“There are a total of 9 known carbon fiber bodied CSX Cobras out of the 10 planned (the registry incorrectly lists 7) and CSX4000R is incorrectly entered without mention of the carbon body. I am a lucky to own one of those 9 carbon Cobras.

“Wow! I watched the walk around video. Brings back memories from the Series 1 I bought new in 1970 just out of college, 08877. I recognized every little detail, like the seatbelt holder clips and engine wire wraps. The only thing missing is the smell of a new car, maybe that’s there too. Incredible. Unfortunately I sold mine a couple years ago on BAT. It has a good home and hopefully will be restored someday. This car should make it close to the all time highs for an auction.”

“An Alfa like this, in this original condition, is simply priceless. I don’t know who coined the expression “you can’t go home again,” but this car proves them wrong. This car is more than a time capsule, it is a time machine. Drive it and you will be transported back to Italy during an automotive golden age. A 100 point Pebble Beach example couldn’t give you any more pleasure than enjoying this in today’s real world. GLWTA.”

“I am the previous of this car and I knew the engineer that built the car. The builder was a very talented engineer and sadly he passed away. I knew the car and I bought it from his estate. The car is a blast to drive and I will miss it. The only reason I have for selling it is that I am getting old and I still have a bucket list of cars that I would like to own before it is too late. I am sure that the new owner of this car will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.”

“My wife & I got married in July 1978. We packed her little red Chevette to the hilt with all of our wedding gifts and drove from Chicago to Houston with only gas stops along the way. Took us 24 hours! After a few years the drivers floor pan rusted through. A sheet of 3/8 plywood cut to size fixed that. It was no longer the Fred Flintstone mobile!
