“Worked at Scottsdale Ferrari in the 90’s. We found two Daytona Spyder’s in an airplane hangar in Mexico. One orange, one was chocolate brown metallic. Both had the same color interior as this one. One had 3,500 miles, the other had 1,800 miles. Yes, they were legit Spyders.
The owner kept talking about stripping them to paint them red. I am unsure if he did but thinking about it makes me sad. From what I was able to find, only 2 were built in orange and 2 in brown. Sure hope they were…”

“Last summer the Eastern PA Chapter of the Audi Club did it’s annual covered bridges drive and ice cream run. A very fun and spirited ~150 mile drive. I show up in my 1989 80 Quattro, my wife drove our 2001 TT 225 Roadster, and a guy I had never seen before at any Audi event shows up in one of these. Jaws dropped. He was super nice, down to earth, and had no problem with any of us getting in and checking it out.”

“@PWSchuh Great observation! This Ace has lived a full life on the track since 1964, and the current suspension reflects how it was dialed in for competition. It handled the turns at Lime Rock and the Hershey Hillclimb beautifully with this setup. While it’s a blast to drive on the street now, the new owner can always revert to a stock alignment. We wanted to show the car with the ‘soul’ of its racing history intact!”
