NSYNC star Lance Bass drops bittersweet fatherhood…

Lance Bass is getting candid about one of the most rewarding chapters of his life: being a father. The NSYNC star recently shared a bittersweet update about raising his four-year-old twins, Alexander and Violet, with husband Michael Turchin.

During the August 12 premiere party for Cocktail Wars in New York, Bass opened up about life with his children. While the singer is clearly enjoying every moment of fatherhood, he also admitted that watching his twins grow up comes with an emotional side.

Bass and Turchin welcomed their twins, Violet Betty and Alexander James, in October 2021 through a surrogate. The couple had previously faced years of challenges while trying to become parents, including a pregnancy loss, making the arrival of their children especially meaningful. (ABC News⁠)

Now, four years into parenthood, Bass appears to be embracing the chaos, joy and little milestones that come with raising two young children.

The singer has previously spoken about how quickly the early years of fatherhood pass. As Alexander and Violet become more independent, Bass is experiencing that familiar feeling many parents know well: wanting to see children grow while wishing they could stay little for just a little longer.

His latest comments also highlight the close bond he shares with his twins. Bass and Turchin have frequently given fans glimpses into their family life, from celebrating birthdays to sharing the personalities of their children.

When the twins were babies, Turchin described Violet as more strong-willed and outspoken, while Alexander was more relaxed and gentle. Bass, meanwhile, said the transition into parenthood had been easier than they expected and that the babies brought enormous happiness into their home. (People.com⁠)

    Pakistan has two fighters through to the finals of the GAMMA Asian MMA Championship 2026. Getting to the finals was not easy. Both Pakistani athletes had to get past tough opponents from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in earlier rounds. They did so by showing sharp technical skill, real determination, and a fighting spirit that stood out throughout the competition. Saqib will step into the Under-18 category final, where he will face a fighter from Kazakhstan. Jawad, meanwhile, has his own final lined up in the Under-16 category, also against a Kazakh opponent. This is not a new territory for Saqib, either. He already has an impressive résumé, having won gold at the GAMMA World MMA Championship back in 2024, along with several other international successes representing Pakistan. Their progress has not gone unnoticed back home. Zulfiqar Ali, who heads the Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation, spoke highly of both fighters following their wins. He said the federation feels genuine pride in watching these young athletes compete, and he extended that praise to their coaches and the broader national team as well. According to Ali, both Saqib and Jawad have represented Pakistan with serious dedication. He pointed to their training and mental toughness as key reasons for their success so far in the tournament. He didn’t stop there, either. Ali went on to wish both fighters well ahead of their upcoming final bouts, saying the whole country would be cheering them on. He added that he expects both athletes to carry the same energy and focus into their finals that got them this far. Ali said he is confident they will continue performing at a high level, and that a strong showing could mean even more glory for Pakistan on the international stage.

    Balochistan becomes regular police area after Levi…

    QUETTA: The Balochistan cabinet has approved several major measures aimed at improving security, governance, education and public services across the province. One of the key decisions was to declare the entire province a regular police area following the integration of the Levies Force into the police system. The decisions were taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Wednesday. The meeting reviewed several matters linked to law and order, development, administrative reforms and public welfare. The cabinet also approved the third phase of the Chief Minister Scholarship Programme. Under the programme, 300 children of registered workers from Balochistan will receive admission to a quality boarding school in Islamabad. The initiative aims to provide better educational opportunities to children of workers and help them build stronger prospects for the future. The cabinet approved the appointment of Superintendent of Police Nabeel Ahmed as chief operating officer of the Balochistan Safe City Authority. It also approved the establishment of a Provincial Parole Board on the recommendation of the Home Department. A new police station was approved for Hub Marble City. The move is aimed at improving security in the growing industrial and commercial area. The cabinet also approved a Service Level Agreement for the Quetta Safe City Project. The project will support the expansion of modern surveillance systems and technology-based policing in the provincial capital. Several decisions were also taken to strengthen local government institutions. Union Council Mesi Zai and Union Council Mai Zai were upgraded to municipal committees. The cabinet also approved a new Municipal Committee in Gulistan. The measures are intended to improve administrative services and strengthen local governance. For improved planning of development schemes, the cabinet approved the Balochistan Planning Manual. The meeting also endorsed the Balochistan Child Protection Rules 2026. The rules are aimed at strengthening safeguards for children and improving their welfare across the province. The cabinet approved amendments to the Balochistan Cadet Colleges Act 2026. It also extended the contract of the prosecutor general for another two years. Another major decision involved approval of the Balochistan Hybrid Weighted Procurement Policy 2026. The policy is intended to improve transparency and efficiency in government procurement. The cabinet also approved a financing proposal for the Harnai-Sibi Road Project. Other decisions included approval of the Gwadar Development Authority Service Rules 2024 and the creation of a new tehsil and subdivision in Nasirabad district. Officials said the administrative changes would help improve public service delivery and make development planning more effective. The meeting began with prayers for security personnel and civilians who lost their lives in recent incidents. Cabinet members paid tribute to those who died and expressed sympathy with their families. Speaking at the meeting, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said his government was focused on improving law and order across Balochistan.

    Rabya Kulsoom demands action over leaked drama footage

In a social media post, the actor urged production houses and television channels to introduce stricter rules to prevent unauthorised recordings from reaching the public. She said repeated leaks could create problems for actors, directors, writers and other members of a production team. According to her, sharing sensitive set material without permission can affect both the privacy of those involved and the impact of an upcoming storyline. Actor Usman Javed, who is also part of Zanjeerain, criticised the leak and questioned how the footage was obtained. He called on those responsible to stop sharing unauthorised material, saying such actions undermine the efforts of the entire cast and crew.     Israeli settler charged for Palestinian activist?…

    Israeli State prosecutors have officially filed charges against a Jewish settler following the shooting of a well-known Palestinian community leader. The rare legal action marks the first time since October 2023 that an Israeli civilian has been indicted over the death of a Palestinian in the region. The formal charge sheet, submitted to an Israeli district court by the State Attorney’s Office, accuses Yinon Levi, a resident of the southern West Bank, of reckless manslaughter in connection with the July 2025 death of Awdah Hathaleen (also spelled Owdeh Hathaleen). In addition to manslaughter, Levi faces charges of armed trespassing and intentional property destruction. The Fatal Confrontation in Umm al-Khair The indictment stems from a violent confrontation in July 2025 in the Bedouin village of Umm al-Khair, located in the Masafer Yatta region of the southern West Bank. According to investigators and witnesses, a group of Israeli settlers arrived in the village accompanied by heavy machinery, including an excavator, attempting to clear land to establish an unauthorized outpost. The deliberate clearance operations triggered immediate protest from local residents. Among those documenting the encounter was Awdah Hathaleen, a 31-year-old English teacher, community advocate, and father of three. Hathaleen was widely recognized for his peaceful activism, having hosted foreign diplomats and human rights groups at his home, and for contributing to the 2025 Academy Award-winning documentary No Other Land, which chronicled the displacement of Palestinian communities in the region. Video evidence compiled during the incident proved central to the investigation. Key footage—including recordings captured on Hathaleen’s own phone right up to the moment he was shot—showed Levi raising a handgun and firing into a group of unarmed Palestinians. Hathaleen can be heard groaning in pain as he collapsed from a fatal gunshot wound. Independent spatial analyses and forensic investigations later concluded that the bullet matched Levi’s firearm and confirmed that no Palestinians present were carrying weapons. While Levi previously denied firing the lethal shot, his legal counsel characterized the prosecution’s choice to indict as a “mistaken decision” and stated that the defense team intends to challenge the allegations in court. A Rare Exception to a Pattern of Impunity The indictment comes against a backdrop of rising tensions and violence across the West Bank. Human rights groups emphasize that formal charges against Israeli settlers are exceedingly rare. According to figures compiled by the Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem, Israeli security forces and settlers have killed over 1,100 Palestinians—including more than 240 children—in the West Bank since October 2023. Responding to the court filing, B’Tselem described the indictment as “the exception that proves the rule,” asserting that systemic impunity for settler violence remains a pervasive issue. Meanwhile, United Nations records indicate that incidents involving settler violence have continued to climb, averaging nearly 190 incidents per month in 2026. Levi had previously been placed under financial sanctions by the United Kingdom and the European Union for his alleged involvement in violence against Palestinian civilians, though similar United States sanctions were lifted following changes in Washington’s administration.   While Israeli authorities state that military and civilian law enforcement actively investigate crimes and enforce order, international bodies and rights observers continue to call for comprehensive accountability and an end to land seizures throughout the occupied territories.
