The service writer put “Aspen” on the repair order, so my grandfather asked him to correct it. Confused, the service guy walked over to his car and pointed at the “Aspen” badge on the side of the car. They walked around to the drivers side and were greeted by a “Volare” badge!   • BaT Auction Success Story: A Red TR4, Reconsidered You Should Know

    Today’s Success Story, from BaT user kwaz023, concerns the 1965 Triumph TR4 that he won from BaT-MaN in a December 2025 BaT auction:
    Much like purchasing our house over a decade ago, there were a lot of swings and misses as it related to my BaT experience. There were a handful of cars that I bid on; however, I always seemed to be outbid at the last minute. The only advice I could provide to those in a similar situation is: “persevere.”

    “I own a 1938 Flying Squirrel. The engine number is one digit away from this bike and the frame number is two digits away. When I contacted the Scott Club Registry to authenticate my bike I was advised that 220 Flying Squirrels were produced (500cc and 600cc versions combined) in 1938. The whereabouts of 101 were known. Of those, twenty had the redesigned detachable head as does this bike. GLWTS”

    What to Know About baT at the 2026 Woodward Dream Cruise

    Back in 1995, the late Ferndale resident Nelson House helped create what would become “North America’s largest one-day automotive event”—the Woodward Dream Cruise, a seemingly endless stream of American car culture parading along Motown’s legendary Woodward Avenue. A BaT crew will be there for this year’s happening, which will take place this coming Saturday, August 15.
