“I own a 1938 Flying Squirrel. The engine number is one digit away from this bike and the frame number is two digits away. When I contacted the Scott Club Registry to authenticate my bike I was advised that 220 Flying Squirrels were produced (500cc and 600cc versions combined) in 1938. The whereabouts of 101 were known. Of those, twenty had the redesigned detachable head as does this bike. GLWTS”

Married in 1965 and sold the Avanti get a car with a bench seat for our daughter’ s car seat. I have known where my original car is but have tried unsuccessfully for 30 years to buy it. “I will say this with great confidence. This coach is a unicorn. I can’t predict outcomes but I know from thousands of miles on the rv highway that this rig is the real deal. “Great to see such an excellent example of the car that reset the standard of what to expect from a small car. Not enough people understand how the Accord raised the bar for attractive design and basic equipment. The rustproofing material is most typical of any car sold in western Pennsylvania, where salt use and rust were commonplace… probably instrumental in keeping this car on the road and on your screen today. “I did the rear disc conversion on this truck many years ago. It was done using front hubs (bolt right on) and RRC /DI rear rotors and calipers. I never liked the way Land Rover cheaped out on the factory rear Salisbury disc setup by using the narrow drive flanges with short splines that strip out easily and short spindles with narrow spaced bearings… That’s why I used to do it this way, retaining the far better wide drive flanges and longer axle spline engagement, with wet splines.
