“When my Family was on a vacation in Hawaii back in 1977 we had the Ford version of this wagon finished in an emerald green. It was a tank of a car but did drive nicely and got us around Oahu in comfort. My parents owned a 1973 Ford Thunderbird with the same 460ci V8. I see some of the same or similar interior parts on this wagon as well. Very nice condition Colony Park Wagon for its age!

“What a nice old car, I love survivors – they are 10x harder to find than a restored example, and this one, in THE most desirable closed body style; a Club Sedan with the blind quarter panels, is fantastic ! “I love brown cars, probs because my mom’s car when I was a kid was a 1970 Tobacco Brown MB 250 base model. No A/C, but it did have a sunroof. I learned how to drive in that car by driving it across the USA when we moved from Cleveland to Colorado Springs in 1977 on a learner’s permit. CB radio keeping contact with my dad in the 1970 Ford Country Squire pulling the Argosy 26′ travel trailer. Memories baby, that’s what cars are.”

“New for me as well! “Scorpio” caught my eye – I had an ’89 Merkur Scorpio from new for several years and really liked it. But it had a V6 which I think was also used in the Bronco. In an amazing coincidence, a co-worked had a Merkur XR4Ti, so we had the rare parking lot that had two Merkurs in it. GLWTA”

It has always been my dream to own a Clive Cussler owned vehicle. As Mr. Cussler created my all-time fictional hero, in Dirk Pitt.
To this day, part of my automotive bucket list if I ever had lottery money, is a Cussler musuem collection vehicle. Right after a MB 540K and a Duesenberg SC cabriolet.
As a child growing up, I was a rabid James Bond fan, and had started scuba diving at 12, and become a member of the Cousteau Society the same year.

“Still my favorite of the Cobra-R models. I know the 2000 seems to be everyone’s top pick, but I like the trimmer lines of the first generation SN95 and the ease of the 351W. I guess this one has such low miles it would be a shame to drive it much, but I would drive it regardless.”

The color combination could not be better. The mechanicals are so pure and honest. The condition is fantastic. A true example of the automobile’s gold age, just before the heavy hands of polticians began to mess everything up. GLWTA.”

“My late friend Joe Sheppard competed against Fangio at Sebring in 57. Joe was driving a Lotus Eleven and won the under 1500 cc class. His co-driver was Lotus founder Colin Chapman. Joe said you could feel the 450S coming up to pass long before you could see it. I hope you have great success with your auction.”

“2005 was a big year for modern Mopar when the Daimler merger enabled the Hemi truck engine swap into a previous generation Mercedes RWD chassis. The Magnum was so unexpected in the industry it was classified as an SUV. I stalked my local dealers in order to take out the first 300C Hemi in town for an extended test drive. I don’t think anyone anticipated the decades of twists and turns in front of the basic package that surprisingly (to me) continued with strong sales to the point it busted…”

“This is an amazing survivor that has been lovingly cared for by the family. The pictures remind me of the pictures I have of my Mom and Dad in front of Dad’s late thirties Harley in their leather motorcycle jackets, over the calf motorcycle boots, and riding pants. They rode from Indiana to the west coast and to Florida a couple of times. A hardy pair.”

“@PWSchuh Great observation! This Ace has lived a full life on the track since 1964, and the current suspension reflects how it was dialed in for competition. It handled the turns at Lime Rock and the Hershey Hillclimb beautifully with this setup. While it’s a blast to drive on the street now, the new owner can always revert to a stock alignment. We wanted to show the car with the ‘soul’ of its racing history intact!”
