Abu Dhabi offers free three-month visas to Indian tourists

Abu Dhabi has introduced a special visa-fee waiver for eligible Indian tourists as part of efforts to boost tourism in the United Arab Emirates.

Under the initiative, selected Indian travellers will receive a waiver of the full UAE entry visa fee. The offer is available from August 1 to October 31, 2026, during a pilot programme that will cover up to 20,000 eligible travellers.

To qualify, Indian passport holders must book a travel package from India to Abu Dhabi. The package must include a stay of at least three consecutive nights at a hotel in Abu Dhabi and a return flight.

The booking must also be made through a participating travel partner or an online travel agency. Travellers cannot apply for the free visa independently or directly.

The visa-fee waiver will only be available to passengers who meet the specified conditions and book their trip through the designated travel channels.

The three-month initiative is designed to attract more Indian visitors to Abu Dhabi and increase tourism activity during the late summer and early autumn period.

Although the visa fee will be waived, travellers will generally remain responsible for the cost of flights, accommodation and other travel expenses, unless additional discounts are included in their selected package.

The initiative is part of Abu Dhabi’s broader efforts to introduce attractive tourism offers and strengthen visitor numbers.

The UAE has been seeking to support its tourism sector amid regional tensions and their impact on travel patterns. Authorities are introducing promotional packages and other incentives to maintain tourism activity and attract visitors from key international markets.

Holly Willoughby laughs off daughter’s YouTube tease

Television presenter Holly Willoughby has admitted she is still learning the ropes of YouTube after launching her new digital series Together, revealing that her teenage daughter laughed at her attempts to sound like an experienced content creator. The former This Morning host recently premiered the first episode of her YouTube show, which features celebrity conversations in a relaxed setting. Actor Stanley Tucci, known for The Devil Wears Prada, appeared as the programme’s first guest. The launch has also drawn comparisons between Willoughby’s new venture and Meghan Markle’s lifestyle-style content. Speaking on Sara Cox’s Radio 2 Breakfast Show, the 45-year-old presenter described the release of the series as an emotional milestone. “Today is launch day, this is like I’m giving birth today!” Holly said, adding that moving away from traditional television to a digital platform still feels unfamiliar. She admitted that stepping into the world of YouTube has been a completely new experience after spending decades working in broadcast television. During the conversation, Sara Cox jokingly asked whether Holly’s children were annoyed that she had entered a platform usually associated with younger audiences. Laughing, Holly recalled her daughter Belle’s reaction while filming promotional messages encouraging viewers to subscribe. “My daughter was laughing at me as I was saying ‘subscribe and ding the bell and you’ll get notifications.’” She revealed that Belle quickly pointed out how unfamiliar she sounded with YouTube culture. “She was like, ‘mum, you really don’t know what you’re talking about,’ and I’m like, ‘no I don’t but I’m learning!’” Holly said. The presenter admitted that adapting to digital content creation has taken her outside her comfort zone, particularly after building her career through conventional television formats. Unlike her previous programmes, Together is designed specifically for YouTube, allowing Holly to have longer and more informal conversations with well-known personalities. The show’s debut episode featured actor and food enthusiast Stanley Tucci, whose appearance helped launch the series. Since its release, viewers have discussed the programme online, with some drawing comparisons between Holly’s approach and Meghan Markle’s recent lifestyle projects. According to the report, Together is produced by Hungry Bear Media, the production company owned by Holly’s husband, Dan Baldwin. The company has produced several successful British entertainment programmes and is now backing Holly’s latest move into digital media. Although she acknowledged that she is still adjusting to YouTube’s style and audience expectations, Holly appeared enthusiastic about embracing the new challenge. Her comments suggested that she is willing to learn from younger viewers—including her own children—as she builds a presence on the platform. The presenter has received support from many fans following her honest remarks, with viewers praising her willingness to laugh at herself while trying something new. Rather than pretending to know everything about the digital world, Holly openly admitted she is still figuring it out, a response many found both relatable and refreshing.

Forensic report reveals new findings in Mir Raza c…

KARACHI: The forensic examination of a shirt belonging to Karachi youth Mir Raza has been completed. The report has been received by the police and is now being examined as part of the investigation. According to investigative sources, traces of hydrochloric acid were reportedly detected on the shirt during the chemical analysis. The sources also said that substances associated with a sedative were found in a blood sample taken from Mir Raza. The chemical examination was conducted to determine whether the shirt contained any material that could help investigators understand the circumstances surrounding the incident. The findings are expected to be considered along with other forensic evidence collected during the investigation. Investigators also reported the presence of gunshot residue (GSR) on the waist area of Mir Raza’s shirt. Sources said the concentration of GSR was higher around the waist section. They said this finding could provide investigators with important information about the direction and circumstances of the shooting. However, the forensic findings are expected to be assessed alongside other evidence before investigators reach any final conclusion. Police are also examining other aspects of the case to establish what happened. Meanwhile, further shortcomings in the investigation have reportedly emerged. Investigative officials said several important steps had not been completed despite days having passed since the incident. According to officials, geofencing of the crime scene has not yet been carried out. Geofencing could help investigators identify mobile devices that were present in or around the area at the relevant time. Officials also said that Mir Raza’s mobile phone data had not been obtained. The phone record could potentially help investigators establish his movements and identify contacts or activities around the time of the incident. Another issue raised by investigators concerns Mir Raza’s smartwatch. Officials said its forensic examination had also not been conducted. Such devices can sometimes contain information about movement, activity and other data that may assist an investigation. The latest findings have added new elements to the case. Investigators are now expected to examine the forensic report along with other available evidence. The police are also facing questions over why some investigative procedures were not carried out earlier. The family has previously called for a thorough investigation and answers about what happened to Mir Raza.

Kelly Clarkson gets candid about her single life

Kelly Clarkson is thriving on her own, and she made sure her Las Vegas audience knew it. During her residency at Caesars Palace on Friday, the Grammy-winning singer turned a moment of audience banter into one of the most relatable and widely shared comments of her recent public appearances, delivering a set of honest and very funny observations about single life that quickly resonated online. Addressing the question that people apparently keep asking her, Clarkson went straight to the point. “People are like, ‘Oh, why are you single?’ And I’m like, ‘First of all, there are a lot of people out here making single look real good,’” she joked to the crowd. She did not stop there. “And if you didn’t really understand what I meant by that, it’s like you see relationships and you’re like, ‘I am so glad I’m going home alone.’” The audience reportedly laughed along with a recognition that needed no further explanation. She followed that with one more line that landed particularly well. “You know what’s not happening in my house?” she said before adding: “That s–t.” But Clarkson also shifted tone to deliver something more sincere beneath the comedy. She acknowledged that long-term relationships, when they do work, require sustained and conscious effort from both people involved. “If you are in a relationship, the hardest part is just keeping that fire alive and still dating,” she said. “And like still making it feel magical and not monotonous.” It was a moment that balanced her comedic instincts with a genuine insight about why relationships are hard, and why being honest about that matters more than performing contentment. Clarkson has kept her personal life largely private since her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two children. Since finalising the separation, she has channelled her energy into her music, her long-running talk show and her parenting, rarely speaking at length about romance or the prospect of a new relationship. Her Las Vegas residency has given her a different kind of platform, one that is intimate, live and visibly free of the usual formalities that shape media appearances. In that setting, she has clearly felt comfortable speaking with the kind of unfiltered candour that her fanbase has always responded to. The comments from Friday’s show spread quickly online, with many fans describing the moment as the most relatable thing they had heard in months. For Clarkson, it appears that choosing herself is not a consolation. It is the plan.

US issuing final opportunity for nuclear agreement with Tehran before extreme military action

US President Donald Trump has issued a final ultimatum to Iran, stating that Tehran has one last opportunity to negotiate a diplomatic resolution with Washington before facing severe military force, which he referred to as decapitation. Speaking from the Oval Office, the American leader confirmed he had paused planned air strikes following direct requests from Persian Gulf nations, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, who urged Washington to allow diplomacy one final window. The framework for the proposed negotiations relies on a two-stage approach, with the initial phase requiring the immediate and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping. The subsequent phase will address the complete denuclearisation of Iran, referencing commitments previously outlined in a joint memorandum signed in June. Trump further dismissed any personal domestic political considerations regarding the timeline, emphasising that his decision to delay military action was driven by a desire to prevent widespread loss of life while pursuing a durable diplomatic outcome.
