Apple already knows you’re going to buy the iPhone 18
Apple is still planning to launch a regular iPhone 18 model, and it seems to be expecting the phone to be extremely popular.
Saying that the next iPhone is going to be a big seller runs the risk of stating the bleeding obvious. The iPhone 18, however, warrants some extra attention.
For the first time that we can remember, Apple has decoupled the launch of its mainstream phone from the Pro. The company launched the iPhone 18 Pro, but left out the regular iPhone 18 so as to leave space for the brand new iPhone Duo.
The iPhone 18 is still in the works, but it’s expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18e early next year.

All eyes will be on the iPhone 18 launch to see how well it sells in its new slot. Will the iPhone 18 Pro have taken all the sting and excitement out of the launch (especially after selling like hot cakes), or will the regular model have more room to breathe when it’s the main event?
We now have some indication that Apple is expecting the latter.
iPhone 18 is going to be big
Weibo tipster Digital Focus has reported (via Abhishek Yadav) that iPhone 18 production is to commence at the end of November. And yes, it will indeed be announced alongside the cheaper iPhone 18e model.
The means, once again, no ‘Plus’ model. More interesting than that is the claim that “Apple is reportedly making a LOT of units this time”.
This has seemingly been backed up by X tipster Saurav, who claims that “Apple is reportedly planning a large production run”.
With smartphone prices rising across the board, it makes sense that Apple’s cheaper models (relatively speaking) are going to be particularly popular going into 2027.
