“That Sport Top is an incredibly rare accessory. Not many were sold and few have survived in good condition. I’ve only seen one other intact one. The Model Prefix indicates it was built as a Utility trimmed Travel Top but somewhere along the line, the bulkhead and Sport Top were added. I wonder if it was the original owner. Interesting 800!”

“These Ford GT’s are so much fun to drive, I took mine out this morning and the experience is almost indescribable. I have other supercars as well but the Ford GT is by far the best. “Mezger engine block was literally built to be wailed on at redline for 24 hrs straight, it’s nearly impossible to destroy it, you have to be intentionally holding it past redline for probably 1 hr+.
Reminds me of the old cash for clunkers video where they emptied the oil pan on an 80 series landcruiser, put it in neutral, and floored it. It took like 20+ mins at past redline for the engine to give out with no lubrication.”

“I have and would drive any 200 cross country. Bring a couple spanners 10mm 13 mm pop into advance grab some coolant and oil, bring an extra thermostat and you should be good to go.
If coming west stay off 80 at night when rainy lol. 200’s are the best when on point.”

“I bought this car intending to enjoy driving it, and I did. I’ve owned this Viper since April 2000 and have kept it longer than any other car I’ve owned. It has spent its life just south of Houston. I’ve enjoyed it enormously over the past 26 years, including four driving schools and 5-6 autocross events. I’m selling it because I’m almost 70 and the Viper has become harder for me to get in and out of and to drive without pain (2 surgeries on the ball of my left foot). I hope its next owner…”
