“So here’s a little story about why I bid on this car. Our family owns this car’s exact twin, but a 2008 model. Our daughter bought it from us to take to college, and named it Joe. Joe has been a faithful member of our family and now has about 190,000 miles, plus lots of bumps and bruises. Our daughter loves Joe and couldn’t imagine driving any other car. But Joes needs some TLC. When this car came up, it seemed like a sign. It literally is Joe, but with a small fraction of the miles…”

    “Ridgelines have quite a following.
In fact there is an online forum dedicated specifically to the Honda Ridgeline (https://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/).
My personal belief is that they are so robust and long lived because they utilize proven engines, transmissions (mostly), AWD design, and even body engineering.
They’re not mechanically high strung, cutting edge, uber fashionable vehicles.
You’re getting solid engineering and time-proven design.
Just the kind of vehicle you can picture…”

Mine’s a 2002 Duratec 2.3l, 5-speed Quaife gearbox, De Dion with LSD rear.
Try this pronunciation as “K8RUM” as one word.”

We have a passionate Healey community here in the Netherlands (and even a very attractive Austin Healey museum), so I hope to restore this car to its original condition and preserve it for future generations. Kudos to BAT!”

“As a Kia enthusiast (yes, we exist), this is the holy grail. The looks you’d get for telling people what this is make it worth any expense. I’d rather have one of these over the Lotus version, just for that novelty. The stock drivetrain isn’t bad at all, but I can’t help but wonder how one of these would do with a modern Gamma 1.6 or 1.6T swap from Hyundai. In a way you’d keep it “in the family” but really liven it up. I don’t think there’s as many purists out there for the Kia version anyway.…”

“Great spot on the 2022 gearbox oil typo.
Our technicians during that time and during 2023 and 2021 records are all former trained factory Lamborghini guys. You can look them up!
As you can see both Motul and Lucas gear oil was used in 2021 and 2023, so I am very confident this is a “ShopWare” typo.
Our software system in the shop was very clunky until recently.
The former owner was very fussy, this is one of the best 1996-1997 Diablo Roadster examples we have seen. The car was…”

He was really impressed and spent a half hour flicking between the photos and commenting on the details presented here with the biggest smile. “This is what the first-gen Celica liftback was meant to be. We got what was spec’ed for US market, same chassis but with the big 5mph bumpers and a much lower-performance engine. The 20R is great for a truck, but 100 hp at 4800 rpm isn’t as much fun as an 18R-G140 hp at 6500 rpm in a sub-2500 lb car.

“Back in the year 2001, I had this long-held notion I’d own a BMW 2002 in the YEAR 2002. So, obviously I began my search too early and found one far too quickly. So, In the dead of Winter, I rented a car and drove from Michigan to Washington DC and bought an Inka 1973 2002tii with sunroof. I drove it home, missing the blizzard in Pennsyvanis by a half day.
A few years later, in 2005, when I moved to the West Coast I drove it to from Michigan, covering 5000 miles within a month — crossing…”

    “Hello Fellow Pantera Fans!
Welcome to the auction for my buddy Jim’s killer ’72 Pantera, chassis #4013. Jim had been looking for a Pantera for a long time, and with my history of owning and restoring many over the years, I was helping in that search. So when this one came up we reviewed it and agreed it was the one he should buy.
Of course, Jim is a perfectionist and loves to drive (usually quite fast!) so 4013, already and incredibly well sorted car, went through a very thorough…”

I remember Dave Sturdevant from when I was involved with race cars, but it was a casual nod in the pits type of thing.
This reminds me of a similar build that someone brought to the SCCA Runoffs at Road Atlanta in the late 80s. It ran in GT 4 or 5 and had a super complex suspension worked out in it. The party trick that they would do in the pits was to set it up off the ground on only three jack…”

“This car brings back mixed memories, let me explain. I had heard about the new Dodge Daytona coming out so I went to the Dodge dealer to check them out. They had two on the lot, a blue non turbo version and a beautiful black turbo Z. I drove both and fell in love with the turbo Z. Of course I did! I was 19 years old and the car was pretty quick. The salesman told me that I didn’t qualify for the turbo financially, but he could do the non turbo. I had no interest. I told him if I couldn’t…”
