Prachuap e-Work Permit system reviewed by labour officials
Senior labour officials have visited Prachuap Khiri Khan to follow up on the province’s e-Work Permit system, as the Ministry of Labour moves to improve the management of foreign workers through digital services.
Ms Boonyavee Khaiphan, Head Inspector-General of the Ministry of Labour, led a delegation to the province on 26 May. The visit included a meeting with heads of agencies under the Ministry of Labour and security-related agencies, including Immigration, district administrative officials, Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Police and the Internal Security Operations Command’s provincial office.
The meeting, held at the Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Social Security Office, focused on progress in improving foreign worker management for the 2026 fiscal year.
e-Work Permit system aims to speed up services
The inspection team also visited the Prachuap Khiri Khan Foreign Workers’ Work Permit Service Centre at the Chiew Ocha Multipurpose Building, Branch 3, in Ko Lak subdistrict, Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan district.
Officials said the e-Work Permit system is intended to make foreign worker registration and work permit approvals faster, more transparent and easier to check.
They said the system would help raise employment standards and support economic and industrial growth in Prachuap Khiri Khan.
