“I remember street racing one of these against my 93 Typhoon. My awd blew it off the line but after about 100 feet or so I was staring at his taillights the rest of the way. These cars are deceptively fast. Beautiful example that will be way out of my budget. GLWTA!”

“Wow! I wish I was 30 years younger. This is a very solid looking start to what would be a great car! It looks like lots and lots of cleaning and derusting lies ahead! I did a ’62 years ago that started out a lot worse than this and ended up stunning. For the adventurous (and young) this could be an awesome project! GLWTA”

“As a sidebar to this 250,000th auction listing, yesterday at the Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance, BaT Co-Founder Randy Nonnenberg, spoke at length for the entrants and attendees about the phenomenon that brought about what we are experiencing here — how it began and how it evolved. It’s a fascinating story of insight, risk and reward that’s about as “American” as anything can be.
On the field were a number of “BaT Auction” sales as well as sellers, commenters and attendees who read the…”

“Pontiac sure had some pretty cars in the Sixties. They’ve aged well too. Great to see two Pontiac B Bodies with three pedals on BaT in the same week… how unusual is that?
This car would have a circle of admirers at every Cars and Coffee you drove it to… elegant and much less common than the A Body cars of the era. Truly the “executives’ hot rod” especially with a four-speed.
    Wonderful car… :-)”

“My brother Doug, working with our aeronautical engineer father, the late James L. Amick, handcrafted this line in ’83 – ’84. It was a natural extension of the original Windmobile, featured on the cover of Popular Science in the 70s, which he created while just a teenager. The Windmobile was even more experimental: it was conceived as a sailing vehicle (originally on ice) and had no motors. To this end, it was fitted with two concentric steering wheels — one for normal steering, and a larger…”
