Foreigner asked to return cup set after Hua Hin café dispute
A Hua Hin café has appealed for a foreign customer to return a coffee cup set after staff said she left the shop with it following a disagreement over extra milk for a cappuccino.
The incident was shared by a Facebook user connected to a well-known café branch on Soi Hua Hin 61, who posted in the Facebook group “พลเมืองในนครหัวหินครับ” asking for help in locating the woman.
According to the post, the customer ordered a large hot cappuccino priced at 60 baht and sat outside the shop. While ordering, she asked for extra milk. Staff said they explained that if she wanted more milk, a hot latte, priced at 65 baht, would be more suitable as the two drinks are made differently.
The customer reportedly chose to continue with the cappuccino, and staff prepared the drink with additional milk as appropriate for the menu item.

After receiving the coffee, the woman stood near the counter before asking again for more hot milk. Staff said they told her milk had already been added. She then went to sit at a table outside and appeared unhappy, according to the post.
The customer later returned inside and again asked for hot milk. Staff said they explained that extra hot milk could be ordered separately for 40 baht. The post said the woman appeared dissatisfied, took photos of staff and the sign at the front of the shop, and returned to her table.
Staff later alleged that the customer placed the café’s cup set, including the cup and other crockery, into her bag before leaving. When staff went outside to clear the table, they found the cup set was missing.
The person who made the post asked anyone who knows where the woman is staying to help contact her and ask her to return the cup set. The post said the price paid for the coffee did not include the café’s crockery.
The café said that if the cup set was not returned by the end of the day, it would consider filing a police report.
