38th Pakistan Scrabble Championship, Hasan Hadi wins national title
Hasan Hadi Khan has won the title at the 38th Pakistan Scrabble Championship.
The three-day championship featured 80 of the country’s top Scrabble players.
Hasan Hadi Khan claimed his second national title by winning 20 of his 27 matches. He secured the championship after defeating 14-year-old Ahmed Salman in a thrilling final-round match and received the winner’s trophy.
Former World Youth Champion Ali Salman finished third, while former Asian Youth Champion Hashim Hadi secured fourth place. Defending champion and Pakistan’s No. 1 player Waseem Khatri finished fifth.
In the Second Division, Muhammad Uzair claimed first place, Aiman Faisal finished second, and Affan Suhail took third place.
The prizes were presented by chief guest Nadeem Omar, owner of the Quetta Gladiators PSL franchise and President of the Karachi Regional Cricket Association.
