Natasha Hussain reveals Humayun Saeed is still her celebrity crush

Former Pakistani model and actress Natasha Hussain has revealed that actor and producer Humayun Saeed continues to hold a special place on her celebrity-crush list. The actress made the admission during a recent appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me, where she spoke openly about her admiration for the popular Pakistani star.

During the conversation, Natasha was asked about her celebrity crush and did not hesitate to name Humayun Saeed. She described herself as a huge fan of the actor and admitted that her admiration for him has remained unchanged over the years.

Natasha recalled an occasion when she had the opportunity to meet Humayun in person while he was visiting a friend’s home during a shoot. The encounter left a strong impression on her, particularly because of the way the actor interacted with everyone present.

According to Natasha, she and her friends were excited to see Humayun but initially felt hesitant about approaching him. They were unsure how he might respond to requests for photographs and wondered whether his status as a major celebrity would make him less approachable.

She explained that the group had expected he might have a somewhat reserved or distant personality and could possibly refuse to take selfies with them. However, their concerns quickly disappeared once they interacted with him.

Natasha said she eventually decided to approach Humayun herself and ask for a selfie. Her decision was influenced not only by her admiration for him but also by how handsome she thought he looked at the time.

To her delight, Humayun agreed to the selfie without hesitation. Natasha described his response as generous and said the actor warmly welcomed her when she approached him.

The actress also recalled how her friends were eager to take pictures with the star. Rather than behaving like someone uncomfortable with fans, Humayun reportedly remained friendly and approachable throughout their interaction.

For Natasha, the meeting proved different from what she and her friends had initially expected. Instead of displaying a distant attitude, Humayun made the gathering comfortable and happily posed for photographs.

Her comments offered a glimpse into the actress’s long-standing admiration for the Mere Paas Tum Ho star. While celebrity crushes are often discussed casually, Natasha’s story showed that meeting a favourite celebrity in person can make the experience even more memorable.

Humayun Saeed has remained one of Pakistan’s most recognisable entertainment personalities, with a career spanning acting and film production. His popularity has continued to grow through television dramas and major film projects, making him a familiar name among audiences in Pakistan and beyond.

Natasha’s candid confession has added a light-hearted moment to her podcast appearance, particularly because she openly admitted that Humayun remains her celebrity crush despite having met him personally.

Her experience also highlighted a quality she clearly appreciates in him: his friendly and respectful behaviour toward fans. Rather than allowing his celebrity status to create distance, Humayun’s willingness to interact warmly and take pictures left Natasha with an even more positive impression of the actor she has admired for years.

Salman Akram Raja denies PTI link to man killed in…

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has denied any known connection between the party and the man who was killed during a security incident in Rawalpindi, saying the party does not know which group the deceased belonged to or what actions he may have been involved in. Speaking about the incident, Raja said PTI was a peaceful political party and strongly opposed terrorism. He stressed that the party had never had any connection with terrorist activity and was pursuing its political struggle within the framework of the Constitution and law. “We do not know which group the man who was killed in Rawalpindi belonged to or what his actions were,” Raja said, according to reports. His comments came after a man was killed following an incident involving gunfire at security personnel on Mall Road in Rawalpindi. Police said a suspect opened fire on security forces, injuring a member of a patrol team before the suspect was killed. The incident has sparked a political dispute over the identity and political affiliation of the deceased. PTI leader Shafi Jan separately claimed that the man killed on Mall Road was a PTI worker. The claim contrasts with Raja’s statement that he did not know which group the deceased belonged to. The differing statements have added to questions surrounding the man’s identity and alleged activities. Raja also rejected any suggestion that PTI was involved in violent activity, saying the party was committed to pursuing its political objectives through constitutional and legal means. On the possibility of negotiations with the government, the PTI secretary general said there was currently no government offer on the table. However, he maintained that the party had never rejected negotiations on principle. Raja was also questioned about PTI Senator Shumail Yousafzai. He explained that she had not been removed from the party because the leadership did not want to create further divisions within PTI. He claimed that Yousafzai was not acting alone and had a group of people supporting her. Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi incident has become part of a broader political debate over security, terrorism and the role of political parties in Pakistan. Government officials and opposition figures have offered sharply different interpretations of PTI’s political conduct. The conflicting claims regarding the deceased man’s affiliation are likely to keep the issue in the spotlight as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the Rawalpindi shooting and determine the identity and background of the person who was killed.

Mohammad Amir blames workload for Shaheen Afridi’s struggles

Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir believes Shaheen Shah Afridi’s recent decline in form is largely the result of poor workload management, arguing that the left-arm pacer was overburdened during the early years of his international career. Amir made the remarks after Shaheen was left out of Pakistan’s Test squad for the ongoing series against the West Indies, a decision that has sparked fresh debate over the fast bowler’s form, fitness, and future in the longest format of the game. Shaheen was once considered Pakistan’s premier fast bowler across all three formats, but his performances in Test cricket have dipped since returning from a serious knee injury in 2023. Although he remains a key figure in Pakistan’s white-ball plans, his red-ball performances have raised concerns among former players and cricket experts. Since making his comeback, Shaheen has taken 27 wickets in 16 Test innings at an average of 40.11, with a strike rate of 67.6. His performances during Pakistan’s 2-0 home Test series defeat to Bangladesh also came under criticism, particularly because of a noticeable drop in bowling speed. The left-arm pacer, who previously relied on consistently high pace, was often clocked in the mid-120 km/h range during the series. Speaking on The Scoop by Wisden, Amir said he had predicted such challenges years ago, warning that excessive cricket without proper workload management could eventually take a toll on Shaheen’s body and performance. According to Amir, fast bowlers require careful planning throughout their careers, especially when they are expected to play regularly across all formats. He said failing to manage a pacer’s workload can affect pace, rhythm, consistency, and overall fitness over time. Amir recalled giving an interview in either 2020 or 2021 in which he expressed concern about the amount of cricket Shaheen was playing. Drawing from his own experience as a fast bowler, Amir said he warned that continuous cricket without adequate rest would eventually lead to physical and performance-related struggles. He added that the warning appears to have become reality, as Shaheen is now facing issues with pace, consistency, and fitness despite still being relatively young. Amir stressed that a player of Shaheen’s age should ideally be at the peak of his career, but the current situation suggests that something has gone wrong in his development. He maintained that poor workload management remains the biggest factor behind the left-arm pacer’s struggles. The statistics support Amir’s concerns about Shaheen’s workload before his injury. Between making his international debut and suffering a knee injury in July 2022, Shaheen bowled 809.4 overs in Test cricket, more than any other Pakistan bowler during that period. Former leg-spinner Yasir Shah ranked second with 606.2 overs, while Hasan Ali was the next-highest fast bowler with 427.3 overs. The figures highlight the significant responsibility placed on Shaheen as the leader of Pakistan’s pace attack, with many now questioning whether better workload management could have helped preserve his fitness and long-term effectiveness.

Sindh Cabinet approves toll tax for heavy commerci…

The Sindh provincial cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, has approved the imposition of a toll tax on heavy commercial vehicles using the Mehran Highway. The decision was made during a cabinet meeting as part of the provincial government’s broader strategy to establish a sustainable financial system for the maintenance and development of road infrastructure across Sindh. According to the cabinet’s decision, the toll tax will apply exclusively to heavy and commercial vehicles traveling on the 135-kilometer-long Mehran Highway. Private passenger vehicles will not be subject to the new toll under the current policy. Officials stated that commercial transport vehicles place greater pressure on road infrastructure due to their size and weight, making it appropriate for them to contribute to the highway’s maintenance through toll payments. During the meeting, cabinet members received a detailed briefing on the ongoing development of the Mehran Highway. Officials informed the cabinet that the project to expand the highway into a dual carriageway is currently underway at an estimated cost of Rs41 billion. The project is intended to improve road safety, increase transportation efficiency, reduce travel time, and accommodate the growing volume of traffic, particularly heavy commercial vehicles that regularly use the route for the movement of goods. The briefing also highlighted the expected financial benefits of the toll collection system. It was estimated that the toll tax would generate approximately Rs2.14 billion in annual gross revenue. After deducting operational and administrative expenses associated with collecting the toll, the government expects a net annual income of around Rs1.48 billion. These funds are intended to support the regular maintenance, repair, and future upgrading of the highway, ensuring that it remains in good condition for years to come. The cabinet further approved a schedule of toll charges based on different categories of vehicles. Under this system, toll rates will vary according to the type, size, and classification of each vehicle. Heavy trucks, trailers, buses, and other commercial transport vehicles will be charged according to predetermined rates. Officials explained that this category-based approach is designed to make the toll system fair and proportionate, with larger vehicles contributing more because of the greater wear and tear they cause to road infrastructure. In another significant administrative decision, the Sindh cabinet approved the restoration of the traditional name of the provincial department responsible for road construction and public infrastructure. The department, which had previously been renamed the Works and Services Department will once again be known as the Communication and Works Department. The government stated that the name change is intended to align Sindh’s administrative structure with that of the federal government and other provinces, where the department is commonly known by the same title. Speaking after the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah emphasized that the Sindh government is committed to introducing a self-sustaining financial model for the long-term maintenance of highways and road networks. He said that relying solely on government budget allocations is not sufficient to meet the increasing costs of maintaining modern transportation jobs infrastructure. According to him, the introduction of toll collection on major highways will provide a stable source of revenue that can be reinvested directly into road maintenance and improvement projects. The Chief Minister added that better roads are essential for economic growth, trade, and public safety. By ensuring a reliable funding mechanism for highway upkeep, the government aims to enhance transportation services, reduce infrastructure deterioration, and improve connectivity throughout the province. The approval of the toll tax and the continuation of the Mehran Highway expansion project represent important steps toward achieving these long-term development objectives while promoting a more efficient and financially sustainable road network in Sindh.

Brooke Nader and Taron Egerton call it quits after…

Model Brooke Nader and actor Taron Egerton have reportedly ended their relationship after dating for around four months. The pair, who first sparked romance rumors in March, have decided to go their separate ways, with sources saying the split was amicable and without any major drama. According to Us Weekly, an insider confirmed on Monday that it was Nader who chose to end the relationship. “Their relationship was casual, but Brooke ended things with him,” the source told the publication. The insider added that there are no hard feelings between the two, suggesting the romance simply ran its course. Nader, 29, and Egerton, 36, were first linked earlier this year after they were spotted spending time together in public. Their romance quickly attracted attention from fans, as both stars had recently entered new chapters in their personal lives. Although they never publicly discussed their relationship in detail, they were seen together on several occasions, fueling speculation that their connection was becoming more serious. Despite the growing interest, the couple largely kept their romance away from the spotlight. Unlike many celebrity pairs who frequently share their relationships on social media, Nader and Egerton preferred to maintain a low profile. Their decision to keep things private made the reported breakup all the more surprising for fans who had been following their relationship. Sources close to the former couple say their romance was always relaxed rather than deeply committed. While they enjoyed spending time together, they were reportedly focused on their individual careers and busy schedules. Those close to them insist the breakup was not caused by a major disagreement or betrayal but was simply the result of realizing they were better off moving in different directions. Nader has continued to make headlines with her successful modeling career, fashion appearances and growing influence in the entertainment industry. Egerton, meanwhile, remains busy with several acting projects following acclaimed performances in films such as Rocketman, Tetris and the Netflix thriller Carry-On. Both stars have demanding professional commitments that often require extensive travel and long filming schedules. Neither Nader nor Egerton has publicly commented on the reported split. As is often the case with celebrity relationships, both appear to be focusing on their careers rather than discussing their personal lives. Although their romance lasted only a few months, fans appreciated seeing the pair together and wished them well. For now, the two are said to have parted on good terms, bringing a quiet end to what insiders describe as a casual but enjoyable relationship. With both stars continuing to thrive professionally, attention is now turning to their upcoming projects and what lies ahead in their personal lives.
