Preliminary accounts point to possible electrical issues or ignition near the stage cutoff, potentially involving alcohol vapors or wiring, though no official determination has been made. The venue’s interior suffered extensive damage, with the ceiling largely destroyed while some plastic furnishings near the floor remained relatively intact, showing the role of flammable decorations.
Injured victims, many suffering from burns and smoke inhalation, were transported to nearby hospitals. Authorities continue to monitor 22 critically injured cases.
