“Very happy to have won this e12. I owned a 1980 528i for 12.5 years until it was crushed by a massive oak tree limb. The e12 is my favorite car in the world.”
“Dad had a Del Ray Skylounger when we were kids. The bunk above the cab could be made into seats. We loved riding up there (no such thing as seat belts, of course).”

“Sandi and I want to thank you so much for the incredible comments, stories, and bids this week. Seeing the Bring A Trailer community rally around the GTO has been absolutely spectacular. It is certainly tough to say goodbye to “Baby” after keeping her safe in the Centennial garage since 1983, but we are thrilled to watch her go to a great new home where her story can continue. Again…thanks so much!”

“Looks like a sweet, well-sorted Seven. GLWTA
I’ve done weeks-long, multi thousand mile trips in mine. There is no such thing as excessive luggage capacity that doesn’t block your rear-view mirror.”

“I’m very familiar with this car. I’m the guy that painted it and changed the color from green to blue while working for Mr.Qvale.
It’s nice to see that my work has held up this long and still looking good. This is the only one with this color so it is quite unique. Best of luck to the seller and the buyer.”

A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:
“My Dad and I were at our local Ford dealer buying yet another LTD for family use back in the day. Our sales guy was working on my Dad’s most recent offer (a little game they played). A car carrier truck pulled up front at the dealership and our salesman got all crazy. He said his new ’71 Mach 1 was on the truck and would we mind if he took a minute to get it on the ground. Dad said sure and we all went out to see a very red Mach 1. They got it off the truck and the new owner was just giddy with…”

“Quick comment here! See the white sticker on the bottom corner of the windshield on driver’s side? This is the genuine RCA sticker for parking lot, when Pat Ieraci owned this Volvo since it was new. Pat Ieraci was the influence with RCA to sign Jefferson Airplane. I emailed with (the late) Ieraci’s daughter. She remembered the Volvo with fondness and said her father dearly loved the car. We owned the Volvo and sold it to the present owner. My husband is a life-long master mechanic and…”

“An Alfa like this, in this original condition, is simply priceless. I don’t know who coined the expression “you can’t go home again,” but this car proves them wrong. This car is more than a time capsule, it is a time machine. Drive it and you will be transported back to Italy during an automotive golden age. A 100 point Pebble Beach example couldn’t give you any more pleasure than enjoying this in today’s real world. GLWTA.”

A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:
“Awesome to see another very early production boss! Curious as to when it initially was sold. I own 2013 Boss 302 #0003 in grabber blue. I purchased it in March 2012 from Al Packer Whit Marsh Ford in MD. They had no idea what the production number was and of course I never mentioned it until after I purchased it, then I received a call a few weeks later asking if I’d sell it back or trade it back for another boss plus cash. I declined. I do have more miles on mine, around 9k. Drove it from NJ to…”

“Brings back wonderful memories !!
One of my best friends ordered a ‘63 Galaxie 500 XL Oxford Blue convertible with the 406/405 Tri-Power engine …By the time it arrived it had the new upgraded 427/425 Dual Quad engine..I can vividly remember the first time opening the hood and seeing those chrome valve covers marked 427-T ….I believe the “T” was for transistor ignition.
The ‘63 Galaxie has always been my favorite Ford, especially the
“R” code Fastback version.”

“Ok
So while we were setting up Rally 1
Mike Z who ran the Saleen shop floor set up a red door complete with gurney bubble on a small dolly door stand. For display and option for people coming to have your door converted.
Of course vin 1314 / signature car owner / Me wanted it that day to swap on my red car for the event!
The door was display only because it was a blemish / defect door and not complete , hence the parts missing on this door!
I think Bony had the first bubble after Gurney…”

“This seems to be an outstanding example of one of these rare and truly extraordinary cars. I had my ’15 V12VS Coupe (Sportshift III) out today. People obviously differ regarding what they want from a car, but for me, it really doesn’t get much better than this among modern cars. In addition to all the things that make Aston Martins special, the V12 Vantage S is an absolutely fantastic thing to DRIVE. The engine — performance, smoothness and sound (not sure any car made in the last 40 years…”

“This Mangusta is a great opportunity! I can say this because I owned it prior to Oliver. My shop Grand Touring (grandtouring.com) has considerable experience with almost every Italian exotic. (Recently, we even had two Vallelungas in the shop simultaneously). I searched for quite some time looking for a solid no stories Mangusta for my personal collection. I was excited to find it and never planned to part with it. Regrettably, I needed to part with it to raise cash when the building next…”

“Thank you all for the responses! This car has been in my family since the mid 90’s and one that I fell in love with the moment my Grandfather brought it home. As a kid I use to sit in the back seat and watch him drive it (amazed at how his hands and feet would move) and whenever it was parked I would sit behind the wheel and pretend to drive it myself. When I finally turned 16 he taught me how to drive and although there were many frustrating moments for him and I in this car we both would love…”
