Nicole Kidman feels ‘very fearful’ after Keith…

Nicole Kidman has opened up about the emotional uncertainty she has faced since her divorce from Keith Urban, admitting that her future now feels completely different from the life she once imagined.

In a candid interview with British Vogue, the Oscar-winning actress reflected on the end of her nearly 20-year marriage and described the experience as a major adjustment. Kidman said there was a time when she felt “very fearful and deeply vulnerable” as she faced an unfamiliar chapter of her life. (RTE)

The actress explained that before her split from Urban, she had a clear idea of what her life would look like. Now, that certainty has disappeared.

“I had a very different view of what my life was going to be,” Kidman said, according to reports from the interview. She added that her future currently feels “completely unknown,” leaving her to adjust to circumstances she never expected. (People.com)

Kidman and Urban married in June 2006 after meeting the previous year. During their 19-year marriage, they welcomed two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Their relationship became one of Hollywood and country music’s best-known celebrity marriages.

However, Kidman filed for divorce in Nashville on September 30, 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple’s divorce was finalized on January 6, 2026. Their settlement included a parenting plan for their daughters, while both agreed to waive spousal and child support. (People.com)

For Kidman, starting over has meant accepting that life does not always follow the plan a person creates. Rather than trying to predict every step ahead, she appears to be learning to trust herself and remain open to whatever comes next.

The actress also described herself as someone who tends to lead with her feelings. That emotional approach has helped her deal with difficult moments and continue moving forward instead of becoming consumed by uncertainty. (InStyle)

Despite the pain surrounding the end of her marriage, Kidman is not allowing the experience to define the rest of her life. She continues to focus on her family and her successful acting career, with several projects keeping her busy.

Her upcoming work includes Practical Magic 2, alongside Sandra Bullock, as well as other film and television projects. (People.com)

Kidman’s latest comments offer a rare look at the woman behind the glamorous Hollywood image. After nearly two decades of marriage, she is facing a future she never expected—but she is choosing to meet it with honesty, resilience and an openness to new possibilities.

For someone who once felt certain about where life was heading, Kidman now appears ready to embrace the uncertainty rather than fear it.

Goods transporters’ strike enters sixth day as talks With government fail

The nationwide strike by goods transporters has entered its sixth consecutive day after negotiations with the federal and provincial governments failed to produce a breakthrough. President of the Goods Transporters Association Nabil Mahmood Tariq said the talks had reached a deadlock, with no agreement reached on the key demands of the transport sector. He warned that the strike would continue indefinitely unless the government addressed the concerns raised by transporters. Speaking to Geo News by telephone, Nabil Mahmood Tariq said the negotiations failed because of what he described as the government’s rigid stance. According to him, transporters are particularly concerned about frequent changes in diesel prices, which they say make it difficult to manage transportation costs and business operations. He said the government had also refused to reduce toll taxes or guarantee that existing toll rates would remain unchanged for at least one year. Transporters have maintained that rising operating expenses, including fuel and toll charges, are putting increasing pressure on the sector. The association president said the government had offered limited concessions on customs-related matters and axle-load restrictions, but the proposals were not sufficient to end the strike. He further alleged that authorities had not yet fully assessed the economic consequences of the ongoing shutdown. According to him, the impact would become more visible in the coming days if the dispute remained unresolved. The strike has already begun affecting the movement and supply of essential commodities in several parts of the country. Disruptions in the transportation of fruits and vegetables have raised concerns about shortages and further increases in prices. In Balochistan, the strike has reportedly contributed to higher prices of several food items. In Quetta, for instance, the price of chicken meat has increased from around Rs500 to Rs550 per kilogram amid supply disruptions. Meanwhile, efforts are continuing in Karachi to maintain the supply of vegetables through smaller vehicles. However, transport-sector representatives warn that such arrangements may not be sufficient to meet normal market demand if the strike continues for an extended period. The prolonged protest has raised concerns among traders, consumers and businesses that rely heavily on road transportation. Any further delay in resolving the dispute could increase pressure on supply chains and potentially push up the prices of essential goods.

Erica Robin urges Pakistan to protect children

Pakistan’s first Miss Universe, Erica Robin, used Independence Day to highlight an urgent issue facing children across the country, urging parents to take stronger measures to protect them from sexual abuse. In a message shared on social media, Robin said that while Independence Day is a time to celebrate Pakistan, the occasion should also be used to speak about serious social problems. She said recent reports of violence and abuse involving children were deeply disturbing and required greater awareness among families. Robin offered parents three key suggestions for protecting their children. First, she urged parents not to assume that children are automatically safe with relatives or other people they know. She said families should remain aware of who has regular access to their children, regardless of whether the child is a boy or a girl. Her second recommendation was to teach children about personal boundaries. Robin said children should understand that their bodies belong to them and that they have the right to refuse unwanted physical contact. Parents, she stressed, should never force children to hug, kiss or show affection to another person if they are uncomfortable. Robin identified open communication as the most important step. She encouraged parents to create an environment where children can speak freely about anything that makes them uncomfortable or frightened. She also advised parents to pay attention to sudden changes in a child’s behaviour, particularly when the child appears uneasy around a particular person. The model urged parents to share these lessons with others and work collectively to create an environment where children feel safe, respected and heard. Her message comes amid continuing concerns over child abuse in Pakistan. More than 1,900 cases of child abuse were reported across the country during the first half of the year, according to data cited in the report. Several recent cases have intensified public concern. In Karachi, police arrested a 17-year-old relative after the father of a young girl reported that she had gone out with him to buy something and later returned unconscious after being sexually assaulted. Earlier, the deaths of two young girls in Karachi and Sargodha also sparked outrage. Police investigations into both cases involved allegations of sexual violence, while several suspects were detained in connection with the incidents.
