My very first car was precisely this, but in tan and minus the Cragars. Served me well throughout college and for a cross-country drive to Southern California after college. Raced a Mazda RX-7 across approximately 100 miles of the desert Southwest, with my 10-speed bike strapped to the roof rack. “Lauterbach hulls are indeed special as is the family. Thanks for the heads up about the book and reunion. If there was a way to get to the event it sure would be fun.
Back in the 1970’s on Seattles Green Lake were some special times. We would sit on the beach with a battery operated B&W 2 inch TV screen watching Indy and at the same time enjoy the boat races.
