Joe Wicks shares simple habit that transformed his parenting

Fitness coach and television personality Joe Wicks has opened up about how exercise has transformed not only his physical health but also his parenting, revealing that his daily workout routine helps him remain patient with his four young children. The 40-year-old fitness expert, who has built a global following with more than four million Instagram followers, shared the personal insight during a recent question-and-answer session, explaining that he exercises every morning before his children wake up to help regulate his emotions. Wicks said his message about fitness has evolved over the years and is now centred more on mental wellbeing than physical appearance. “The message I always share now is that exercise is about mental health. It’s about boosting your mood into being confident and energised and being a good parent and being patient,” he said. The father of four admitted that raising young children can be overwhelming, but said regular exercise allows him to approach parenting with a calmer mindset. “I have got four kids under seven and they stress me out so much, right? And if I didn’t exercise, I would be like my mum – she screamed at me and shouted at me and slammed doors. I’d be like my dad, I’d be aggressive and so for me, it’s like, I exercise every morning before they wake up, so I’m a calm dad,” Wicks explained. The fitness coach has previously spoken publicly about the difficult environment he experienced growing up. His father struggled with a long-term heroin addiction, while his mother battled obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and eating disorders. Drawing on those experiences, Wicks said he is determined to create a different atmosphere for his own family and believes physical activity plays an important role in achieving that goal. He stressed that exercise should not be viewed simply as a way to improve appearance, but rather as a tool for improving overall wellbeing and relationships. “And that’s what I always share, exercise isn’t about how you look, it is also more than that. It’s so much more than that,” he said. Encouraging others to use their influence responsibly, Wicks urged people with public platforms to promote the wider benefits of staying active. “So just wherever you are, if you’re an influencer or you’ve got a platform, always share that message that exercise is a really powerful tool to change how you feel and help the relationship around you,” he added. Wicks shares four children with his wife Rosie. The couple are parents to Indie, Marley, Leni and Dusty, and the fitness coach has frequently spoken about balancing family life with his career. Known internationally for promoting home workouts and healthy living, Wicks has increasingly focused on the emotional and psychological benefits of exercise in recent years. His latest comments highlight how fitness has become part of his daily parenting routine, helping him stay patient and emotionally present for his children. Rather than chasing physical goals alone, Wicks said his morning workouts are about becoming the best version of himself for his family, explaining that maintaining his own mental wellbeing allows him to build healthier relationships with the people he loves most.

Zayn Malik promotes greenpeace ‘Be Cool’ Tee a…

Zayn Malik has joined forces with Greenpeace UK to promote a new “Be Cool” T-shirt campaign as Britain faces an intense summer heatwave and growing concerns over the effects of climate change. Malik encouraged his fans to support the campaign by purchasing the oversized T-shirt, with proceeds going towards Greenpeace’s climate-focused work and efforts to promote solutions to global warming. The partnership marks another example of the singer using his public platform to draw attention to environmental issues. The campaign comes as the United Kingdom experiences exceptionally high temperatures during the summer of 2026. Several areas have recorded temperatures significantly above seasonal averages, while authorities have issued heat-health warnings. Water shortages have also led to hosepipe restrictions in some regions, as pressure on supplies increases. The prolonged heat has raised concerns beyond discomfort. Dry conditions have heightened the risk of wildfires, while health officials have warned that extreme temperatures can pose serious risks, particularly to older people, young children and those with existing health problems. Greenpeace UK has used the campaign to highlight the connection between rising temperatures and the urgent need for climate action. The organisation hopes the collaboration will encourage people, particularly younger audiences, to learn more about climate change and support measures aimed at reducing emissions and protecting the environment. Malik’s involvement quickly attracted attention online, with fans praising the singer for combining fashion with an environmental message. Many supporters welcomed his decision to use his influence to promote a cause extending beyond music. Social media reactions also brought a lighter side to the campaign. Some fans joked that, with Britain experiencing record-breaking heat, the planet was “getting hotter than Zayn himself.” The campaign arrives at a time when extreme weather is increasingly shaping public discussions about climate change. By pairing a simple summer wardrobe item with an environmental message, Malik and Greenpeace UK are hoping to turn fan enthusiasm into meaningful support for climate solutions.

Ducky bhai questions parents’ role in children?…

Pakistani YouTuber Ducky Bhai has questioned the growing criticism of YouTubers over their alleged negative influence on children, arguing that parents must also take responsibility for their children’s upbringing and online activities. In his recent remarks, Ducky Bhai rejected the idea that YouTubers alone are responsible when children are exposed to inappropriate or negative content. He questioned where parents are when children are spending significant amounts of time online and consuming digital content. According to Ducky Bhai, content creators should make an effort to keep their videos clean and appropriate. However, he stressed that YouTubers cannot be expected to act as parents for every child watching their content. He argued that parents have a key role in deciding what their children watch and how much time they spend online. Monitoring internet activity, setting boundaries and discussing appropriate content with children, he suggested, should be part of responsible parenting. Ducky Bhai also referred to his own childhood while explaining his perspective. He recalled that his father encouraged him to focus on his studies and used rewards, including the promise of a PlayStation for good performance, as motivation. He further revealed that his father had installed security measures on his computer that allowed him to monitor his activities. According to Ducky Bhai, this close supervision helped his parents remain aware of what he was doing online. His comments have renewed discussion about the responsibilities of parents and digital content creators in an age when children have easy access to YouTube and other online platforms. While creators can influence young audiences through the content they publish, Ducky Bhai believes parents cannot simply shift the entire responsibility onto YouTubers. Instead, he says families should actively monitor children’s digital activities and guide them toward appropriate content. The debate highlights a broader challenge for modern families: balancing children’s access to entertainment and technology with parental supervision. As online platforms continue to become an important part of children’s daily lives, both content creators and parents face increasing pressure to ensure that young viewers are exposed to safe and suitable material.

Australia initiates legal action against Telegram over failure to remove extremist content

Australia’s eSafety Commissioner, Julie Inman-Grant, has launched legal proceedings in the Federal Court against messaging platform Telegram, alleging the company failed to comply with statutory safety obligations under the country’s Online Safety Act. The regulator claims Telegram permitted a permissive environment by hosting easily accessible extremist content, including footage of the 2019 Christchurch mosque shootings, the May 2022 Buffalo attack in New York, and filmed terrorist executions. The platform faces potential fines of up to 54.6 million Australian dollars for its non-compliance. The legal action follows a history of regulatory friction, including a one million Australian dollar fine imposed on Telegram in February 2025 for failing to answer inquiries regarding child abuse and violent material on time. Inman-Grant noted that whilst Australia does not license digital services, the regulator possesses the statutory authority to request a Federal Court order ceasing Telegram’s operations within the country if necessary. A spokesperson for Telegram rejected the allegations, stating that the platform’s anti-terrorism moderation efforts are well documented and confirming that the company will contest the claims in court.
