“Had this exact car, one of my favorite cars of all time. Nothing like a big sedan that runs like a hot rod. And these cars do. Not sure how they gear them or what is done to them. But this car is an amazing performance vehicle. I have a s65 now. But I actually liked the 63 more. Especially for just driving pleasure”

“I had a new Pinto and within a year I found a deal on a proto turbocharger set-up from a well-known Detroit area tuner. It was comparatively crude to this one without an intercooler and lots of lag. But once it spooled up, it was pretty impressive. I recall keeping pace with a 340 Duster in 2nd and 3rd gear which had the other driver wondering “WTF?!” But the tubing to the intake was a long way from the relocated carburetor and in cold weather it was really hard to start because that long…”

“When I was about 12 years old, my Mom’s cousin had one of these. He would load me, my brother, and two other younger cousins in the back with the jumper seats in the closed position. As he fishtailed down the road, the four of us would slide around on that metal flooring – back and forth, back and forth smashing into each other and the sides. Laughing all the way!!!!!!!! “I was a teenager HS student working at the corner service station. We had a local Dr that had one of these, his was the beautiful dark blue with matching padded top. He would pull in for gas, 27 gallon tank. After putting the car in “Park” he would tilt the wheel which would almost go horizontal on these and throw a small towel that covered the wheel from rim edge to edge. Gas up. Then………the fun would begin! Around to the car wash. Customers would be directed into the wash at the correct…”

“A bunch of years ago (well, decades ago), I bought a well-used but complete and drivable ’66 912 from a garage sale in Reseda, CA for the princely sum of $1000. I drove it the few blocks to my home. Going through the paperwork, I found the title, with Axl Rose’s name on it. Guns ‘n Roses’ Axl Rose.
So I washed it a bit, advertised it in The Recycler and flipped it for $2000. Felt like a genius.
