Looks like there will be an Oppo Find X10 Ultra after all
Oppo could well supply us with an X10 Ultra smartphone model after all, if recent rumours prove accurate.
Most of us had been operating under the impression that Oppo was skipping its super-premium smartphone line for this generation.
The formidably well equipped Oppo Find X10 Pro Max seemed to be an Ultra in all but name. It features a triple 200Mp camera, an optional clip-on 10x telephoto lens, and an elite-level £1,500 starting price.

During our Oppo Find X10 briefing, we asked about the possibility of an Ultra model but the answer was a little mysterious, so we put it down to a no comment/lost in translation situation. Now it appears Oppo may have been giving us a rare, genuine hint that one was coming.
Tipster Digital Chat Station has posted camera spec details for just such an Ultra phone. Apparently, an existing Oppo Find X10 Ultra engineering sample packs in a 200Mp 1/1.12-inch LOFIC main camera, much like the Oppo Find X9 Ultra before it.
This is larger than the 1/1.3-inch sensor on the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max. Mention of an “HPA/HPU” main sensor suggests that it’ll be made by Samsung.

It’ll also feature a 200Mp 1/1.3-inch periscope lens (which sounds suspiciously like the X10 Pro Max main sensor) and a dedicated 50Mp 10x periscope lens. The latter could either be a 1/1.95-inch sensor or a smaller 1/2.76-inch alternative, depending on availability.
That’s another potential distinguishing mark compared to the Find X10 Pro Max, which only had one telephoto option.
Arguably the most interesting camera spec here is the selfie cam, which is said to feature a 100Mp square sensor. Apple went first with a square front camera in the iPhone 17 Pro, enabling you to choose between landscape or portrait shots in either orientation.
Camera tweaks aside, any prospective Oppo Find X10 Ultra model will have to go some to justify its place in the roster above the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max. We can only imagine how much it’s going to cost.
