Young Hua Hin sports stars inspire community, raising 150,000 baht for children in need
Local youth in Hua Hin showed that you’re never too young to make a big difference during the recent Hua Hin Heroes Charity Golf Day, organised by the Heroes Hua Hin Foundation with the generous support of main sponsor Orchid Palm Homes.
On Saturday 7th February at Pineapple Valley Golf Club five incredible young golfers — Roman Clark, Maxim Martini, Hazel Marie Stitt, Teerawut (JJ) Boonseeor and Napon (An-Tien) Pichittanarak, aged between just 8 and 15 — took on an extraordinary fundraising challenge, spending six hours on the course in baking heat as they played against all 144 adult golfers taking part in the event.
Through sheer determination, resilience and sporting talent, the children alone raised an astonishing 150,000 Thai Baht ($4,800) to support underprivileged children and schools across the Hua Hin community.
Speaking after the event, Adam Clark, one of the founders of Hua Hin Heroes and father of the youngest volunteer, eight-year-old Roman Clark, said:
“This achievement was truly incredible. It was a long, hot day on the golf course, but the kids smiled from start to finish and never gave up. They should be immensely proud of themselves — raising such a life-changing amount of money at such a young age is something truly special.”
Officially the youngest volunteers in the history of Hua Hin Heroes — with the youngest just eight years old — the group showcased not only the bright future of sporting talent in Hua Hin, but also the powerful spirit of compassion and community among its youth.
The charity golf day was a huge success overall, raising a total of 2.1 million Baht, and gaining national recognition through coverage in both the Bangkok Post and Forbes Thailand.
With young leaders like these stepping forward, the future of Hua Hin — in sport and in community support — is brighter than ever.
