Parker McCollum, Hallie Ray Light welcome second baby boy

Country music star Parker McCollum and his wife, Hallie Ray Light, are celebrating a joyful new chapter after welcoming their second child together.

The couple shared the exciting news with fans through a joint Instagram post on Saturday, announcing the birth of their second son. Their newest addition, Rocker Tommy Light McCollum, was born on July 30, 2026, weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces.

The announcement featured a heartfelt message expressing the couple’s gratitude and happiness as they embraced life as a family of four.

“Rocker Tommy Light McCollum! Born on July 30th / 8 pounds 7 oz!” the couple wrote alongside the post.

They continued by thanking God for the safe arrival of their son, adding that they were deeply in love with their growing family and excited to begin their journey as parents of two children.

The social media post also included a series of touching hospital photos that captured the family’s first moments together after Rocker’s birth.

One image showed Parker and Hallie sitting together on a hospital bed, smiling warmly at the camera. Hallie gently cradled the newborn in her arms while the couple’s older son, Major Yancey Tyler McCollum, sat proudly in front of them, marking his new role as a big brother.

Another photograph featured Parker holding the sleeping newborn while Hallie cuddled Major on her lap. The images reflected the family’s excitement as they celebrated the arrival of their newest member.

The birth came shortly after Parker informed fans that he would be postponing several scheduled performances to be present for his family’s special moment.

A day before Rocker’s arrival, the singer shared a message explaining that Hallie was expected to give birth soon and that he wanted to be by her side for the occasion.

He described the upcoming birth as wonderful news for their family and said he was thrilled about becoming a father for the second time. Parker also apologized to fans for having to reschedule his remaining performances for the weekend, including concerts planned in Kansas City and Omaha, emphasizing that family came first during such an important milestone.

Supporters quickly responded with messages of congratulations, praising the couple for putting family ahead of work and wishing them happiness as they adjusted to life with two young sons.

Parker and Hallie’s relationship began years before the singer became a household name. The pair first met through a mutual friend and built a strong relationship long before Parker’s career reached new heights.

Their romance continued to flourish, leading to an engagement in July 2021. The couple married in March 2022 in a private ceremony surrounded by family and friends.

In August 2024, they welcomed their first son, Major Yancey Tyler McCollum, beginning their journey into parenthood.

Now, with the arrival of baby Rocker Tommy Light McCollum, Parker and Hallie have expanded their family once again. As they celebrate this special milestone, the couple is looking forward to raising their two sons together while balancing family life with Parker’s successful music career.

Armenian church leader stands trial in standoff with government

The trial of Catholicos Karekin II, head of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and six senior clerics has commenced in Armenia over accusations of defying a civil court order. The proceedings were halted almost immediately when the presiding judge recused himself due to a conflict of interest involving defence counsel. The case marks an unprecedented legal challenge to the church leadership, stemming from a civil order to temporarily reinstate a defrocked bishop who aligned with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Pashinyan has repeatedly called for the resignation of Karekin II and accused the church of acting as a proxy for foreign powers, specifically Russia. Church officials and human rights advocates argue the prosecution is politically motivated and violates the constitutional separation of church and state.

    India alarmed by Pakistan-Saudi-Türkiye alliance

The defence agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye has emerged as a major strategic concern for India. The three countries signed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement on August 7. Under the pact, an armed attack against any one of the three countries would be treated as an attack against all three. The agreement has attracted significant attention in New Delhi. Indian analysts are assessing its possible impact on the regional balance of power. An Indian media analysis recalled comments made by Indian Army Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Rahul R Singh in 2025. He had said that during the military confrontation between India and Pakistan in May, India faced several forms of support for Pakistan. The analysis claimed that Pakistan was directly involved in the conflict. It also alleged that China provided satellite information to Pakistan. Türkiye was accused of providing military assistance to Pakistan. The assistance reportedly included drones and other defence equipment. Saudi Arabia’s participation has now added another dimension to India’s concerns. Indian analysts fear that Riyadh could support Pakistan if another armed conflict breaks out between India and Pakistan. The concern comes despite India’s strong relations with Saudi Arabia. The two countries have extensive economic and strategic ties. India and Saudi Arabia cooperate in oil, trade, investment, security and cultural affairs. Their bilateral trade is estimated at around $43 billion. Saudi Arabia also remains an important supplier of crude oil to India. It reportedly meets around 14% of India’s crude oil requirements. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia also have a long history of defence cooperation. Pakistan has provided military training to Saudi forces. Pakistani military personnel have also been deployed in Saudi Arabia at different times. The Indian analysis claimed that Pakistan sent around 8,000 military personnel and 16 JF-17 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia during 2026. It also referred to reports about possible Pakistani drone support and Chinese-made air defence systems. These developments were reportedly linked to Saudi Arabia’s security concerns and attacks involving drones. The relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye has also expanded significantly in recent years. The two countries have increased cooperation in defence technology and military production. Pakistan has acquired Turkish-made warships and other defence equipment. Türkiye has also supported the modernisation of Pakistan’s naval capabilities. The two countries are also cooperating in the field of unmanned aerial systems. Pakistan has acquired Turkish Bayraktar Akıncı drones. Both sides have discussed and worked on expanding cooperation in drone technology. Türkiye’s KAAN stealth fighter has also attracted interest from Pakistan. However, no final purchase agreement for the aircraft has been confirmed.

Oil prices surges avove $91 as Iran war fuels Horm…

Oil prices climbed on Tuesday, with Brent crude moving above $91 a barrel as stalled diplomacy over the Iran conflict raised fresh concerns about global energy supplies. Brent futures gained 27 cents, or 0.3%, to $91.14 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate rose 42 cents to $85.04. WTI had earlier reached $85.37, its highest level since July 31. Markets remained tense after Iran signalled a shift toward a more offensive military posture, while Washington ruled out extending a temporary ceasefire. Progress toward reopening the Strait of Hormuz to normal tanker traffic has also slowed, adding to fears of prolonged supply disruptions. Only a handful of commodity vessels crossed the strategic waterway over the weekend, sharply below normal traffic levels. Concerns were further heightened by attacks in the Red Sea, reinforcing fears over disruptions at both the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb. Despite the growing tensions, reports of possible back-channel contacts between the US and Iran offered a limited sign of hope for renewed diplomacy. Meanwhile, markets are also watching US crude inventories, which are expected to have declined last week. Earlier, Oil prices climbed on Monday as uncertainty over a possible diplomatic breakthrough between the United States and Iran increased, while a sharp slowdown in tanker movements through the Strait of Hormuz heightened concerns about disruptions to global crude supplies. Brent crude futures gained as much as 1% during early trading to reach $89.40 per barrel. The benchmark was later up 72 cents, or about 0.8%, at $89.20 a barrel by 0229 GMT. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also moved higher, rising 44 cents to $82.83 per barrel. Both international benchmarks posted gains of more than 5% last week after a series of attacks involving energy and shipping assets in and around the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. The incidents have intensified fears that further escalation could affect one of the world’s most important oil transit routes. Market sentiment was further affected by developments over the weekend, when Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Tehran had yet to decide whether it would resume negotiations with Washington. US President Donald Trump, meanwhile, told Americans to prepare for somewhat higher gasoline prices as the conflict continues. Analysts said the renewed uncertainty had brought geopolitical risk back into crude markets after oil prices had previously come under pressure on expectations that diplomatic efforts could ease tensions. “Oil prices have now rebounded almost completely from the lows seen in early August, as hopes for a more permanent resolution between the US and Iran have faded and geopolitical risk premiums have returned to the market,” said Priyanka Sachdeva, head of market insights at Phillip Nova in Singapore. Sachdeva cautioned, however, that the rally could lose momentum unless there is evidence of a further deterioration in the situation. She said the market would need to see renewed aggression in the Strait of Hormuz, particularly significant damage to oil tankers or energy infrastructure, before prices were likely to move substantially higher. Hormuz shipping activity slows Concerns over physical supply disruptions increased after ship-tracking data showed a marked decline in vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend. According to data from Kpler, only five commodity vessels crossed the strategic waterway on Saturday, while no such transits were recorded on Sunday. This compared with 31 commodity vessel crossings during the previous weekend. The slowdown is significant because the Strait of Hormuz is a critical route for international energy shipments. Any prolonged disruption could increase transportation risks, raise insurance costs and place additional upward pressure on crude prices. The United Arab Emirates also accused Iran of attacking another vessel operated by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) while it was passing through the strait on Friday, according to the Emirati state news agency WAM. The UAE had earlier blamed Iran for two separate incidents involving ADNOC-operated vessels on Thursday evening. The latest incidents have added to concerns among traders that the conflict could increasingly affect commercial shipping and energy infrastructure, rather than remaining confined to military and diplomatic confrontation. The Strait of Hormuz remains particularly important to global oil markets because a substantial volume of crude and petroleum products moves through the waterway. Any sustained interruption could therefore have consequences well beyond the region. For now, traders are closely monitoring developments involving US-Iran diplomatic contacts, attacks on shipping and the movement of tankers through the strait. While the latest price gains reflect a higher geopolitical risk premium, analysts remain cautious about predicting a prolonged rally. If shipping activity resumes and diplomatic channels reopen, some of the premium built into crude prices could quickly unwind. Conversely, additional attacks on tankers, oil facilities or other critical infrastructure could trigger a stronger market reaction and push prices higher as traders reassess the security of regional supplies.

PTI chairman barrister Gohar Says Noreen Niazi’s…

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has clarified that the recent statement made by Noreen Niazi regarding the “Battle of Truth” (Maarka-e-Haq) does not reflect the official policy of the party. Speaking to the media in Rawalpindi, Barrister Gohar emphasized that the remarks were Noreen Niazi’s personal views and should not be interpreted as PTI’s official position. During the media interaction, Barrister Gohar said that every Pakistani takes pride in the country’s success in what he described as the Maarka-e-Haq. He stressed that Pakistan’s defense is strong and capable of protecting the country from any external threat. According to him, the nation remains united when it comes to safeguarding its sovereignty, and no enemy has the ability to defeat Pakistan. Addressing questions about Noreen Niazi’s comments, Barrister Gohar explained that, according to the information available to him, the interview in question had actually been recorded around three months ago. He stated that the remarks expressed during that interview represented Noreen Niazi’s personal opinion and not the official stance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He reiterated that the party’s policies are determined through its official leadership and decision-making process, not through individual statements. The PTI chairman further said that the party has consistently been trying to improve the overall political atmosphere in the country. He noted that political leaders should avoid reopening old controversies and instead focus on reducing tensions. According to Barrister Gohar, this is a time for restraint and reconciliation rather than confrontation. He remarked that everyone should avoid revisiting past disputes if the goal is to create a more stable political environment. Speaking about the current political climate, Barrister Gohar also referred to comments made by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He pointed out that the senior politician had already clarified his earlier remarks. Barrister Gohar observed that, during emotional speeches, public figures may sometimes say things that they later need to explain. However, he added that if a statement is incorrect, it should be acknowledged as such regardless of who made it. He further emphasized that certain sensitive matters should not be discussed publicly if doing so could worsen the political situation. According to him, some issues are better left untouched in order to help the country move toward greater political stability and national harmony. He urged political leaders and stakeholders to exercise caution in their public statements and avoid comments that could increase tensions. Barrister Gohar also spoke about PTI’s position regarding the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections. He stated that, at present, the party’s official decision is to boycott the elections. However, he indicated that the decision is not necessarily final and could be reviewed if political conditions improve in the future. He revealed that there had been internal discussions within the party about reconsidering the boycott. According to Barrister Gohar, some members believed that PTI should revisit its decision and participate in the elections. Nevertheless, he explained that the party leadership could not reach a consensus on changing the existing policy. As a result, the decision to boycott the AJK elections remains in place for now. The PTI chairman concluded by reiterating the party’s commitment to promoting political stability and constructive dialogue. He stressed that while differences of opinion are a normal part of politics, all political actors should prioritize national unity and work toward creating an environment that supports peace, democratic processes, and institutional stability.

George and Amal Clooney evacuate beloved French ho…

George and Amal Clooney have been forced to leave their picturesque home in southeastern France after fast-moving wildfires swept through the region, placing thousands of residents at risk. The Hollywood couple, who live in Brignoles with their nine-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, confirmed their evacuation as emergency crews battled the devastating blazes.  The Clooneys revealed the news in a heartfelt letter addressed to Brignoles Mayor Didier Brémond. In the message, the couple admitted they had no way of knowing whether their cherished home would survive the disaster. Despite the uncertainty, they expressed hope for the safety of their neighbors and pledged to stand by the local community during the recovery effort.  “At this point we have no idea whether our beautiful home makes it through this terrible moment,” the couple wrote. They also stressed that, regardless of what happens to their property, they remain committed to helping Brignoles rebuild. “We love Brignoles and our friends who live there,” the letter added.  The wildfires have spread rapidly across several parts of southern Europe, including France, Spain, Italy and Greece, fueled by extreme heat and dry weather. French authorities have carried out thousands of evacuations as firefighters continue working around the clock to contain the flames. Reports indicate that some of the fires have grown to cover an area several times larger than Paris, highlighting the scale of the crisis.  George and Amal made France their primary family home in recent years, choosing the quieter lifestyle of Brignoles over the constant attention of Hollywood. The couple has previously spoken about wanting their children to enjoy a more private upbringing, away from the spotlight. George has often described life in the French countryside as peaceful and ideal for family life.  Although the family has temporarily left the area, their message made it clear that they remain emotionally connected to the town they now call home. Their promise to help with recovery efforts has been widely praised by local residents and supporters, who have applauded the couple’s commitment during a difficult time.  As firefighters continue battling the blazes, the fate of the Clooneys’ home remains uncertain. However, the couple’s focus appears to be on the safety of their community rather than their own property. Their response serves as a reminder that natural disasters affect everyone, regardless of fame, while also highlighting the importance of standing together in times of crisis.

Drake’s take care reaches 700 weeks on billboard 200

Drake has once again proven his extraordinary staying power in the music industry by reaching another major milestone on the Billboard charts. Often described by fans as the “king of streaming charts,” the Canadian rapper and singer has built an impressive career filled with chart-topping records, massive streaming numbers, and albums that continue to attract listeners years after their release. His latest achievement comes from Take Care, the critically acclaimed album he released in 2011. More than a decade after its debut, the album has officially spent 700 weeks on the Billboard 200, placing Drake among an exclusive group of artists whose albums have achieved this remarkable level of longevity. According to Billboard, only 13 albums in history have reached the 700-week milestone on the Billboard 200. This week, Take Care climbed three spots to No. 27 on the chart, further extending its impressive run. The achievement places Drake alongside some of the biggest and most influential names in music history, including Pink Floyd, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Journey, Metallica, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Eminem, Bruno Mars, Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses, Michael Jackson, Kendrick Lamar and Queen. The complete list of albums that have remained on the Billboard 200 for at least 700 weeks includes Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon, Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Legend, Journey’s Greatest Hits, Metallica’s self-titled album, Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits, Eminem’s Curtain Call: The Hits, Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans, Nirvana’s Nevermind, Guns N’ Roses’ Greatest Hits, Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city, Queen’s Greatest Hits, and Drake’s Take Care. The milestone is particularly significant because Take Care was released during a period when the music industry was undergoing major changes. Streaming had not yet become the dominant force it is today, yet the album managed to establish itself as one of Drake’s most important and influential projects. Featuring memorable tracks such as “Marvins Room,” “The Motto,” and “Take Care,” the album helped cement Drake’s position as one of contemporary music’s biggest stars. The album’s remarkable longevity also reflects Drake’s ability to maintain a strong connection with listeners long after an album’s initial release. While many projects experience a significant decline in popularity after their first few years, Take Care has continued to attract new listeners, generate streams and remain relevant more than a decade after its release. Meanwhile, Drake has also achieved another impressive Billboard feat, with 11 of his albums appearing on the Billboard 200, a level of sustained chart presence that very few artists have managed to achieve. With Take Care now officially joining the 700-week club, Drake has added another historic accomplishment to his already impressive career. The milestone further strengthens his reputation as one of the most commercially successful and enduring artists of his generation, while Take Care continues to prove that its impact has extended far beyond the era in which it was originally released.
