“I owned SN 5077 many years ago. The 4-liter engine pulls like a locomotive. There is comfortable seating for 4 adults. I think it is the best of the 2+2 classic Ferraris. You will never regret owning it. – Keith Martin”

“The Gumball Rally Cobra S/N 3243 had been stored for years until around 2013. Sitting next to it was a 289 Comp.Car. Both came back into the sunlight.

I have photos of CSX3243 in January of 2014 at the shop of an incredible Pebble Beach restoration mechanic and a dear friend.
Chuck Bail really did it right using Daytona Spyder’s, A/C Cobra’s and recording sounds with Parabolic mikes. There will never be another. Sold my Spyder and…”

    “@KD303
Thanks for chiming in. When a stand-out car like this one is sold, then disappears into a collection, or resold several times the “Freude Am Fahren” or in other words, the magic it possesses cannot be spread to another enthusiast –or more importantly — to the next generation who will (hopefully) and enthusiastically carry on. These are things that keep me awake at night.
Given the low mileage — hardly more than break-in miles — covered over the past nine years, I was…”

“I’m a Poncho guy and have owned many over the past decade. I presently have three, in my collection. 1960 was an oddity for the Pontiac division, it was in between the split grill of 59 and 61. It was also the first year of the eight lug wheels. That said, I remember my Dad and his buddies coming home from a fishing trip in a 1960 Bonneville coupe. The trunk was full of fish and ice. Look at the size of the trunk, you could only imagine, how many fish there were. Thanks for the memories and…”

    “Getting close now!
We told you about Bill’s event raising money for Special Olympics. It’s called All Italian Day and it’s October 11th this year (https://www.alfaromeoassociation.org/content.aspx?page_id=4091&club_id=233974&item_id=2902395).
For several years we designed the t-shirt for the event. One of the last years I did the design, I felt we had to honor Bill and this wonderful car.

I’ve wanted the right E46 M3 for a long time, and I’m excited this Laguna Seca Blue example will be joining my garage. It will be well cared for and enjoyed. Thanks again!”

I can find black touch up paint, it’s the alligator finish that’s difficult to achieve. Apparently it needs 100 years to set up.”

Transcon commented on Mid-Engine, Vortec-Powered 1970 Volkswagen Type 2 Bus

“I had one 50 years ago. Definitely fun and to say driving is a “vintage experience” doesn’t really cut it. It’s pretty much pre-war in feel, but with more power. You are exposed to the elements to about the same degree as a motorcycle with a windshield, and the chassis is the best British custom: suspension that allows you to drive over a dime and tell if it’s heads or tails, and tires with similar width to a current electric mountain bike.”

“In high school I drove a ’66 mustang with a 289 and a ’66 red convertible 6 cyl similar to this. I always really enjoyed the 6 cyl version. It was much easier to steer, and somehow felt more fun and nimble.
Still have the 289 (notchback, Ivy Green Metallic). It was my Mom’s car from new and has been lovingly taken care of. One day it will pass to my nephew.”
