Sheheryar Munawar’s shorts become a hot topic on social media

Sheheryar Munawar is among Pakistan’s most admired actors, known for his successful television dramas, films, and growing career as a producer. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation not only for his performances but also for taking on creative roles behind the camera. His latest production, Dar e Nijaat, recently premiered on ARY Digital, marking another important milestone in his journey in the entertainment industry. While celebrating the launch of the drama, the actor has also been enjoying a vacation in Spain alongside his wife, actress and model Maheen Siddiqui.

The couple has been sharing glimpses of their European getaway with fans through social media. Their travel pictures feature beautiful streets, scenic locations, and relaxed moments together as they explore Spain during the summer season. Like many parts of Europe, Spain has been experiencing extremely high temperatures, and both Sheheryar and Maheen have been dressing in lightweight summer outfits suitable for the weather.

One set of photos, however, quickly became the center of online discussion. In the pictures, Sheheryar was seen wearing a bright red short-sleeved shirt paired with matching shorts. While the actor appeared comfortable and confident in his outfit, the length of the shorts became a talking point among social media users.

Maheen Siddiqui appeared to appreciate her husband’s fashion choice, and the couple looked happy and relaxed during their holiday. Fans also admired the chemistry between the newlyweds, with many leaving heart emojis and positive comments praising their vacation photos.

However, not everyone reacted positively to Sheheryar’s look. Several social media users criticized the outfit, saying they felt the shorts were too short. Although many agreed that the actor looked stylish overall, they questioned his choice of clothing and shared mixed opinions in the comments section.

Some users wrote that the outfit did not suit his personality, while others expressed that they preferred seeing him in more traditional or classic styles. A few comments were particularly harsh, with one person writing that the shorts looked inappropriate. Another social media user questioned the fashion choice altogether, while others simply stated that they did not like the overall appearance.

Despite the criticism, many fans defended Sheheryar, pointing out that he was on vacation in Europe during peak summer and wearing clothing appropriate for the hot weather. Supporters argued that celebrities should be free to wear whatever makes them comfortable, especially while enjoying personal time away from work.

As is often the case with celebrity fashion, opinions remained divided. While some social media users criticized the outfit, others appreciated Sheheryar’s confidence and believed the discussion over his clothing was unnecessary. The debate once again highlighted how public figures often receive intense scrutiny over even the smallest aspects of their personal style.

For now, Sheheryar Munawar and Maheen Siddiqui continue to enjoy their holiday, sharing memorable moments with fans while balancing professional success and married life. The actor’s latest production continues to receive attention, proving that both his work and his personal life remain of great interest to audiences.

Pakistan ranks fifth globally in viral Hepatitis b…

Pakistan has been ranked among the countries with the highest number of viral hepatitis cases worldwide, with the country standing fifth globally in total hepatitis burden, according to the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA). The warning was issued on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, highlighting the growing public health challenge caused by hepatitis B and C infections. PMA Secretary General Dr Abdul Ghafoor Shoro said Pakistan has one of the world’s largest burdens of Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), with around 10 million people suffering from chronic Hepatitis C. In addition, an estimated 3.8 million people are living with chronic Hepatitis B (HBV), bringing the total number of people affected by viral hepatitis in the country to approximately 13.8 million. According to the PMA, Pakistan’s hepatitis burden is higher than many countries and is exceeded only by China, India, Indonesia, and Nigeria. The national prevalence rate of Hepatitis C is estimated between 4.8 and 7.5 percent, while Hepatitis B affects around 1.1 to 1.7 percent of the population. Health experts warned that untreated hepatitis can lead to serious complications, including liver cirrhosis and liver cancer, which collectively claim more than 37,000 lives in Pakistan every year. Dr Shoro stated that Pakistan contributes a significant share of new global Hepatitis C infections due to unsafe medical practices. He highlighted that thousands of new infections occur annually because of the reuse of unsterilized syringes, unsafe medical equipment, and unscreened blood transfusions. Other major causes of hepatitis transmission include unsafe surgical procedures, dental treatments, tattooing, body piercing, shaving with contaminated razors at barber shops, and practices carried out by unqualified healthcare providers. Low coverage of the mandatory Hepatitis B birth-dose vaccine has also remained a concern. President Asif Ali Zardari said hepatitis remains one of the country’s most serious public health challenges but emphasized that it can be prevented and treated through early detection, timely medical care, and collective efforts. He stressed the need for strict regulation of unsafe healthcare practices and awareness campaigns to protect citizens. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also highlighted the importance of prevention, early diagnosis, and access to quality treatment. He said strengthening the healthcare system and improving public awareness are essential steps toward reducing the disease burden. Health authorities and public representatives called for greater cooperation between government institutions, healthcare providers, and communities to control hepatitis transmission and improve treatment access across Pakistan.

Pakistan keeps petrol and diesel prices unchanged …

The Government of Pakistan has decided to keep petrol and diesel prices unchanged for the next two days after implementing fuel price increases over five consecutive days. The Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy issued an official notification confirming that current prices will remain in effect on July 26 and 27, 2026. According to the notification, the price of petrol will remain at Rs. 335.18 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) will continue to be sold at Rs. 383.46 per litre during the two-day period. The decision comes after a series of recent adjustments to petroleum prices under the government’s revised pricing mechanism. Authorities said no further changes would be made during the specified period, providing temporary stability for consumers following multiple increases. The latest notification confirms that the existing fuel rates announced on July 25 will remain effective through July 27. Officials from the Petroleum Division stated that the move is in line with the government’s current fuel pricing policy. Just a day earlier, the government had raised petrol prices by Rs. 3.66 per litre and high-speed diesel prices by Rs. 4.80 per litre. Those increases followed another hike in which petrol became Rs. 4.40 per litre more expensive and diesel increased by Rs. 3.62 per litre. Before the latest revisions, petrol was priced at Rs. 331.52 per litre, while high-speed diesel was available at Rs. 378.66 per litre on July 24. The recent adjustments reflect ongoing fluctuations in petroleum pricing driven by changes in international oil markets and domestic pricing policies. Fuel prices play a significant role in Pakistan’s economy, influencing transportation costs, industrial production, and the prices of essential goods and services. Any increase or decrease in petroleum prices has a direct impact on businesses and household budgets across the country. The government’s decision to maintain current prices for two days is expected to provide short-term certainty for consumers and businesses. However, future revisions will continue to depend on global oil prices, exchange rate movements, and the government’s fuel pricing framework. Motorists and businesses are advised to follow official announcements from the Petroleum Division for any future changes in fuel prices. The current notification confirms that petrol and diesel rates will remain unchanged until the end of July 27, unless a new directive is issued by the government.
