Demi Moore shares emotional glimpse of Tallulah’s wedding fitting

Demi Moore has offered fans a touching look at the moments leading up to her daughter Tallulah Willis’ wedding, sharing intimate photographs from the bride’s dress fitting just days after the 32-year-old actress and musician Justin Acee exchanged vows in Sun Valley, Idaho.

The 63-year-old Oscar-nominated actress took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a carousel of personal photographs capturing some of the special moments surrounding Tallulah’s wedding preparations. The images showed Moore closely involved in the emotional experience as her daughter prepared for one of the biggest days of her life.

In one particularly tender photograph, Moore can be seen gently lifting a veil over Tallulah’s face as the bride-to-be admired her appearance. Another image captured Tallulah standing in front of a mirror and taking in the details of her wedding gown, with her mother nearby sharing the meaningful moment.

Reflecting on the experience, Moore described the dress fitting as a precious memory that she would always cherish. She expressed gratitude for being able to experience the special occasion alongside her daughter and the rest of their family.

Moore also gave special recognition to designer Pierpaolo Piccioli, Balenciaga’s creative director, for creating Tallulah’s wedding gown. She praised the designer for producing a dress that brought her daughter’s vision for her wedding day to life.

The Instagram carousel also offered a glimpse into the close-knit family celebrations. One photograph showed Moore sitting alongside Tallulah’s father, Bruce Willis, and their daughters Rumer and Scout. The family appeared relaxed and joyful as they embraced and laughed together on a couch.

Another heartwarming image featured Moore holding her granddaughter Louetta, Rumer Willis’ daughter, adding another family moment to the collection of memories from the wedding celebrations.

Tallulah’s marriage to Justin Acee marks an important milestone for the Willis family, which has continued to remain close during a challenging period. Her father, Bruce Willis, has been living with frontotemporal dementia, a condition that affects the brain’s ability to control behaviour, language and other functions.

The celebrated actor was initially diagnosed with aphasia in 2023 before his condition was later identified as frontotemporal dementia. Since then, his family members have regularly emphasized the importance of supporting one another and spending meaningful time together.

Against that backdrop, Tallulah’s wedding became another significant occasion for the family to gather and celebrate together. Moore’s latest photographs provide a rare and emotional glimpse behind the scenes, highlighting not only the excitement surrounding Tallulah’s wedding dress but also the importance of family connection during a major life milestone.

Through the intimate images, Moore captured the love, happiness and tenderness that surrounded her daughter’s special day, preserving memories that she described as being forever etched in her heart.

Karachi Court orders Mir Ali Raza’s exhumation

KARACHI: A judicial magistrate’s court in Karachi has approved a plea seeking the exhumation of businessman Mir Ali Raza’s body, directing the Sindh Health Secretary to immediately constitute a medical board to oversee the process. The Judicial Magistrate (East) announced the decision on Thursday after reserving its verdict following arguments from both sides. The court instructed the relevant authorities to complete the exhumation as soon as possible to facilitate a fresh medical examination. During the hearing, counsel for the petitioner argued that the police had no legal grounds to object to the exhumation, maintaining that the procedure would be carried out under the supervision of the Police Surgeon and the Medical Legal Officer (MLO), as required under the law. The lawyer further informed the court that the Police Surgeon had identified several deficiencies in the initial post-mortem report. According to the submissions, no X-rays were conducted, the exact cause of death was not conclusively established, and the report was allegedly prepared on assumptions rather than comprehensive medical findings. The court questioned how such an order could be passed without first issuing notice to the investigating officer. In response, the government prosecutor stated that the prosecution had no objection to the exhumation, describing the matter as one involving the search for the truth in a human life. The petitioner’s counsel argued that notifying the investigating officer at this stage could unnecessarily delay the proceedings and affect the timely collection of forensic evidence. After noting the prosecution’s no-objection stance, the court accepted the family’s application and directed the Health Secretary to form a medical board without delay. The board will supervise the exhumation and carry out the necessary medical examination to help determine the cause of death more accurately. The case has drawn public attention following questions raised by the deceased’s family over the circumstances surrounding Mir Ali Raza’s death and the quality of the initial forensic investigation. The court’s decision is expected to pave the way for an independent medical review, with the findings likely to play a significant role in the ongoing investigation. Authorities are now expected to begin the legal and administrative process required to carry out the exhumation under official supervision.

Naqvi defends officials over viral carriage video

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has defended the Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman and Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) after a video of the two officials arriving at an Independence Day event in a horse-drawn carriage triggered criticism on social media. CDA Chairman retired Lt Sohail Ashraf and Islamabad IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi were seen arriving at the parade in the carriage. The video showed event organisers asking the audience to applaud as the officials arrived, but little response could be heard from the crowd. The footage quickly spread online, with several social media users describing the scene as outdated and comparing it with practices associated with the colonial era. Naqvi later issued a clarification, saying the officials should not be blamed for using the carriage. According to the interior minister, the chief guest and he were delayed because of a meeting between the president and prime minister. He said people had been waiting at the venue since 5pm. When it became clear that the senior officials would arrive late, instructions were given to start the programme so that citizens would not have to wait any longer. Naqvi explained that the horse carriage had originally been arranged for the chief guest. However, due to the delay, it was used by the CDA chairman and Islamabad police chief to proceed with the programme. The minister also said both officers had initially been reluctant to begin the event in the absence of the chief guest and himself. He maintained that they proceeded only after receiving specific instructions. Despite the explanation, criticism continued online. Former federal minister Shireen Mazari shared the video and questioned the decision, while digital rights activist Usama Khilji criticised what he described as behaviour inappropriate for senior government officials. Several journalists and public figures also reacted strongly to the footage. Journalist Farzana Ali questioned the appropriateness of such a display at a time when ordinary citizens are facing economic difficulties. Journalist Zarrar Khuhro described the scene as embarrassing, while researcher Ammar Rashid criticised what he viewed as the growing distance between government officials and the public. Former Pemra chairman Absar Alam also condemned the incident, calling it an example of an outdated bureaucratic mindset. Former Sindh governor Mohammad Zubair drew a comparison with the recent visit of Norway’s foreign minister to Islamabad. He highlighted footage showing the foreign minister handling his own luggage at the airport and contrasted it with the behaviour shown in the Islamabad parade video

    Jamaat-e-Islami announces 15-day protest against p…

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has announced a sit-in outside the Governor House in Sindh today against the government’s decision not to reduce the petroleum levy. The party has also prepared a 15-day schedule for the protest campaign. JI chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said an increase in petroleum product prices leads to higher costs across the country and puts additional pressure on ordinary citizens. He criticised what he described as an unequal tax system, saying the country’s elite class was not paying its fair share of taxes while poor people continued to struggle with rising expenses. Naeemur Rehman also alleged that privileged groups enjoyed various benefits without paying their due share, while taxes were not being properly collected from the incomes of owners of independent power producers (IPPs). Meanwhile, JI Karachi chief Munim Zafar said the government had already collected around Rs100 billion more than its targeted revenue from the petroleum levy. He accused the government of turning the petroleum levy into a major source of revenue after failing to achieve its broader tax collection targets. The JI has also announced a protest sit-in in Lahore against the petroleum levy. The demonstration will be held at Charing Cross on The Mall. The party has been demanding a reduction in the petroleum levy, arguing that lower fuel-related charges could help ease inflationary pressure on households and businesses. JI leaders said their protests would continue until the government addressed their concerns and provided relief to citizens facing rising living costs.
