  • BaT Auction Success Story: Right On the Slant Nose You Should Know

    This Success Story comes to us from BaT member dustydangler24, who won this Porsche 930 Turbo Slant Nose from FinestVehiclesTraded in a December 2025 BaT auction:
    I had been waiting a long time for the right slant-nose to come up for sale, and when this 1988 911 Turbo cabriolet M505 finished in Grand Prix White over Lipstick Red appeared on Bring a Trailer, I immediately knew it was the one. There was simply no way I wasn’t going to win it. A bunch of bids came in early, and I’m not going to lie—I had a moment of “uh-oh, this may get away from me.” But it landed right where I expected it to, and the rest was history.

The service writer put “Aspen” on the repair order, so my grandfather asked him to correct it.     Understanding baT at the 2026 Woodward Dream Cruise

    Back in 1995, the late Ferndale resident Nelson House helped create what would become “North America’s largest one-day automotive event”—the Woodward Dream Cruise, a seemingly endless stream of American car culture parading along Motown’s legendary Woodward Avenue. A BaT crew will be there for this year’s happening, which will take place this coming Saturday, August 15.

    Much like purchasing our house over a decade ago, there were a lot of swings and misses as it related to my BaT experience.
