Pakistan warns India against Kashmir ‘adventuris…

Pakistan has strongly condemned recent remarks by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh about Jammu and Kashmir. Islamabad warned New Delhi against any move that could increase tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

The Foreign Office said Singh’s comments were provocative and irresponsible. It said the remarks misrepresented the internationally recognised position on the Kashmir dispute.

Pakistan maintained that the Jammu and Kashmir issue remains on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council. Islamabad said relevant UN resolutions remain an important part of the international framework surrounding the dispute.

The Foreign Office said India could not change the disputed status of Kashmir through political statements. It also rejected what it described as attempts to present the issue as settled through unilateral claims.

Pakistan warned India not to underestimate the resolve of its government and people. The Foreign Office said Islamabad was determined to protect the country’s interests and respond to any attempt at military adventurism.

The statement also called on the international community to take notice of India’s policies. Pakistan specifically urged the United Nations to pay attention to what it described as India’s failure to comply with relevant Security Council resolutions.

Islamabad said the Indian minister’s comments appeared to divert attention from other issues. The Foreign Office referred to Pakistan’s allegations concerning the situation in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

The statement also accused India of contributing to regional instability. Pakistan said threatening rhetoric could have wider consequences for peace and security in South Asia.

The latest response came a day after Defence Minister Khawaja Asif rejected Singh’s remarks. Asif said political statements from New Delhi could not alter the internationally recognised nature of the Kashmir dispute.

Asif also criticised what he called intimidation and threatening rhetoric. He said Pakistan would not accept attempts to change established positions through unilateral declarations.

Relations between Pakistan and India have remained tense for decades, with Kashmir continuing to be a major source of disagreement. Both countries claim the disputed region, while controlling separate parts of it.

Pakistan has consistently called for the Kashmir issue to be resolved through the relevant international framework. Islamabad has also stressed the right of the Kashmiri people to determine their political future.

The latest exchange of statements has further highlighted the deep differences between the two countries. Pakistan has urged India to avoid actions and statements that could worsen the regional security situation.

Islamabad’s warning comes as both sides remain highly sensitive to developments involving Kashmir. Pakistani officials have repeatedly said that peace in South Asia requires dialogue and respect for international commitments.

Jenna Ortega reveals the hidden pressure she faced…

Jenna Ortega is reflecting on an uncomfortable part of growing up in Hollywood, revealing that her determination to succeed sometimes led her to ignore basic needs while working on set. The Wednesday and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice actress recently spoke with Esquire about her childhood career and the pressure she placed on herself to avoid becoming a burden to anyone around her. Ortega began acting professionally as a child and said she was so grateful for every opportunity that she wanted to make sure she was always easy to work with. (EW.com) Ortega wanted to stay out of the way Looking back at her early years, Ortega said she struggled to think of mistakes she had made as a young performer. She explained that she was extremely focused on maintaining her “game face” because she was excited to be working. That mindset came with an unexpected cost. Ortega recalled that she would avoid asking for things on set, including food and water, because she did not want to interrupt anyone or appear demanding. She explained that there were days when she would go without eating or drinking because she was determined not to be “in the way.” Ortega now sees that behavior differently, suggesting that failing to look after herself may have been the mistake she overlooked at the time. (EW.com) The pressure of childhood stardom Ortega’s experience highlights a less visible side of being a young performer. Child actors can face long working days, unfamiliar environments and pressure to perform professionally despite still being children. For Ortega, the desire to prove herself appears to have been particularly strong. She had wanted to act from a young age after being inspired by Dakota Fanning’s performance in Man on Fire. Her mother eventually helped her pursue auditions, including long drives between their California home and Los Angeles. (Vanity Fair) Her career eventually grew through projects including Jane the Virgin and Disney Channel’s Stuck in the Middle before she became a global star through Wednesday. Learning to care for herself Ortega’s comments show how her perspective has changed with age. What once felt like dedication now looks more like an example of how badly she wanted to avoid disappointing people. Her story also serves as a reminder that young performers should not have to sacrifice their basic needs to prove they deserve opportunities. Adults responsible for productions have an important role in making sure children are supported and cared for while working. Today, Ortega is in a very different position professionally. With major projects including Klara and the Sun and The Great Beyond ahead, she has the experience to approach her career with a greater understanding of her own boundaries and needs. (people.com)i

Zendaya’s wedding dress gets mysterious hint from Law Roach

Zendaya’s secret wedding dress has received another intriguing hint, this time from her longtime stylist Law Roach, who has remained tight-lipped about the highly anticipated gown. During a recent interview with Ziwe Fumudoh, Roach was asked about Zendaya’s wedding dress and the online speculation surrounding what the actress may have worn for her reported wedding to Tom Holland. Fumudoh reminded Roach that he had previously appeared on television and claimed Zendaya’s real wedding dress was far better than the artificial intelligence-generated images that had circulated online. When asked to describe the mysterious gown, the stylist kept his answer short and playful. “Better than AI,” he said. The three-word response has only added to the curiosity surrounding Zendaya’s bridal look, which has been kept away from the public eye. Fans have been flooded with AI-generated images claiming to show what the actress might have worn, but Roach has repeatedly insisted that those images do not reflect the actual dress. During an appearance on Good Morning America in June 2026, Roach was asked about the viral AI-created wedding gown. He was quick to dismiss the design, saying it was not good enough and confidently assuring viewers that Zendaya’s real dress was much better. When host Lara Spencer asked whether the final gown looked anything like the AI-generated version, Roach gave a firm response and rejected the comparison. His comments are consistent with what he revealed about Zendaya and Holland’s approach to their relationship more than a year earlier. In a May 2025 interview, Roach explained that the couple had always valued their privacy and were unlikely to make their wedding a major public event. According to the stylist, Zendaya and Holland wanted to keep the occasion intimate and protected from excessive media attention. He also suggested that fans should not expect an elaborate magazine feature or widely circulated photographs from the ceremony. Roach explained that Zendaya’s wedding dress could ultimately become something very few people outside the wedding would ever see, making the gown even more mysterious. What sparked Zendaya and Tom Holland’s marriage rumours? Zendaya and Tom Holland have been romantically linked since 2017, when their relationship first became a major subject of public interest. Although the pair have generally avoided discussing their romance in detail, their appearances together and occasional public moments have continued to fuel interest. The couple reportedly became engaged during the 2024 holiday season, further intensifying speculation about when they might officially tie the knot. In March 2026, wedding rumours reached another level when Law Roach appeared at the SAG Awards and made comments that appeared to suggest Zendaya and Holland had already exchanged vows. While neither star has publicly shared extensive details about a ceremony, Roach’s remarks gave fans a significant reason to believe that the wedding may have already taken place. For now, Zendaya’s wedding dress remains one of the biggest mysteries surrounding the couple. With Roach continuing to insist that the real gown is “better than AI,” fans may have to wait much longer before seeing the look for themselves.

Pakistan links JAAC protests to India-funded forei…

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has alleged that violent protests by the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir are being driven by militant elements pursuing a foreign agenda with Indian funding, as the government moves to restore order following the first phase of regional elections. Speaking on Tuesday, Tarar maintained that while the recent elections in the Mirpur division were peaceful and transparent, the banned outfit could not accept the democratic process and resorted to violence. He noted that the people of Kashmir had given a “spectacular response” to the elections, with 600,000 votes cast in Rawalakot alone. Tarar claimed that investigators have uncovered irrefutable evidence linking the JAAC’s social media campaign to India. Security agencies recently arrested a digital marketing services provider whose payment trails were traced to Indian gateways. According to the minister, an entire misinformation network was operating through bot farms to spread anti-state content targeting Pakistan’s sovereignty, government institutions, and armed forces. The investigation also recovered WhatsApp conversations between the arrested suspect and an Indian operator discussing payments and content amplification. “The investigation found that the entire misinformation network was operating through bot farms,” Tarar stated, adding that forensic analysis identified India-based accounts even when VPNs were used. State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry emphasized that the government had accepted 37 out of 38 JAAC demands, with only the issue of refugee seats in the AJK Legislative Assembly remaining unresolved due to constitutional complexities. “Thirty-seven out of 38 JAAC demands were accepted, and the government of Pakistan fully cooperated with them,” Chaudhry said. He noted that the movement was not about securing rights but about “snatching” the rights of AJK people. The minister questioned the timing of the protests, noting that JAAC initially tried to stop the election schedule in AJK. “When they failed, JAAC members started long marches, sit-ins, strikes, blocked roads and disrupted activities across the region,” he added. The AJK government has declared JAAC a proscribed organization under the Anti-Terrorism Act, and authorities have announced a Rs10 million reward for information leading to the arrest of four wanted JAAC leaders. Officials allege that armed members of the group have engaged in violence, resulting in injuries to police personnel. The federal government has assured full support to AJK authorities in maintaining law and order.

  • Ufone service disruption, Senate questions PTA over telecom merger

Islamabad: Pakistan’s telecom sector came under serious scrutiny as the Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat questioned the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) over the recent disruption in Ufone services and demanded answers about the future of the country’s mobile communication system. During the meeting chaired by Senator Rana Mahmood ul Hassan, Chairman PTA was directly questioned about the reason behind the Ufone service failure. Senator Rana Mahmood ul Hassan asked, “Why has Ufone’s service collapsed?” while seeking an explanation from the telecom regulator. Responding to the concerns, Chairman PTA informed the committee that Ufone is a government-owned company and said the issues would be resolved after the completion of the ongoing merger process between Ufone and Telenor. The Chairman PTA further informed the committee that after the merger of Ufone and Telenor, a new telecommunications company would be established, marking a major change in Pakistan’s telecom sector. The committee was informed that Pakistan currently has 210 million active SIMs, showing continued expansion of mobile connectivity across the country. However, lawmakers raised questions about whether service quality is improving at the same pace as user growth. The meeting was attended by Senators Saadia Abbasi, Abdul Qadir, Dilawar Khan, Aimal Wali Khan and Saleem Mandviwalla, along with the Secretary Cabinet Division and Secretary Establishment Division. The Chairman PTA also briefed the committee about the restructuring of PTCL and Ufone, stating that both companies are being separated as part of the ongoing changes in the telecommunications sector. During the discussion on digital reforms, the PTA Chairman informed lawmakers that talks are underway with NADRA to introduce SIM issuance through the Pak ID platform. Under the proposed system, citizens may be able to obtain SIM cards from their homes through a digital process, reducing the need for physical visits. However, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla raised concerns over Pakistan’s position in modern telecom technology and questioned why the country has not moved faster towards eSIM technology, which is already being adopted globally. The committee stressed that Pakistan’s telecom sector needs stronger digital development, better customer services and modern solutions to meet international standards. The PTA Chairman informed the committee that the merger process between Ufone and Telenor is expected to bring improvements and create a stronger telecommunications company. The regulator said these changes aim to improve services and strengthen Pakistan’s telecom infrastructure. The meeting concluded with the committee emphasizing the importance of transparency, accountability, digital advancement and improved public service delivery in government institutions, especially in sectors directly connected with millions of citizens.
