“I’ve always thought the ’69 Camaro is one of the most perfectly styled cars of the era, particularly as an RS Z/28. @BlackMountainMotorworks did the right thing by including a number of side profile photos. (Surprising how many sellers don’t!) The color on this one is fantastic, worthy of a poster.
Being an early Trans Am Series fan I was thrilled to get close to the Penske/Donahue #6 racer at an 80’s Walter Mitty. I have a packet of photos I keep aside so I can easily remind myself.…”

“I remember this model. It signaled to many that Hyundai was becoming a serious car company, at a time when some early Excels were still running around leaving clouds of blue oil smoke behind them. The Tiburon could have had Honda badges and nobody might have been the wiser.

The intake and exhaust climbs to insane levels particularly in 2nd gear, the balance and steering weight are just sublime. Brake pedal feel is just right.…”

The E model has smaller numbers, but probably is the best driving street machine out of all the early cars. 1972 model to boot! For a little background, this car was purchased brand new by an airline 747 captain living in Tiburon, CA. Years later I find myself working for that same airline. I’m the Genius that installed the Palmini floor pan on the floor pan . It was and still common to mount the fuel tank in this location . on this paticular kart with three engines there is no room for a seat back tank .
all of the compoenants are original , I spent a lot of time and money aquiring all the Palmini , Hands and Van Tech parts to build this machine

“in all this auction excitement, I’ve devoted a certain amount of my morning coffee time searching the internet for my own Ferrari 288 GTO – a number of which are thankfully within my price range, including Walmart, for about $100.
However, due to their scaled down 1:18 size and non-running status, it’s unlikely I’ll be driving it anywhere other than “my imagination” during this lifetime.
Perhaps my NEXT lifetime.”

“Another interesting fact thanks to Andy is this car was shipped on August 17, 1965 and delivered to Hayward Motors in CA and on the deliver truck were two additional 350’s as well as a prototype GT40….now that would be a cool truck to see driving down the road!!! This car is a statement piece and one of the true great American muscle cars.”
