Taylor Swift officially joins the Kelce family

Taylor Swift has officially become a member of the Kelce family following her marriage to NFL star Travis Kelce, and his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, has finally opened up about the memorable occasion. Speaking for the first time since the wedding, Kylie shared warm and heartfelt reflections on the couple’s special day during a recent episode of her podcast, Not Gonna Lie.

Kylie, 34, described the ceremony as a beautiful and emotional celebration that brought both families together. Although she had remained quiet about the event until now, she decided to express her happiness and congratulate the newlyweds publicly.

“I want to congratulate Taylor and Travis. The wedding was absolutely beautiful, and I couldn’t be happier for them,” Kylie said during the podcast. “We all love them very much, and in many ways this wedding simply made official something that had already been true for a long time. Taylor has felt like part of our family for quite a while.”

According to reports, the couple exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Their wedding came after three years of dating and approximately one year of being engaged. Close friends and family attended the private celebration, making it a meaningful occasion rather than a lavish public spectacle.

Several family members played important roles in the ceremony. Jason Kelce and Kylie’s daughters served as flower girls, adding a touching family element to the event. Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, stood beside her as her man of honor, highlighting the close bond between the siblings.

Kylie’s comments reflected the affection and support that the Kelce family has shown Taylor throughout her relationship with Travis. Her remarks suggested that Taylor had already formed strong relationships with family members long before the wedding, making the marriage a natural next step rather than a dramatic change.

Fans quickly reacted to Kylie’s heartfelt message across social media, praising both her kindness and the close relationship between the two families. Many admired the warmth in her comments and appreciated the sense of unity surrounding the couple.

One fan wrote that Kylie had expressed the situation perfectly, adding that Taylor had clearly been embraced by the Kelce family for a long time. The commenter also celebrated how the Swift and Kelce families had grown closer throughout the relationship.

Another fan congratulated the newlyweds but jokingly noted that they were still waiting for an official social media announcement confirming the marriage. The lighthearted comment reflected the excitement many fans continue to feel about the couple’s relationship.

Although neither Taylor Swift nor Travis Kelce has publicly shared extensive details about the ceremony, Kylie’s heartfelt remarks have offered fans a rare glimpse into the intimate celebration. Her comments painted a picture of a joyful family gathering filled with love, support, and lasting memories, marking the beginning of a new chapter for one of the world’s most talked-about celebrity couples.

Pakistani celebrities voice support for India’s student protesters

A student movement in India demanding accountability and reform in the country’s education system has drawn a wave of public support from celebrities on both sides of the border, with Pakistani and Indian stars alike using their platforms to stand alongside the protesters. The Cockroach Janta Party movement began after allegations emerged of widespread examination paper leaks, and has since grown into a nationwide campaign calling for greater transparency and systemic reform in India’s education sector. While the protests started peacefully, clashes with authorities have since been reported in some areas, drawing even wider attention to the students’ cause. Pakistani actors were among the first from across the border to express solidarity. Azfar Rehman shared a video showing alleged police brutality against the protesters, writing: “Shame on the Indian police and government for such insensitive and inhumane behaviour towards students. It’s really sad how these kids are being insulted and beaten up.” Television host Maya Khan praised the students’ awareness and sense of purpose, describing today’s youth as well-informed and saying she stood with them regardless of nationality. Actor Bilal Qureshi expressed empathy, writing simply: “I can feel the pain of this generation, here and there.” Rapper Talha Anjum addressed the protesters directly in an Instagram Story, telling them he had great respect for their resilience and understood their frustration, urging them to stay strong. From within India’s own entertainment industry, the response has been equally vocal. Salman Khan shared a childhood photograph of himself in a school uniform on Instagram, describing the protests as a peaceful movement for educational reform and expressing sadness at the violent turn some demonstrations had taken. He called the issue of paper leaks a very serious one and urged that the movement stay focused on education rather than be pulled into political territory. Alia Bhatt praised the students’ determination in a heartfelt post, describing them as the generation that will shape India’s future and calling their persistence both heartbreaking and hopeful in equal measure. Preity Zinta also voiced support for the students’ demands while cautioning that peaceful demonstrations should not be taken over by what she described as anti-national elements. She additionally called on the Indian government to begin meaningful dialogue with activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike since the protests began. Rakhi Sawant expressed support and questioned the treatment students had faced during the demonstrations. Other Bollywood names who had already lent their voices to the movement included Diljit Dosanjh, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shabana Azmi, Pooja Bhatt, Arijit Singh, actor Imran Khan and Zeenat Aman. Not all celebrities have spoken out, and the silence of some has drawn its own kind of scrutiny. A fan page dedicated to Katrina Kaif reportedly shut down, citing disappointment over her decision not to comment on the protests, a reminder that on certain issues, staying quiet is itself read as a statement by an audience that is watching closely.

Dylan Mulvaney responds after Trump remarks

Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney has responded after US President Donald Trump mentioned her several times during his speech at the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Dinner, saying she was surprised to remain a topic of conversation years after her controversial Bud Light partnership. Mulvaney addressed the remarks in a TikTok video, where she congratulated CNN correspondent Kaitlan Collins before responding to Trump’s comments. The White House Correspondents’ Dinner, originally scheduled for April, was postponed after a gunman opened fire while the event was underway. During his speech on Friday, Trump congratulated CNN White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins on receiving a journalism award before joking about her success and comparing her to Mulvaney. Trump said, “I thought Kaitlan had really made it big with a major new sponsorship, but then I informed her that it wasn’t her on the Bud Light can, it was Dylan Mulvaney.” He went on to criticise Mulvaney’s 2023 promotional campaign with Bud Light, adding, “Dylan Mulvaney cost Bud Light $35 billion in market cap. That was the worst commercial ever made by the way, for those few people who want to hear that. Most people don’t care, but I would. I wouldn’t want to hire Dylan any time soon.” According to the report, Trump later shared an edited image on social media that placed Kaitlan Collins’ face onto Mulvaney’s body from the Bud Light advertisement, further extending the joke beyond the dinner. The post quickly circulated online and generated widespread discussion on social media. In a TikTok response posted on Sunday, Mulvaney began by congratulating Collins on her award. She said, “I would like to tell her that I’m incredibly honored to be compared to her in any way, and I hope that she keeps doing all the great work.” She then pointed out that Trump had mentioned her repeatedly during his speech, saying, “And yet I am still his topic of conversation all these years later.” Reflecting on the continued attention she receives, Mulvaney added, “It seems to me that I might be like the one that got away for these men.” She also made it clear that she would not want support from an administration whose policies she believes do not support her or many others, stating, “I wouldn’t want to be professionally supported by an administration that doesn’t personally support me or so many others in this country.” Mulvaney concluded her video with a pointed remark about the criticism she has received from the administration. “Maybe being publicly mocked and criticized by this administration is actually like the greatest compliment of all,” she said. Her response has since gone viral, drawing mixed reactions online, with supporters praising her composure while critics continued debating the controversy surrounding her Bud Light partnership and Trump’s remarks.

Erica Robin urges Pakistan to protect children

Pakistan’s first Miss Universe, Erica Robin, used Independence Day to highlight an urgent issue facing children across the country, urging parents to take stronger measures to protect them from sexual abuse. In a message shared on social media, Robin said that while Independence Day is a time to celebrate Pakistan, the occasion should also be used to speak about serious social problems. She said recent reports of violence and abuse involving children were deeply disturbing and required greater awareness among families. Robin offered parents three key suggestions for protecting their children. First, she urged parents not to assume that children are automatically safe with relatives or other people they know. She said families should remain aware of who has regular access to their children, regardless of whether the child is a boy or a girl. Her second recommendation was to teach children about personal boundaries. Robin said children should understand that their bodies belong to them and that they have the right to refuse unwanted physical contact. Parents, she stressed, should never force children to hug, kiss or show affection to another person if they are uncomfortable. Robin identified open communication as the most important step. She encouraged parents to create an environment where children can speak freely about anything that makes them uncomfortable or frightened. She also advised parents to pay attention to sudden changes in a child’s behaviour, particularly when the child appears uneasy around a particular person. The model urged parents to share these lessons with others and work collectively to create an environment where children feel safe, respected and heard. Her message comes amid continuing concerns over child abuse in Pakistan. More than 1,900 cases of child abuse were reported across the country during the first half of the year, according to data cited in the report. Several recent cases have intensified public concern. In Karachi, police arrested a 17-year-old relative after the father of a young girl reported that she had gone out with him to buy something and later returned unconscious after being sexually assaulted. Earlier, the deaths of two young girls in Karachi and Sargodha also sparked outrage. Police investigations into both cases involved allegations of sexual violence, while several suspects were detained in connection with the incidents.

LAPD expert testifies on air fresheners found in D4vd’s Tesla

A Los Angeles Police Department criminalist gave testimony this week about evidence found inside singer D4vd’s Tesla. Chelsea Murillo took the stand on July 22, the second day of the preliminary hearing, and told the court that she discovered eleven air fresheners scattered throughout the vehicle. Most of them were found in the center console, the rear seats, and the frunk. Murillo said she also noticed air fresheners tucked into the rear door pockets. Beyond that, she reported finding insects and dead flies in the vehicle’s front storage compartment. During her testimony, prosecutors presented photos as evidence. One image showed the air fresheners recovered from the car and the other displayed a mass of fly larvae found in the area where the body had reportedly been hidden. Murillo described a strong smell coming from inside the vehicle. She testified that the odor matched what she recognized as the smell of a decomposing body. The forensic inspection took place on September 9, 2025, one day after the remains were first discovered. The case centers on the death of a 14-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas Hernandez, D4vd is accused of killing her in 2025. Prosecutors allege the teen had threatened to expose details about a sexual relationship with the singer. According to reports, Celeste was just 13 years old when the relationship reportedly began. The preliminary hearing is expected to continue as more evidence and testimony are presented. Investigators have focused heavily on forensic details tied to the vehicle, given its central role in the case. Court proceedings so far have relied on physical evidence, including scent-based observations and biological findings inside the car. The presence of insects and decomposition-related signs has become a key point in establishing the timeline of events. D4vd has not been convicted, and the legal process remains ongoing. The hearing will help determine whether the case moves forward to trial. As details continue to emerge, the case has drawn significant public attention, given the singer’s public profile and the serious nature of the allegations involved. Updates from the courtroom are expected in the coming days as the hearing progresses further.

Mustafa Zahid may return for ‘Awarapan 2’ remake track

Nearly two decades after Tera Mera Rishta became one of the biggest hits from Awarapan, original singer Mustafa Zahid may be returning for the sequel. The Pakistani vocalist appears set to reunite with the franchise’s makers. According to a Mid-day report, the 41-year-old is reportedly in talks with producers Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Bhatt. The discussions center around a remake for Awarapan 2. The development is notable given Bollywood’s long-standing stance on Pakistani artistes since the 2016 Uri attack. That boycott was reaffirmed more recently, following the 2025 Pahalgam attack. Despite that backdrop, talks are reportedly moving forward. If the deal goes through, the song would reportedly be recorded in Dubai rather than India. A source close to the matter told the publication that this could mark one of the rare recent instances of a Pakistani playback singer working on a mainstream Hindi film. However, the track itself will not feature in Awarapan 2 directly, as its inclusion could create certification complications for the film. To work around that, the makers are said to be considering releasing the song exclusively through social media promotions, bypassing theatrical use entirely. Meanwhile, the film’s own trailer dropped on August 6, marking the franchise’s return after 19 years. Emraan Hashmi reprises his role as Shivam Pandit, now portrayed as older and more emotionally scarred. Disha Patani joins the cast as Zara, while Shabana Azmi takes on the role of antagonist Nafisa. The soundtrack brings together composers Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli and Amaal Malik, among others, with tracks like Ve Junoon and Yeh Awarapan already released. The trailer also includes a recreated version of Tera Mera Rishta, now sung by Saaj Bhatt and Subodhh Sharma. Original lyricist Sayeed Qadri has returned to pen the updated version of the track. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 is set for a worldwide release on August 14. The film will clash at the box office with Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947, setting up a high-profile release-date showdown.
