Rashmika Mandanna gives fans a peek into her recovery days

Rashmika Mandanna has offered fans a glimpse into her life while recovering from a hip injury. She shared a carousel of photos capturing her everyday routine at home.

The 30-year-old captioned the post by saying her days always look like this whenever she’s stuck at home for an extended stretch. The images showed a relaxed, casual side rarely seen on her social media.

The photos featured Mandanna in an oversized T-shirt with her glasses on, spending time with her family. Several pictures also included her pet Aura and husband Vijay Deverakonda.

Reflecting on the slower pace of recovery, the actress shared a thoughtful note about how perspective shifts when life forces you to pause. She said hustling constantly once felt normal, but stepping back now makes the busyness feel almost overwhelming in hindsight.

She added that she has been surrounded by immense love, positivity, prayers and gratitude during this period. Her words struck a reflective, grateful tone throughout the post.

Fans quickly flooded the comments section with well wishes for a smooth recovery. Many also picked up on a small detail in the photos, her flower-shaped mangalsutra, which drew extra attention online.

Mandanna is currently recovering after injuring her hip while filming a dance sequence for her upcoming project “Mysaa.” She had previously explained the injury in detail, revealing that one of the tendons connecting her hip to her leg had detached during the shoot.

She described needing that tendon to reattach properly before she would be able to lift her leg normally again. The injury reportedly occurred mid-performance during rehearsals for the film.

Mandanna also opened up about the broader lesson the experience taught her. She said it pushed her to start treating her body with more care, rather than pushing through pain the way she previously did.

She admitted this was not an isolated incident either, revealing she had faced three injuries in fairly close succession. For now, she appears to be leaning into rest and recovery, using the downtime to reconnect with the people closest to her.

Diego Luna to receive Honorary Heart of Sarajevo for his lasting impact on cinema

Diego Luna, an actor known for an impressive string of standout roles throughout his career, is about to reach a significant milestone. The Sarajevo Film Festival has announced it will honor him with its prestigious Honorary Heart of Sarajevo award in 2026, recognizing what organizers describe as his lasting contribution to filmmaking. Luna, who earned widespread acclaim for his role in “Andor,” expressed genuine gratitude upon hearing the news. He shared that he has long wanted to visit Sarajevo, having heard glowing accounts from fellow industry colleagues about their experiences at the festival over the years. Beyond receiving the honor, Luna will also use the festival as a platform to showcase his latest project. The “Narcos: Mexico” star will present “Ashes,” marking his newest work as a director, to festival audiences. He described feeling honored by the recognition while also expressing excitement about finally sharing his directorial project with viewers. Festival director Jovan Marjanović spoke warmly about Luna’s artistic journey, recalling how the actor first captured audiences’ attention roughly twenty-five years ago through his breakout performance in “Y Tu Mamá También.” Marjanović noted that even then, it was clear they were witnessing the rise of an artist unafraid to explore new creative territory, someone capable of moving fluidly between blockbuster Hollywood projects and smaller, deeply personal stories rooted in Latin American culture. The festival director further praised Luna’s substantial body of work, describing its lasting influence on modern cinema and calling it a genuine privilege to present him with this honor. Luna first gained international recognition through Alfonso Cuarón’s coming-of-age drama “Y Tu Mamá También,” a role that launched him into the global spotlight. Since then, he has built an extensive filmography, collaborating with numerous respected filmmakers, including Steven Spielberg, Gus Van Sant, and Harmony Korine, further cementing his reputation as a versatile and accomplished performer. This year’s Sarajevo Film Festival, marking its 32nd edition, will run from August 14 through August 21, bringing together filmmakers, actors, and cinema enthusiasts from around the world. Luna’s dual presence, both as an honoree and as a filmmaker presenting new work, positions him as one of the festival’s central figures this year, highlighting both his acting legacy and his evolving voice behind the camera.

Hollywood star Jim Carrey has broken his silence following the unexpected death of acclaimed filmmaker Chuck Russell, the director who helped shape one of the actor’s most beloved films, The Mask. Russell passed away on July 22 at his home in the San Diego area at the age of 74, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in Hollywood. His family confirmed his death, though the cause has not yet been disclosed.  Carrey, who starred as Stanley Ipkiss in the 1994 blockbuster, shared an emotional statement remembering the filmmaker’s creativity, warmth, and joyful spirit. Speaking to People, the actor said it was a privilege to work alongside Russell and praised the director for creating a fun, imaginative atmosphere on set. “I consider it a privilege to have worked with Chuck Russell, who, during the shooting of The Mask, created an ebullient, childlike atmosphere of wonder and camaraderie on his set,” Carrey said. He added that everyone involved in the production was inspired by Russell’s playful energy and passion for filmmaking.  Released in 1994, The Mask became a massive box-office success, earning more than $351 million worldwide. The film not only cemented Jim Carrey’s status as one of Hollywood’s biggest comedy stars but also introduced Cameron Diaz in her feature film debut. Russell’s unique vision transformed the Dark Horse comic adaptation into a colorful, family-friendly comedy filled with groundbreaking visual effects that continue to impress audiences decades later.  Chuck Russell’s career extended far beyond The Mask. He directed fan-favorite films including A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, The Blob, Eraser starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and The Scorpion King, which marked Dwayne Johnson’s first leading film role. His ability to blend action, horror, comedy, and visual innovation made him one of Hollywood’s most versatile directors.  Tributes from across the entertainment industry continue to pour in as colleagues and fans celebrate Russell’s contributions to cinema. For Jim Carrey, the loss is deeply personal, as the filmmaker played a key role in one of the defining moments of his career. Ariana Grande’s Petal video sparks fresh health concerns

Ariana Grande has once again become the centre of online discussion after the release of her new music video for Petal, with fans expressing renewed concern over the singer’s noticeably slim appearance. While many praised the video’s creative direction, others said they were worried about Grande’s health, reigniting a debate that has followed the pop star for several years. In one of the video’s opening scenes, Grande appears at an audition wearing a Grease-inspired outfit consisting of black leggings, an off-the-shoulder black top, a matching neck scarf, vintage-style sunglasses, pearl earrings, black heels and a leather jacket draped over her shoulder. Her signature ponytail was styled into tight curls as she joined a group of aspiring actresses in a choreographed waiting-room dance sequence. Soon after the video’s release, social media platforms were flooded with reactions. Many fans admired the song and visuals but admitted they were distracted by Grande’s appearance. One fan wrote: “She is extremely thin and it’s concerning.” Another commented: “I think people are allowed to be concerned for her health.” A third person remarked: “Bones are literally popping out.” Another fan wrote: “As an Ari fan, the song and video are absolutely incredible concepts and incredibly executed but honestly all I can think about is how I hope she’s okay because she literally looks ill. She needs to get help.” However, many others rushed to Grande’s defence, arguing that constant public discussion about her body amounts to body-shaming rather than genuine concern. One supporter wrote: “If y’all actually cared about her you wouldn’t be publicly making comments about her body.” Another added: “Leave her body alone. Ariana doesn’t exist for your commentary. She’s out here meeting fans, dropping Petal, and living her life. Her weight is not a public discussion. Body-shaming a woman for being thin is still body-shaming.” A third fan posted: “CLOCK THEM, ARIANA GRANDE. THEY BETTER STOP COMMENTING ON HER BODY, HER WEIGHT, OR HER LOOKS. It’s weird, it’s unnecessary, and she doesn’t owe anyone an explanation for how she looks.” The renewed discussion echoes comments Grande herself made in 2024 when she spoke about the pressure women face over their appearance. During an interview, the singer admitted that public scrutiny can be painful. “I think that it’s something that is uncomfortable no matter what scale you’re experiencing it on.” She also described comments about a person’s weight as: “Uncomfortable” and “horrible.” Grande further explained that society has become far too comfortable commenting on other people’s appearance, saying: “There’s a comfortability that people have commenting on that that I think is really dangerous.” Despite the ongoing debate, Petal has been warmly received for its music and visual storytelling, with many fans urging others to focus on Grande’s artistry rather than her physical appearance. The latest conversation once again highlights the growing discussion around celebrity privacy, body image and the impact of online commentary on public figures.

Brad Pitt broke sobriety at Taylor Swift and Travi…

Brad Pitt’s recent revelation about his changing relationship with alcohol has sparked fresh attention around a reported sighting at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. The Oscar-winning actor recently revealed that he had returned to drinking after maintaining seven years of sobriety. Shortly before that revelation became public, Pitt was reportedly seen drinking at Swift and Kelce’s star-studded wedding in New York in July. However, the sighting does not establish exactly when he began drinking again. (People.com) Pitt’s sobriety revelation In a new interview with Esquire, Pitt opened up about his seven-year period of sobriety and acknowledged that he eventually started drinking alcohol again. The actor described himself as having “got back off the wagon,” while explaining that his current approach is much more restrained than it was in the past. Pitt also acknowledged that he had become overconfident at certain points and learned that drinking heavily was not something he could handle responsibly. (TMZ) His comments quickly attracted widespread attention because sobriety had been an important part of his personal journey for years. The wedding sighting raises questions Pitt attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding in New York alongside his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. The event brought together numerous celebrities, and Pitt was among the high-profile guests spotted at the celebration. (The Hollywood Reporter) Reports published after Pitt’s Esquire interview claimed that he was seen drinking at the wedding. The timing has therefore led to speculation about whether the celebration marked an important moment in his return to alcohol. Still, it would be misleading to say that Pitt definitely “broke” his sobriety at the wedding. Neither the reported sighting nor Pitt’s interview establishes that the wedding was the first occasion on which he drank again. A different approach to alcohol Pitt’s latest comments suggest that his relationship with drinking has changed rather than simply returning to his previous habits. He said he now drinks in a more controlled manner and remains aware of his personal limits. (Los Angeles Times) His disclosure has added a new chapter to a sobriety journey he has discussed publicly over the years. Rather than confirming online speculation about a specific event, Pitt’s own comments provide the clearest picture: after seven years without alcohol, he decided to drink again while attempting to keep it restrained. For now, the wedding sighting remains an intriguing detail surrounding his revelation, but there is no confirmed evidence that it was the exact moment his sobriety ended.

‘Tamasha’ returns for season five, promises bigger drama

Adnan Siddiqui has officially confirmed the return of Tamasha, announcing that its fifth season premieres today. He shared the news alongside photos with the show’s former winners, building instant buzz among fans. The actor posted images with past champions of the reality series to mark the occasion. In his caption, he promised the drama would be bigger and the arguments meaner than in previous seasons. Siddiqui kept his message short but effective, simply telling fans to expect the unexpected. The line was enough to stir fresh anticipation among the show’s loyal viewer base. Tamasha follows a group of celebrity contestants living together inside a house, completely cut off from the outside world. Throughout the season, they face daily tasks, public evictions and constant conflict among housemates. Siddiqui has now overseen four previous seasons of the show, each producing a new winner. Past champions include Umer Aalam, Aruba Mirza, Malik Aqeel and Saif Ali Khan, all of whom remain closely associated with the franchise. Just last week, a short teaser gave fans their first real look at the upcoming season. It showed new contestants covering their faces as they made their way toward the house, keeping their identities hidden for now. Several former winners also jumped in to share their own posts, adding to the reunion excitement. Season two winner Aruba Mirza wrote that every season creates new stories, but some victories become memories that last forever. Season four champion Saif Ali Khan shared his own photos from around the newly revamped mansion. He captioned the post by hinting at a bigger house and even bigger dreams this time around. Last season’s finale had already generated massive hype, with viewers hooked on the drama and viral clips flooding social media. Alongside that popularity, though, the show also faced criticism over incidents of alleged sexist behaviour inside the house. Those controversies, paired with the friendships and rivalries unfolding on screen, kept audiences deeply invested throughout the run. With a new batch of contestants, a redesigned house, and Siddiqui himself promising even bigger drama, season five looks primed to dominate conversations all over again.
