“The good old days. Sit down with a sales person and start checking the right boxes to buy the car that’s built just for you.”

“Beautiful car, tremendous history. Made all the more valuable in my eyes by not being a static display. Too many “experienced” cars are doomed to a life in a cage, never again to be heard or seen performing the purpose they were built for…driving with spirit. Thanks, and good luck.”

“Hi everyone — Ash here, seller of Lil’ Red (1972 Grumman AA-1A, N6371L).
Happy to answer questions and provide documentation. The aircraft comes with complete airframe, engine, and propeller logs (dating back to early records noted in the listing), recent annuals, compression test results, avionics and lighting documentation, and records related to the 2022 landing incident repairs.
The auction ends on December 23 — just in time for Christmas. Also, the pilot who flew the aircraft…”

“What a great airplane for BaT. Responsive, and sporty to please a lot of pilots, and basic enough to be a trainer for a new student.
And, seller, your preparation is excellent, I can’t think of anything not covered in photos, text, and videos.”

“It’s incredible to see the one-year only chromed exhaust extensions! They were unique to 1975 Formulas and 400-powered Trans Ams.
For record, the chromed splitters, which were introduced on the 1974 GTO were included with the Trans Am’s “455 HO” package introduced in midyear 1975 and used throughout the remainder of the 1970s and into the 1980s.”

What a great car that was! Some of my favorite memories are cruising with my best friend in the Cadillac listening to Led Zeppelin. A true Party Barge! He passed away last year, still my best friend. Thanks for the memories”

Thanks everyone. We had a great time.”

“I grew up with these cars! When I see one in this condition it instantly brings me back to when I could not wait for Friday night, a Trans Am, a date, an arcade to socialize and play games. No cell phones, computers etc. Just everyone enjoying each others company and cruising these glorious cars. Absolutely awesome example!! GLWTA”

“I’ve owned 2 Mangustas. Gary Hall, whose wife used one as a daily driver (!)… told me to correct the odd handling , you need to change to larger shocks, change spring rates, change to stiffer suspension bushings, change tire pressures with radial tires. I did on my earlier car #804 and it worked wonders! My current cat #1096 has updated revisions including QA-1 shocks, springs and factory updated engine and transmission mounts. It drives flawlessly. I drive mine year round (as long as there ‘s no snow or salt on the roads) and 95% with the top down (only in inclement weather) no matter how cold! I’ve gone all over New England, down to PA and back, upstate NY, and always get home. Most anything is easily fixable as a shade tree mechanic; I’ve done most of the work myself until the past few years (my knees are getting pretty…”

“Looking at the pictorial history , this car was a significant custom , built in the golden age of custom cars and was obviously left in a state that may have lead to it disappearing forever .
Accolades to those with the skills , talent and imagination to have originally built it , and cheers to the gentleman who saved it from oblivion and had the fortitude to bring it back .
A great story here if you appreciate or grew up in the era that this came from ..”

“WOW! Some won’t understand it, but for those of us that are old enough to have witnessed the greatness of the “full custom” car era, this is a walk down Memory Lane. I feel very fortunate to have grown up in the So Cal custom car culture and this is a great example of the creative customs from that time. Kudos to all involved in this meticulous and period correct restoration. Thank you for saving this significant piece of automotive history! GLWTA!”

I bought her from my elderly neighbor who needed a smaller car when she moved in with her children, but the dealerships would not offer her half the NADA guide price in trade, so I paid the NADA price. I knew the history of the car and the mechanic who serviced Wynonna since the early 1990s, but who retired in 2025. He is an AACA member and always at the Hershey Eastern Fall Meet as well as some of the Carlisle Car Show events.…”

This was my first-ever brand new car, purchased in Petersburg, Virginia when this fresh Army Quartermaster second lieutenant received a small fortune (It seemed so at the time) from the Army in TDY pay and turned it into Kenosha metal. Mine had the 343 not the 390, but was exactly this color, same transmission, and the brown leather which was original to this car, too. The car accompanied me to my first–and only–duty station in West Germany because officers’ car-shipping was…”

I bought this car to hot rod as well, but it was so mint that I couldn’t do it, it is truly flawless inside and out. However, my OCD got the best of me and I invested whatever was needed to make the car perfect and decided to let it go as an offering to the BAT community. @hoarsche enjoy!”
