“Love this example. I also have a Piedmont Green Metallic E400 Wagon (more photos on my IG @ptsrs) and can confirm it is a wonderful family car. It also gets surprisingly a lot of compliments, especially from young dads haha. As the other Piedmont owner said, the color is incredibly dynamic. The M276 V6 is buttery smooth and has a good reputation for reliability.

“My parents bought a blue 1964 Wagon like this and we made two big trips from MN, one to Southern California, including Disneyland, and the other to Alaska. The Alaska trip was memorable for my two brothers and I. We had 11 flat tires, the gravel was almost as big as the mosquitoes, big trucks flew by us as we rolled up the windows and ducked, of course the windshield needed replacement and within a year all of the paint had peeled off the hood. “So an observation of a very obscure Honda factoid. This car has the dealer installed, recall program Takata black plastic guides still in place on the front seat belt latches. The Honda and Acura recall notice back then stated there were complaints about the front seat belts not latching properly. This was Takata’s solution. “I own a 1938 Flying Squirrel. The engine number is one digit away from this bike and the frame number is two digits away. When I contacted the Scott Club Registry to authenticate my bike I was advised that 220 Flying Squirrels were produced (500cc and 600cc versions combined) in 1938. The whereabouts of 101 were known. Of those, twenty had the redesigned detachable head as does this bike. GLWTS”

“A 1952 220A Cabriolet was my daily driver in the early 1970s. When decades later I drove past a billboard depicting a painted one on Sunset Blvd, I did a u-turn to see what it was about. It advertised the Hiro Yamagata exhibit at Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery running from Sept 13 thru Oct 23, 1994. I was at the opening, chatted with Mr Yamagata, and marveled that I was seeing more 220As in one room than I had seen in my entire life.

“This is the car that convinced me just why fulvias were rally champions. Having known the owner for a while you can rest assured that this particular example was treated with both love and care.
Having had a chance to drive it down a curvy road or two, it’s mechanically perfect and just a hoot to drive as well.
The gorgeous color doesn’t hurt either.”
