A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:
“WOW! I am speechless. what an incredible auction full of passionate enthusiasts. I’m humbled by it all, and so incredibly happy to see that people recognize the hard work and love I put into this car — and also the obvious appreciation of the goldilocks nature of the 987.2 2.9L.
thank you to everyone who commented and bid, and especially thanks and congratulations to @D4307. you’re getting a truly incredible car!
I’ll be in pain seeing it go, but as Epictetus said: never say of anything…”

“I have fond memories enjoying this car before selling it to J Seminetta years ago… It’s one of many I wish I never sold! It’s great to see it so well maintained
and cared for all these years. Killer Car! The new owner will love it.”

“Gorgeous! I drove an ‘85 all through college in the ‘90s. Even through the Michigan winters. So many fun times in that car! I sold it with around 150,000 miles on it. Years later i ran into the woman that bought it. She had 220,000 miles on it. Fenders were falling apart with rust. But that in-line 6 still ran like a top!”

“It is hard to imagine now how many of these cars were basically abandoned when gas approached $1.00 a gallon in the late 70s. I bet many people wish they had their old hemi cars now.”

“This is an amazing survivor that has been lovingly cared for by the family. The pictures remind me of the pictures I have of my Mom and Dad in front of Dad’s late thirties Harley in their leather motorcycle jackets, over the calf motorcycle boots, and riding pants. They rode from Indiana to the west coast and to Florida a couple of times. A hardy pair.”
