“My son was racing our Datsun roadster in D Production one of the times Paul ran in the same class at Daytona. He wandered up to our crew working on our roadsturd. His crew had sent him to borrow a multimeter. He would just show up and pay the late regristration fees so everyones crew wouldn’t be packed with “crew” there just to catch a look at him as a star. I think he enjoyed just being one of us club racers. Very pleasant to talk to. He wasn’t in a hurry to get back to his crew who might have…”

“Buy it, drive it, join us a few times a year to stare at each others cars and meet great people. Cool community for a car that is surprisingly easy to drive. My first road trip was Tail of the Dragon in January ‘24 my 16 yr old at the wheel…memories forever”

“Good evening everyone and welcome to our latest Premium, Exclusive, Bring-A-Trailer Auction!
For our many Mercedes-Benz fans and AMG aficionados, you are in for a rare and very special treat!
AMG built just 35 of these scarce, pre-merger, treasures and 25 of them were immediately scooped up by the Sultan of Brunei and never to be seen again…
This is just one of the ten built, that were snuck out to private collections to come our way and the first to come from an original…”33

A great car that I have personally been around and driven. Best of luck to all bidders and the seller. Mark has the good stuff!!”

“Rare and eerily beautiful.
I saw one of these driving down our main street years ago when the rear door opened and the coffin slid out and kept rolling down the street. People tried to slow it down but no luck. Finally a clerk from the local drug store ran out, caught up to the speeding casket and sprayed Robitussin all over it.
Boy did that ever stop the coffin.”14

“One of my all time favorite cars! I had two kids and one on the way. At the time minivans were the big thing, SUVs hadn’t replaced them yet. I couldn’t afford a minivan, but could afford almost this exact car, then 10 years old.
Those kids were 5 and 3 at the time, but they still remember the car, and watching The Iron Giant with my wife at an Indiana drive in with pizza and popcorn. The way back seat held all of us comfortably on a rainy summer night. I knew even then it was going to…”16

“The first thing I looked at was the first driving video, and that made my morning, seeing the focus with the manual steering. No lackadaisical grip on that wheel.
Just the right street car for getting the blood pumping, without needing to get crazy to do it. A simple and easily maintainable build, with no exotic or exceptionally expensive components, and easy access to pretty much everything. It seems like a car that can happily sit on a battery tender, with some fuel stabilizer, and be…”12

Talk drifted to Christmas.
