Here’s yesterday’s comments of note
A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:
“Clearly this was an emotional purchase. This is SAAB Number 19 for me, started with 3 cylinder 2 cycles, a pile of 99’s including a 78 Turbo, and then on to the 900s. My wife converted from GM to SAAB with an 83 Turbo before we were married then a 87 Turbo that we brought both daughters home from the hospital in. Daughters still driving 9-3’s we bought them in high school.
My wife really really wanted this car, so as a good husband I had to get it done.”
“Thanks all! My dream car in an amazing color – can’t wait to take her for a drive!”
“On vacation in Europe with my parents in 1965 we were in traffic next to a Ferrari similar to this. Have a vague recollection of the paler blue metallic, a far stronger impression as the traffic cleared was the howl as it disappeared down the road.
My father didn’t give chase in our Austin 1100.”
“I’m the previous owner of this rig. We used it primarily as a rolling billboard for our RV Campground… had our logo on the side. Really drew attention. I can tell you it really drove better than I expected, several hundred miles freeway and highway with no issues. I did add LT tires on the back as well as the booster shocks to help with rocking/swaying. It’s much lighter than it looks, when i bought it three of us picked it up by hand and loaded it on a trailer.”
