“I am the previous of this car and I knew the engineer that built the car. The builder was a very talented engineer and sadly he passed away. I knew the car and I bought it from his estate. The car is a blast to drive and I will miss it. The only reason I have for selling it is that I am getting old and I still have a bucket list of cars that I would like to own before it is too late. “My wife & I got married in July 1978. We packed her little red Chevette to the hilt with all of our wedding gifts and drove from Chicago to Houston with only gas stops along the way. “I worked for AMC/Renault during development of this vehicle. Renault engineers would trailer them out to MIS (where I worked) and we would run top speed over and over and over after component and tuning changes. I don’t recall the top speed. I do remember that they would huddle around and discuss the current results and then ask us to make a change – then they would look at me and say, ‘encore, s’il vous plait”. It was a dirty job but someone had to do it.”
