“This is my old car, and can only say it’s one the best cars I’ve ever owned. These cars were overengineered by Toyota and it shows. Every button, switch, etc all feel perfect. The car drives as smooth as butter. And if you know these SCs, the silver on black is very rare. Most are grandma tan inside. “I learned how to drive stick on my Dad’s ‘85.5 White 944 Turbo with phone dials. We loved that car.
That motor was so fun and always sounded so great.
It just about killed my pops when he sold it, but he was getting older and wanted something more comfy and lux and was getting hard for him to get in and out of easily.
That was 20 years ago now (wow!) and every time I fire up my GT4, I think about that car.
Beautiful 944. These cars are so fun and so special.”

Take note people, when you take it down to bare metal you’re doing a great job and less likely to have a chemical reaction from previous paint jobs. “Dean Batchelor and Phil Hill agreed that if one has only one Ferrari, make it a 330 GTC. It does everything so well. As said, not only does it NOT need power steering, leave off all options including AC and Borrani wire wheels on these cars. The AC in this era had an ugly compressor, was very heavy and not very effective. Borrani’s are certainly beautiful but along with the attaching hardware are much heavier than the race proven Campagnolo disc wheels with their P car style provenance.…”

This example appears to be a very untouched, original car with all the right period-correct parts, and a rare specification, leather interior, and factory A/C. It has a really nice patina, and a 1972 T in this kind of condition is becoming increasingly rare. These make fantastic driver’s cars.
