I sprung for the Polestar engineered upgrade and extended range battery (up to 50 miles on a charge), as well as air suspension (that lowers the car about 3 inches when I click “Polestar Mode.” Just here to say that this drivetrain — super charger +turbo + electric motor + Polestar tuning is absolutely mad! “I kind of feel like the 997.2 Turbo S is a hidden menu item. So many people talk about 997.1 Turbos and 991.1 Turbos, but this remains akin to a secret for enthusiasts.
It has the smaller, more nimble feel of the 997 chassis coupled with the ferocity and traction of the PDK and AWD, and although these aren’t the Mezger engines they are stout.
This generation remains somewhat of a ‘if you know you know’ type of Porsche, and there is SO MUCH to absolutely love about it. GLWTA!”
