The first car I ever bought myself at 17 was a 1992 Black SHO, and my friend had a white 89. I’ve owned 5 of the Gen 2 cars since 2003 and I’ve been waiting to add the right SHO to my collection. “A perspective: I own a 911sc converted to an ev with a P100D motor in it. It’s the most fun car i’ve ever owned. I also have a beetle with a 60hp type 1 and that is also super fun. “I was fortunate enough to be able to watch Chuck Wray’s shop prepare a Bizzarrini for Pebble Beach, years ago- I think it was 2003. It came second in the Giugiaro class, which (of course) was judged by Giugiaro; best in class was a Ghibli, which he mentioned was his favorite of his designs. The level of meticulous work and knowledge at Chuck’s shop has to be seen to be believed. As Frank said, back then not many knew that these cars even existed. Nice to see them getting their propers.”

“Great looking e28 that has been dialed in the way all e28s should be dialed in, starting with euro bumpers and properly lowered suspension. 👏
You’d be hard pressed to find better wheels for an e28 than the 16″ BBS RX wheels.
The crack free dash is also a bonus, as is the top end motor refresh just a few thousand miles ago.
The Recaros alone are worth between two and five thousand dollars in case someone wanted to replace them with e28 sport seats.

“The 8C is one of my favorite cars ever. We do have a 4C in the stable and it is loads of fun, handles like it is attached to the road, and makes funny grunting noises….not a car to tour in though, unless your idea of a tour is to visit a local vineyard 8 miles away.
The 8C has noble bones and as a previous share stated, has easy access to critical parts.
Plus the car is just beautiful. Nobody knows how to predict valuations. I went all in on my 355’s and that has proven to be a lucky…”

“I had to chime in as this brought back memories. My dad had one with factory 4 speed and (at least) front disc brakes. Can’t remember the rears. Factory silver with a vinyl roof. That 4 speed was a LONG throw so it took a while to get there. A lot of axle hop. I always thought it would make a great sleeper hotrod with a bit of engine & suspension work. I had no idea how rare the factory options were. Who knew?”

“Always loved these. I am the person responsible for that front cover photo of Hemmings Muscle Machines. I was the editor of that magazine at the time. That Mopar issue was a ton of work, but satisfying. Beautiful example of when Chrysler actually built cars. Today, just the Pacifica.”

“Having an Arnage was on my bucket list for a very long time and after years trying to find a 2009 I was finally able to get one about 4-5 years ago. It was worth the wait. Most common issues are door panel fabric detachment, interior plastic scratching, exterior door window rubber degradation, and infotainment electronic glitches.
