In people with darker skin tones the cancer may appear as a pigmented or darker colored spot. Experts say any new mole spot sore or skin change that does not heal should never be ignored. Early diagnosis and treatment greatly improve the chances of successful treatment and can help prevent the cancer from becoming more serious.

  • China tests giant fusion magnet

    China has successfully tested the world’s largest fusion magnet weighing 582 tons marking a major step toward developing an “artificial sun.” The technology aims to produce clean safe and nearly unlimited energy through nuclear fusion in the future. The giant D-shaped superconducting magnet was developed by the Institute of Plasma Physics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is designed to control extremely hot plasma using powerful magnetic fields which is one of the most important parts of the nuclear fusion process. The magnet measures 21 meters long and 12 meters wide and has been built for the world’s largest fusion reactor. Reports say it is about 1.3 times larger than a similar magnet used in an international fusion project and can store three times more energy. It is capable of containing plasma at temperatures of up to 100 million degrees Celsius allowing scientists to recreate the same fusion process that powers the Sun. Chinese officials said most of the materials and manufacturing were completed within China reducing the country’s reliance on foreign technology and supplies. China hopes to generate electricity from fusion energy by around 2030. Scientists say an “artificial sun” is a nuclear fusion reactor that copies the natural process used by the Sun to produce energy. If successful this technology could provide the world with a reliable source of clean and almost unlimited electricity in the future.

According to reports the new feature is currently available for creators who are part of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). They can now choose and upload their own thumbnail images instead of relying on a frame from the video. This update gives creators more control over how their Shorts appear. They can design eye catching thumbnails that match their brand and make their videos more attractive to viewers. YouTube said custom thumbnails have been one of the platform’s most requested features. The company is rolling it out first to Partner Program members and plans to expand access to more creators in the future. Previously Shorts creators could only select a still frame from the video as the thumbnail making it harder to create a consistent look or build a strong brand identity. The new feature aims to solve that problem and improve the overall presentation of Shorts.

According to experts, once the low fuel warning light turns on, the vehicle cannot travel very far. The good news, however, is that it can usually go farther than many people expect. Experts say the warning light typically comes on when the fuel tank has around 10 to 15 percent of its capacity remaining. On average, small cars can travel about 20 to 30 miles (32–48 km) after the light comes on while larger vehicles may cover up to 50 miles (80 km). However, if the vehicle is old or the road conditions are poor, the remaining driving range may be significantly shorter. Cold weather can also increase fuel consumption reducing the distance the car can travel after the warning light appears. Experts further caution that continuing to drive for an extended period after the low fuel light comes on may damage the engine although driving a few additional miles is generally unlikely to cause any harm.
