“Good evening everyone and welcome to our latest Premium, Exclusive, Bring-A-Trailer Auction!
For our many Mercedes-Benz fans and AMG aficionados, you are in for a rare and very special treat!
AMG built just 35 of these scarce, pre-merger, treasures and 25 of them were immediately scooped up by the Sultan of Brunei and never to be seen again…
This is just one of the ten built, that were snuck out to private collections to come our way and the first to come from an original…”

A great car that I have personally been around and driven. Best of luck to all bidders and the seller. Mark has the good stuff!!”

    “Rare and eerily beautiful.
I saw one of these driving down our main street years ago when the rear door opened and the coffin slid out and kept rolling down the street. People tried to slow it down but no luck. Finally a clerk from the local drug store ran out, caught up to the speeding casket and sprayed Robitussin all over it.
Boy did that ever stop the coffin.”

“Chris here, the founder of S30.world
I’ve truly enjoyed the auction so far and am humbled by the response from everyone.
I have invested an extraordinary amount of time and resources into the S30 platform and for those who truly understand these cars, the reason is obvious.
When I finally decided to take the 240Z back to the level of when it first left the factory, it became a personal statement and an expression of pure passion for the car. I wanted to create a tribute to the S30…”

“I am both really happy and sad at the same time to see this car listed by Fred on BaT. I was the one that originally built it as part of a project series on our old website (VWVortex.com) and it looks like Fred has really done a nice job in preserving and maintaining my old car. Bid with confidence.. and I will look forward to seeing the questions and the auction progress.”

“I’ve always has a soft spot for first-year designs. Back in the day, car designers were able to accomplish things with their new creations that actually made it into first year production. These unique attributes were often removed or replaced by the bean counters in subsequent model years. The 67 TBird is a good example: compare the front bumper on this car to a 68 or later and you’ll find a beautifully designed full-chrome piece that is replaced by painted metal on other models. The…”

“Gleaming Black shows off so well MG’s first “envelope body”. It’s often said that a black car is the hardest to do right and the toughest to keep clean, but when both are done to this level the result is quietly stunning.
This car looks to be Very Well done in every respect.”

Nice modifications, and it appears that the seller has had a lot of fun while keeping it in fine running shape. Though lots of miles, I bet that the next owner can get years more use if they stay on top of issues as they arise.
A five speed, a 300Tdi engine, and a first series Disco….what’s not to like?”

“The gap between the order date and the serialized date on the Marti report reminds me that Ford workers went on strike in the fall of 1976.
I had factory ordered a new Econoline 150 around the same time as this Bronco and I took delivery in January of 1977. My van was the same Midnight Metallic Blue as this Bronco. A Great color”

“My dad also has a Judson in his ’56 lowlight and got me hooked on 36hps. I currently have an Okrasa and just pulled a ’58 T2 36hp out of my Brasilia science project. I see at one point in picture 507 this Ghia had an Okrasa setup. I would have loved to talk to the owner/builder and hear their feedback on the differences. Does the motor still have the Okrasa 69.5 crank or upgraded (356/custom) camshaft with the Judson setup? Does it by chance have a the uber rare “high compression” domed VW…”

Top down, rowing your own gears, flat-six at 9k RPM echoing off the cliffs… it turns every mile into an event. What a great Porsche. Here’s to the next owner racking up the miles on it.”

    “OK let’s get serious here.
What a lot of us often don’t realize when we look at something like this is the enormous amount of time, engineering, design, and late night haunting representing thousands of hours by dedicated people to develop and refined a complete and functional performance car.
You are not just buying the parts to make cars, you’re buying an entire history of what it took to build the cars.
So…if you are contemplating building your own cars, this is an excellent way to…”

The Ghibli is more reliable and more user friendly. The steering wheel can be adjusted up/down and the seat back is adjustable. No such luck on the Daytona. This car has power steering while the Daytona feels like a truck at slow speed.
