I am writing to inform you that, due to the lack of electricity, we are facing many problems in our area. Without electricity, we cannot use fans, lights, the internet, or many other essential facilities. Nowadays, almost everything depends on electricity. Many poor families cannot afford solar panels because they do not have enough money or stable jobs. They also cannot afford appliances such as refrigerators. As a result, many people suffer from extreme heat, and some even become unconscious because of the high temperatures. We are facing many difficulties due to the electricity shortage. Refrigerators, lights, fans, and many modern devices all depend on electricity. Therefore, I request the government and WAPDA to ensure a proper and regular supply of electricity. Reliable electricity is very important for people’s daily lives, education, health, and work. I hope my request will be considered, and the electricity problem in our area will be resolved as soon as possible.

In contrast, the plays attributed to him demonstrate an extraordinary mastery of complex subjects. They reveal intimate familiarity with international geography, continental languages, high-stakes royal politics, aristocratic court etiquette, and intricate legal doctrines. In an era before public libraries and widespread travel, skeptic scholars often called Anti-Stratfordians question how a man with limited schooling and exposure to foreign cultures could possess such erudition. This discrepancy has led many to speculate that the real Shakespeare acted primarily as a public frontman. As an actor and shareholder in the Lord Chamberlain’s Men, Shakespeare was well-positioned in London’s theatrical community. High-born courtiers or politically vulnerable figures who wished to write plays may have utilized Shakespeare’s name to publish their works safely. The Leading Candidates Over years, prominent figures from Tudor and Jacobean society have emerged as alternatives for the true authorship. Sir Francis Bacon: A brilliant philosopher, statesman, and pioneer of the scientific method. Bacon possessed the intellectual rigor and courtly insight required to craft the plays. Proponents argue that he’s Lord Chancellor and a government insider. So, Bacon couldn’t openly associate with public theater. It would’ve definitely ruined his political standing and risking royal disapproval. Edward de Vere, Earl of Oxford: Educated at Cambridge, well-traveled throughout Europe, and a celebrated poet in his own right, de Vere fits the profile of an elite playwright. However, a major hurdle for the Oxfordian theory is that de Vere passed away in 1604 several years before iconic plays like The Tempest and Macbeth were produced. Christopher Marlowe: Perhaps the most dramatic theory involves Shakespeare’s contemporary, Christopher Marlowe. A gifted Cambridge graduate and spy for the Tudor government, Marlowe officially died in a tavern brawl in 1593. Skeptics suggest he faked his death to escape charges of heresy and treason, subsequently continuing to write under the pen name William Shakespeare. Notably, the first publications under Shakespeare’s name appeared just weeks after Marlowe’s reported demise. Was the Genius a Woman? The authorship debate extends beyond male nobles to include extraordinary women of the Elizabethan court. Shakespeare’s plays are remarkable for their nuanced, highly capable female characters who defy traditional stereotypes of the era. Two prominent women are frequently cited in authorship theories. Mary Sidney, Countess of Pembroke: An accomplished writer, classical scholar, and major patron of the arts, Sidney hosted a renowned literary salon and authored closet dramas meant for private performance. Emilia Bassano: Born to a family of Venetian court musicians believed to have Jewish heritage, Bassano possessed both international ties and formal education. Her background offers a compelling explanation for the Italian settings and Jewish themes present in works such as The Merchant of Venice. An Enduring Literary Mystery Mainstream academic consensus remains firmly with the man from Stratford-upon-Avon. They pointed to contemporary records, theatrical tributes and historical references. The debate surrounding the Bard’s identity continues to fascinate scholars and theater lovers alike. Whether created by a single self-made dramatist or a hidden collective of noble minds, the plays continue to inspire readers across the globe.

    Modern fiction Is turning to non-human storytellers

    In contemporary literature, narrative perspective is being handed over to dogs, octopuses, whales, birds, and endangered wildlife. Talking animals have long been a fixture of children’s fables and folklore.  However, today’s literary fiction is doing something far more ambitious. Authors are adopting animal vantage points to grasp  profound existential questions, ecological grief, and the bewildering complexity of human society. Why readers and writers alike are suddenly captivated by animal narrators? This interest reveals much about our current cultural moment and the unique psychological role that fiction plays in times of global crisis. One of the most compelling reasons for the rise of animal storytellers is their ability to cut through human cynicism. We live in a world saturated with social media fatigue, and moral ambiguity. So, human characters often arrive with heavy psychological baggage. Readers may instantly judge a human narrator based on their socio-economic background, political leanings, or lifestyle choices. An animal narrator, by contrast, operates outside these human constructs. Whether it is a rescue dog observing a broken family or a pelican observing coastal transformation, an animal offers a clean perception. Their observations are rooted in immediate sensory experience: hunger, instinct, weather, fear, affection, and loyalty. Non-human narrators re-open channels of emotional honesty by stripping away political pretense. They allow readers to engage with burdening themes like grief, isolation and love. In literary theory, the concept of defamiliarization refers to the art of making the familiar look strange so that readers can see it clearly for the first time. Human beings have become accustomed to concrete jungles, light pollution, plastic waste, and digital distraction. To us, these phenomena are simply the backdrop of daily life. When we view through the eyes of a non-human entity, modern human habits suddenly appear bizarre. A bird that’s trying to navigate glass skyscrapers. Whale interpreting the deafening sonar of industrial ships. Forest mammal trying to cross a highway. They all illuminate the bizarre artificiality of human civilization. By shifting the vantage point, authors force readers to step outside their anthropocentric bubble. Thus, readers recognize how dramatically human choices disrupt the living ecosystem. We live in an era marked by accelerating biodiversity loss and climate instability. We own a reality that frequently induces emotional paralysis or denial in human populations. Directly reading about ecological devastation in news reports can lead to apathy or fatigue. Fiction narrated by animals offers a way to process ecological mourning on a deeply personal level. The abstract concept of climate change transforms into an immediate tragedy when the perspective is of an animal suffering habitat destruction. The non-human perspectives give dignity to  creatures that are seen as collateral damage in human progress. It transforms passive statistics into active, feeling individuals whose survival matters to the reader. At its core, the novel has always been an engine for cultivating empathy. For centuries, that empathy was restricted to other human beings of different cultures, genders, or eras. Modern fiction is taking the logical next step by stretching the boundaries of empathy beyond our own species. How do you depict a mind that experiences the world primarily through smell, echolocation, or instinct rather than human logic? Successful books navigate this by taking an imaginative leap with scientific understanding. Thereby, resisting the urge to turn animals into simple humans in fur or feathers. In doing so, they remind us that human intelligence is not the only valid way of experiencing reality. The surge in animal-led fiction reflects a growing realization that human stories do not exist in a vacuum. Our reluctance to listen to non-human perspectives has come at a high cost. Modern literature is not retreating from reality into fantasy. It is confronting our reality with clarity. It is reminding us of the wild world we share and the urgent need to preserve it.

In an increasingly interconnected world, disputes and tensions among nations have become more complex, involving geopolitical rivalries, ethnic and religious conflicts, ideological differences, civil unrest, and cyber warfare. These challenges threaten global peace and stability, and destroy the hustle and bustle of cities, turning them into ashes. These assaults lead to violence against innocent people . Amidst humanitarian crises and violence, diplomacy plays a crucial role in maintaining global peace, stability, and mutual prosperity among nations. Diplomacy is the most effective way to mediate disputes among nations through negotiations and table talks, preventing major conflicts and saving thousands of innocent lives. It is a manifestation of wisdom and dialogue. Modern conflicts are far more violent and complex than traditional wars. They arise from the struggle for power, competition over resources, territorial disputes, political instability, nationalism, separatism, and economic inequality. These conflicts have transformed cities into ruins, leaving streets littered with debris and countless lives lost. Millions of people have been displaced, deprived of education, healthcare, and shelter, and forced to live in extreme poverty. They have also left mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and children waiting in vain for their loved ones who never returned from the battlefield. Now, let us turn our attention to the Israel–Palestine war. Since October 7, 2023, the conflict has continued for more than 1,000 days. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, more than 73,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, while millions have been displaced and face severe humanitarian conditions. Similarly, the Russia–Ukraine war has continued for more than 1,600 days. The conflict has destroyed homes, schools, hospitals, and vital infrastructure, forcing millions to flee their homes and seek refuge in neighboring countries. History reminds us that when regional conflicts escalate into world wars, the world loses its path to peace. The First and Second World Wars claimed millions of lives and devastated entire nations. If diplomacy fails and violence prevails, humanity risks repeating the tragedies of the past. Therefore, dialogue, cooperation, and peaceful negotiation remain the only sustainable path. As modern conflicts continue to grow the importance of diplomacy cannot be overstated. Diplomacy provides nations with a peaceful means of resolving disputes through dialogue and compromise rather than violence. It prevents misunderstandings from escalating into armed conflicts and helps build trust and cooperation among nations. Strong diplomatic relations create a stable environment that encourages economic growth, attracts foreign investment, expands trade, and creates employment opportunities. Moreover, diplomacy facilitates humanitarian assistance, strengthens regional cooperation, and promotes lasting peace.In an increasingly interconnected world, it remains the most effective instrument for achieving peace, stability, and shared prosperity. History demonstrate that diplomacy repeatedly succeeded where military cops failed .The Camp David Accords (1978) ended decades of hostility between Egypt and Israel, proving that persistent dialogue can transform long-standing enemies into peace partners. Similarly, the Good Friday Agreement (1998) brought an end to years of violence in Northern Ireland through negotiation and political compromise. The Dayton Peace Agreement (1995) ended the devastating Bosnian War, while the Indus Waters Treaty (1960) between Pakistan and India has endured despite multiple wars, demonstrating that diplomatic agreements can survive even during periods of intense political tension. These examples illustrate that meaningful dialogue, mutual respect, and sustained negotiations often achieve what military force cannot. As former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan wisely observed, “More than ever before in human history, we share a common destiny. We can master it only if we face it together.” In modern world conflicts strengthening diplomacy is essential for building a peaceful, stable, and prosperous future. Governments should prioritize dialogue over confrontation, invest in skilled diplomacy, and promote mutual trust through regular communication. International organizations, regional alliances, and civil society also have an important role in facilitating peaceful negotiations and resolving disputes before they escalate into violence. At the same time, nations must uphold international law, respect sovereignty, and work together to address shared challenges such as climate change, terrorism and cyber threats. By embracing cooperation instead of conflict, diplomacy can prevent wars, protect human lives, and lay the foundation for lasting global peace and sustainable development. To conclude, diplomacy remains the cornerstone of peace and stability in an increasingly turbulent world. While modern conflicts have become more complex due to geopolitical rivalries, technological advancements, and transnational threats, dialogue and cooperation continue to offer the most effective path to lasting solutions. Military force may end battles, but only diplomacy can build enduring peace, restore trust, and promote mutual understanding among nations. As global challenges continue to transcend borders, the international community must strengthen diplomatic institutions, uphold international law, and foster a culture of cooperation. A peaceful and prosperous future depends not on the power of weapons, but on the wisdom of dialogue and the commitment to resolve differences through diplomacy.     Through the columns of your newspaper, I would like to draw attention to the growing problem of carelessness in our society. Many accidents and difficulties could be prevented if people and authorities took their responsibilities seriously. Careless driving, ignoring traffic rules, poor road conditions, and negligence by concerned departments are putting innocent lives at risk. People often drive at high speed, use mobile phones while driving, or ignore traffic signals. At the same time, damaged roads and a lack of proper safety measures make the situation worse. The cost of such carelessness is very high. Families lose their loved ones, people suffer injuries, and society faces unnecessary financial and emotional burdens. These problems cannot be solved unless everyone understands their responsibility. I urge the authorities to strictly enforce traffic rules, improve road conditions, and take action against negligence. Citizens should also follow safety rules and act responsibly.

    By Baloch Khan Thalassemia is a serious inherited blood disorder that affects thousands of families in Pakistan. Many patients, especially children, depend on regular blood transfusions and expensive treatment to survive. Sadly, many families cannot afford these costs, and blood shortages make their struggle even harder. The government, hospitals, and welfare organizations should work together to improve awareness about thalassemia. Free screening before marriage, public education campaigns, and better access to treatment can help prevent new cases and save lives. Blood donation drives should also be organized regularly so that no patient suffers due to a lack of blood. It is time to treat thalassemia as a national health priority. With greater awareness, timely screening, and public support, we can reduce the burden of this disease and give patients hope for a healthier future.

    The climate crisis is one of the greatest challenges facing the world today. Rising temperatures, heatwaves, floods droughts, and unpredictable weather are affecting millions of people. Pakistan is among the countries most vulnerable to climate change, yet many communities still lack the resources to cope with its effects. The government should take stronger steps to protect the environment by planting more trees, reducing pollution, promoting clean energy and improving disaster preparedness. At the same time, citizens must also play their part by saving water avoiding waste and keeping their surroundings clean. The climate crisis is no longer a problem of the future it is happening now. Urgent action from both the government and the public is essential to protect our environment and ensure a safer future for the next generation
