Takhian Tia Mayor Joins Elderly Club Activities, Opens Health Promotion Project and Dharma Initiative
TAKHIAN TIA, Thailand – On July 24th, 2026, Mr. Mitchai Prakoptham, Mayor of Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality, presided over the opening of the Elderly Health Promotion Project for fiscal year 2026. He also participated in the monthly activities of the Takhian Tia Subdistrict Elderly Club and extended birthday wishes to members born in July.
This is to promote physical and mental well-being while enhancing the quality of life for older residents, enabling them to live happily and with dignity as valued members of society.

Municipal executives joined the event in full, including Deputy Mayors Mr. Wachira Suchoe and Mr. Kwanyuen Prakoptham, Secretary to the Mayor Mr. Sawet Charoenkhlang, municipal council members, heads of government agencies, and staff from the Public Health and Environment Division. They welcomed participants and engaged closely with elderly club members in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Dr. Malinee Singhasuwich, a member of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization Council, also attended. The municipality’s Public Health and Environment Division partnered with the Central and Eastern Region Panyawutthi team and the Panyawutthi Foundation to organize a “Distributing Dharma Sounds” activity. A respected monk delivered an accessible Dharma talk on principles that can be applied in daily life, helping participants cultivate mindfulness, wisdom, and inner peace.

Additionally, Mr. Charan Prakoptham, Chairman of the Mayor’s Advisory Board, and Dr. Supaporn Prakoptham offered encouragement and expressed continued support for improving the quality of life of elderly residents. Municipal leaders then joined in birthday celebrations for July-born members, creating smiles, lasting impressions, and a sense of warmth that reflected the community’s care, concern, and strong bonds.
Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality remains committed to advancing the quality of life for residents of all ages, with particular focus on the elderly through programs that support physical health, mental well-being, and social participation. The goal is to ensure older adults can live with dignity, happiness, and as an important source of strength for the community.
