In the German state of Baden-Württemberg, on the northern edge of the city of Stuttgart, lies the borough of Zuffenhausen. Humans have lived here continuously for over 7,000 years, and 75 years ago, they began doing something very special: building Porsches. In this Icons of Zuffenhausen collection, Wob has assembled some of the best of the breed. Some are cars that defined the Porsche brand as we know it today, like a veteran 356 racer and a sublime ’73 Carrera RS. Others are cars that seek to stretch the definition of what a Porsche can be, like a one-off Spyder prototype racer, a hyper-exotic 918 Spyder, and a 992 GT3 R Rennsport—perhaps the ultimate track weapon. This is the second collection of incredible high-performance Porsches from Wob, and we’re very excited to see the cars start to go live this evening, Monday, September 29.

Amid rolling green pastureland west of Stuttgart rises a series of gleaming white blocks known to Porschephiles around the globe as the Weissach Development Centre. Since 1962, this has been the place where Porsche has refined their most legendary street and race cars, and pushed them to their limits. This holiday season, BaT power seller and Local Partner Wob is bringing us the Weissach Winter Wonderland Collection, a twelve-car group of Porsche’s finest bedecked in a wintry mix of colors.

The Porsche 911 has always been the exception to the rule of Resale Red. But then again, the 911—bug-eyed, rear-engined, and improbably configured as a 2+2—has long been the exception to nearly every sports car convention. Every generation manages to look good in almost any color we can perceive with our trichromatic rods and cones, and this is why the factory has been accommodating paint-to-sample requests since the 1960s. The program was formalized in the 1990s, and now offers an extended menu hundreds of colors deep. This latest collection from Wob consists of 16 991- and 992-generation cars finished in Paint-to-Sample schemes, many with additional options from the Special Wishes catalog.

The Bond Group and Road Scholars are back together to bring us Round 10 of their impressive, ongoing Gruppe P Collection. This time around, the headlining act is a Grand Prix White Porsche 959 Sport—the first of the 29 track-oriented Sport variants that were produced to be auctioned on Bring a Trailer. At the other end of the spectrum is an example of Porsche’s slowest vehicle—a rare narrow-track Junior 108S vineyard tractor. Four Slate Grey cars form a subset of the collection, each with extensive history and desirable specs, and other highlights include a 1600 Super Speedster, a 356B Emory Outlaw, and a low-mileage 993 C2S in silver over black.
