“I just got back from a wonderful trip to Italy.
My faith in humanity was restored, never in my life had I seen so many cool wagons and hot hatches ripping up and down the Autostrade and country roads. Even really neat turbo diesel variants.
    The Europeans get it.
Us Americans don’t…still not sure why every household Stateside needs a full size pick-up truck or massive SUV the size of my first college apartment.
    I love this auction collection!

    “@68Vet
Baja California and back to Sacramento in a slant six Dart? That is an absolute adventure and proof positive that these cars were built for exactly that kind of journey. No drama, no breakdowns, just mile after mile of honest reliable transportation through some pretty unforgiving terrain. That slant six was one of the toughest engines ever bolted into an American car and your story is a perfect reminder of that.
Thank you for sharing that memory and for the kind words. That is…”

The prototype from Japan was purple and RHD which got lots of stares and thumbs up Super fun cars to drive. Drove it to Lake Tahoe through many fun roads. Handled pretty well for a SUV.”

“I own the same car, even down to the 1592 twin cam and automatic transmission. It was built 6,028 cars later than this one, currently has 178,408 miles, and is our daily driver. I got it from the original owner’s family, and am technically the 4th caretaker. Since I also specialize in Fiats, I have serviced it mostly from new.

arbifox commented on 1994 Lotus Esprit Sport 300

“The first thing I looked at was the first driving video, and that made my morning, seeing the focus with the manual steering. No lackadaisical grip on that wheel.
Just the right street car for getting the blood pumping, without needing to get crazy to do it. A simple and easily maintainable build, with no exotic or exceptionally expensive components, and easy access to pretty much everything.
