“What a legacy this car has… Bruce McLaren, who “finished second behind Jack Brabham”… those are names I read about in Car & Driver as a kid… cars were named after these men! And the tracks: Silverstone, Riverside, Laguna Seca… storied venues all.

“I drove one of these on the Lotus Factory test track, a phenomenal car. This has the touring suspension which makes it a nice daily driver. I did not drive an Emira with the sport suspension but from what I hear it is still very streetable. I have a friend with an Emira so far the only repairs are software updates.”

This Citroen has always been owned by enthusiasts. It was sold new in France and the second owner moved it to the Netherlands ( a Mecca for Citroens)in 2000. “My late grandfather had a 92 Accord EX sedan that he took to 800,000 before he passed. Unfortunately it was in northern Illinois so by the time he died the car was only about 75% there from the beltline down due to rust. It was a stick and still had the original engine and transmission (I think it was only on t he second clutch) and still drove like a dream. If it wasn’t for the rust I would have kept it and drove it to a million plus. This one is tempting. These are really great cars…”
