35% off
Samsung Galaxy S26 on sale at Amazon
Just £519.82 down from £959 RRP
The Samsung Galaxy S26 is a compact flagship that offers a 6.3-inch display, a great triple-camera system and Samsung’s Galaxy AI features in a relatively small body.
Samsung’s compact flagship is currently available for just £619.82 at Amazon, down from its stated RRP of £959. That saves you £339.18 (35% off). The price shown on the Amazon product page is higher, but an additional £19.18 discount is applied at checkout, bringing the final price down to £619.82. This makes it the lowest price the Samsung Galaxy S26 has ever reached at Amazon.
The price has fallen considerably since September, when it was still around £779, before dropping to between £659 and £679. The current offer therefore beats its recent prices as well as its previous low.
This deal covers the white version with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.
What the Samsung Galaxy S26 has to offer
The Galaxy S26 has a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate makes scrolling and animations look smoother, while the relatively compact screen size may suit you if you prefer a phone that is easier to handle than larger flagship models. I know what I’m talking about.
The phone comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, giving you plenty of room for apps, photos and videos. The model is also powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 processor. A new vapour chamber and thermal interface material are designed to distribute heat more efficiently, with Samsung claiming up to 29% improved heat dissipation. This should help the phone manage heat during demanding tasks such as gaming, although actual temperatures depend on how you use it.
The triple-camera system consists of a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. You also get a 12MP front camera. The rear camera system supports video recording at up to 8K and 30 frames per second. The phone also includes Galaxy AI and Photo Assist, which lets you edit photos using natural-language prompts.
The 4,300mAh battery supports 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Samsung says the phone can reach up to 55% charge in around 30 minutes. That is useful when you need a quick top-up, although the charging speeds are relatively modest for a flagship smartphone.
Other features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C 3.2 and dual-SIM support with eSIM. The phone also has stereo speakers, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner beneath the display and IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. Its aluminium frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 add to its durability.
Why this offer is worth it
With £619.82, the Galaxy S26 is a more affordable way to get Samsung’s current compact flagship without paying its £959 stated RRP. The 35% reduction is particularly notable because the phone has never been this cheap at Amazon.
In our Samsung Galaxy S26 review, we praised its compact design, impressive cameras, decent battery life and long software support. Night photography is a particular strength, and the display performs well in everyday use. We also found the Horizontal Lock video mode more useful than it might initially sound.
However, the upgrade over the previous generation is relatively small, and the phone has some drawbacks. Software and AI bugs, slow charging and limited upgrades mean it is not a compelling reason for everyone with a recent Galaxy S model to upgrade. Owners of an older phone, such as the Galaxy S23 or earlier, are more likely to notice improvements in battery life, camera performance and processing power.
Users praise the phone’s performance, quality and value for money, while one customer specifically reports better battery life after upgrading from the Galaxy S22. However, one reviewer describes the screen and battery as small.
