Amaal Malik’s bizarre move at Awarapan 2 party

Amaal Malik found himself at the center of attention after an unexpected incident outside the success party of Awarapan 2. The music composer, who was among the key members of the film’s team, surprised onlookers when he briefly appeared to encourage a fight among fans before stepping in to calm the situation.

The Awarapan 2 success celebration was held on August 24 and brought together several members of the film’s cast and crew. Lead actors Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani attended the event, along with composer and music director Amaal Malik and other members of the production team. The gathering was organized to celebrate the film’s performance following its theatrical release.

However, an incident outside the venue quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the evening. A video showing Amaal outside the event venue has been circulating widely on social media. In the footage, a fight can be seen breaking out among people gathered outside the venue.

Instead of immediately walking away from the commotion, Amaal appeared amused by what was happening at first. He could be seen cheering the people involved and playfully shouting, “Laro laro,” meaning “fight, fight.” He also performed a small, humorous dance move while watching the confrontation.

The situation, however, appeared to become more serious within moments. Realizing that the argument could escalate, Amaal changed his approach and moved toward the crowd. He stepped in to help stop the confrontation and attempted to bring the people involved under control.

In a surprising turn, the composer not only helped separate the individuals but also hugged them, seemingly encouraging them to put the argument behind them. The unusual sequence of events quickly caught the attention of social media users, with many viewers amused by Amaal’s initial reaction and his decision to intervene moments later.

Amaal also attracted attention for his appearance at the event. He opted for a relaxed yet stylish look, wearing a casual blue T-shirt paired with black jeans and a black leather jacket. His informal outfit complemented the celebratory atmosphere surrounding the film’s success.

The composer has particular reason to celebrate the success of Awarapan 2. He was given the opportunity to create the music for the sequel to Emraan Hashmi’s much-loved 2007 film Awarapan. The original movie developed a strong following over the years, with its music becoming one of its most remembered aspects.

Working on the sequel therefore represented an important opportunity for Amaal, especially given the popularity associated with the original film. The project brought together a new generation of talent while continuing the franchise connected to Hashmi’s earlier work.

Awarapan 2 has reportedly performed well commercially since its release and has emerged as a notable success at the box office. The film also reportedly surpassed Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947 in terms of box-office numbers, adding another achievement to its growing list.

While the film’s commercial performance remains the main reason for the celebrations, Amaal Malik’s unexpected behavior outside the venue has given fans another memorable moment to discuss. His transition from playfully encouraging the argument to personally stepping in and embracing those involved made the incident particularly unusual.

The viral video has since added another layer of attention to the film’s success party, putting Amaal in the spotlight beyond his contribution to the movie’s music.

Meghan Markle’s financial reality comes under sc…

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s surprise return to the UK has sparked fresh questions about their financial future, particularly the fate of their lavish Montecito home. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly moving back to Britain with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after six years in California. However, the couple are not currently planning to give up their American base. Several reports say they intend to keep their Montecito mansion, which they purchased for about $14.7 million in 2020. (People.com) Despite those reports, speculation about a possible sale has intensified. A recent New York Post report claimed the Sussexes could eventually consider putting the property on the market because of its enormous running costs. The nine-bedroom estate reportedly carries more than $600,000 a year in mortgage payments and property taxes alone, before insurance, security and maintenance are added. Some local real-estate estimates suggest the property could now be worth considerably more than the couple originally paid. (New York Post) The reports come as Harry and Meghan prepare for a major lifestyle change. Their children are expected to attend school in the UK, while the couple will establish a private British home. At the same time, they are expected to retain their California property and their vacation home in Portugal. (AP News) That means the family could potentially be maintaining three properties across two countries. Financial pressure has therefore become part of the conversation surrounding their relocation. Page Six reported that the couple’s annual expenses could reach around $6 million, including staff, security, mortgages and other lifestyle costs. The publication also reported that their previous major entertainment deals have become less lucrative, with Spotify no longer involved and Netflix’s relationship reportedly reduced. (Page Six) However, it is important to separate confirmed information from speculation. There is currently no confirmed public listing showing that the Montecito mansion is officially for sale. In fact, TMZ reported that the couple plans to keep the California property despite their UK move. People has similarly reported that the Sussexes intend to retain the mansion. (TMZ) Another property has faced more direct sale speculation. In early August, The News reported claims that Harry and Meghan could consider selling their Portuguese retreat because of its ongoing costs. Those claims were based on unnamed sources and have not been independently confirmed by the couple. (thenews.com.pk) For Meghan, the situation highlights the challenge of maintaining an expensive international lifestyle while building new income streams. Her As Ever brand remains an important part of her business plans, while Harry continues his charitable work. For now, the Montecito mansion remains in the Sussexes’ hands. Whether it eventually becomes “the one on the chopping block” remains uncertain, but their return to Britain has undoubtedly placed their property portfolio and finances under a much brighter spotlight.

Xi backs Brazil against foreign interference in call with Lula

Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed support for Brazil’s efforts to protect its sovereignty and resist foreign interference during a phone conversation with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, according to Chinese state media. The discussion took place just months before Brazil’s closely watched presidential election and against the backdrop of growing trade and diplomatic tensions with the United States. According to China’s Xinhua news agency, Xi praised Brazil’s role on the international stage and said Beijing values the country’s influence in global affairs. He stated that China supports Brazil in defending its independence, rejecting outside interference, and contributing to regional and international peace and stability. The phone call comes less than three months before Brazilians head to the polls in an election expected to be highly competitive. President Lula is seeking another term and faces a challenge from right wing candidate Flavio Bolsonaro, the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro. The Brazilian presidency said the two leaders also discussed strengthening economic cooperation. Both sides agreed on the importance of accelerating negotiations for a trade agreement between China and Mercosur, the South American trade bloc that includes Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Such an agreement could expand trade opportunities between the region and the world’s second largest economy. During the conversation, which lasted more than an hour, Lula reaffirmed his commitment to expanding Brazil’s international trade network. He said his government is working to diversify export markets and reduce dependence on a limited number of trading partners, particularly as Brazil faces increased tariff pressure from the United States. Relations between Brasilia and Washington have become more strained in recent months. The United States introduced two additional rounds of tariffs on a range of Brazilian products this month, following a significant tariff increase imposed last year. The measures were linked to political tensions surrounding the legal case that resulted in former president Jair Bolsonaro being sentenced to prison over an alleged coup plot. Lula has strongly criticized the tariffs, arguing that they amount to political pressure during an election year. He has accused Washington of attempting to influence Brazil’s domestic affairs through economic measures, an allegation the United States has rejected. Diplomatic tensions have also surfaced over election related issues. According to diplomatic sources, Brazil recently refused entry visas for two American officials who planned to visit the country’s election authorities ahead of the October vote. The move reflected growing sensitivity within the Brazilian government over foreign involvement in electoral matters. Meanwhile, Flavio Bolsonaro has continued to question the reliability of Brazil’s electronic voting system despite repeated assurances from election officials that it is secure. His claims have echoed similar allegations made by US President Donald Trump regarding American elections, although no credible evidence has supported those accusations. While the Chinese government highlighted Xi’s support for Brazil in resisting external interference, the official statement released by the Brazilian presidency did not specifically mention that part of the discussion. Instead, it focused on economic cooperation and the importance of strengthening trade ties between Brazil, China, and the Mercosur bloc. The conversation underscores the increasingly close relationship between Beijing and Brasilia at a time when Brazil is balancing political challenges at home with shifting economic and diplomatic dynamics on the global stage.

KBO cancels games amid heatwave warning

South Korea’s Korea Baseball Organisation (KBO) has cancelled two scheduled league games after authorities issued the highest level of heatwave warning for parts of the country. The decision was taken to protect the health and safety of players, spectators and match officials as temperatures were forecast to reach 39°C. According to the league, the severe heat warning has been in effect since Friday in the cities of Busan and Changwon, where Saturday’s games were due to be played. With dangerously high temperatures expected to continue, the KBO opted to postpone the fixtures rather than risk the well-being of everyone involved. The two affected matches are: • Samsung Lions vs Lotte Giants at Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan. • KIA Tigers vs NC Dinos at Changwon NC Park in Changwon, South Gyeongsang. Confirming the decision, the KBO said: “Severe heatwave warnings have been in effect for the Changwon and Busan areas since yesterday.” The league further explained the reason behind the postponements, stating: “The decision was made with the safety and health of spectators and players as the top priority.” It also confirmed that both games will be rescheduled at a later date. Under KBO regulations, a heatwave warning may be declared when daily maximum temperatures of at least 35°C are forecast to continue for two consecutive days or longer. Once such conditions exist, the league is permitted to postpone games or introduce other safety measures to minimise the impact of extreme weather. Apart from outright cancellations, the KBO also has the option of delaying outdoor matches by up to one hour. Such decisions are made after consultations between the league’s game operations officials and each club’s game manager. The rule applies to all outdoor stadiums across the league. The only exception is Gocheok Sky Dome in western Seoul. Because it is a fully roofed stadium, games scheduled there can continue without being affected by extreme heat or other weather conditions. The Korea Baseball Organisation has increasingly focused on player and fan welfare in recent years, especially during periods of severe summer weather. South Korea has experienced unusually high temperatures this season, prompting authorities to issue multiple heat-related warnings and advise residents to avoid prolonged outdoor activities whenever possible. Founded in 1982, the KBO League is South Korea’s premier professional baseball competition and consists of 10 teams owned by major corporate groups. It remains the country’s most popular spectator sport, featuring a 144-game regular season that attracts millions of fans every year. Among its most successful clubs are the KIA Tigers, who have captured 12 championships, the highest total in league history. Despite the disruption caused by the heatwave, league officials have assured fans that the postponed fixtures will be added to the schedule later in the season, with safety continuing to remain the KBO’s highest priority as extreme weather conditions persist across parts of South Korea.

Samay Raina takes dig at Badshah with Honey Singh reference

A recent moment from India’s Got Latent Season 2 has caught the attention of social media users after comedian Samay Raina appeared to make a playful reference to the long-running feud between rappers Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah. The moment took place during the show’s second bonus episode, released on August 10, 2026. Following a contestant’s performance, Raina picked up the microphone and began singing a line associated with Honey Singh. The comedian started by singing, “Yo Yo Honey Singh ka fan hoon main,” before moving into lyrics that appeared to reference Honey Singh’s hit song Brown Rang. His spontaneous performance quickly became a talking point among viewers, with a short clip from the episode making its way across social media. The performance particularly caught attention because of its apparent connection to the past differences between Honey Singh and Badshah. One clip shared on X prompted users to discuss whether Raina was deliberately poking fun at the history between the two rappers or simply using the well-known song as part of the show’s comedy. Honey Singh and Badshah have been linked to one of the most discussed fallouts in India’s hip-hop scene. The two artists were previously members of the music collective Mafia Mundeer, alongside other prominent names from the Indian rap scene. However, their professional association eventually came to an end as both artists pursued separate careers. Their differences later became the subject of public discussions, particularly over songwriting, credits and creative contributions. Badshah had previously spoken about his involvement with Brown Rang, claiming that he had written the song’s lyrics. Honey Singh, meanwhile, remained closely associated with the track’s music and production. The disagreement between the rappers continued to attract attention for years, even as both artists achieved major success individually. Their comments about the past have occasionally brought the issue back into the spotlight. In 2024, Badshah spoke about moving on from the differences, indicating that he no longer wanted to remain focused on the past. Honey Singh later commented on the matter and questioned some aspects of the reported reconciliation. Discussions surrounding their relationship resurfaced again through public statements and social media conversations in 2025. Against this backdrop, Raina’s performance was quickly interpreted by some viewers as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the rappers’ history. Although the comedian did not explicitly explain the intention behind the moment, the combination of Honey Singh’s name and Brown Rang was enough to spark speculation and amusement online. India’s Got Latent Season 2 premiered on June 20, 2026, with regular episodes following a fortnightly release schedule. The show has continued to attract attention for its unpredictable performances, comedy segments and viral moments. The programme’s bonus episodes have followed a separate release format, with some content available to YouTube members. The second bonus episode added another memorable moment to the series, as Samay Raina’s Honey Singh reference quickly became a topic of conversation among fans.

Joe Wicks shares simple habit that transformed his parenting

Fitness coach and television personality Joe Wicks has opened up about how exercise has transformed not only his physical health but also his parenting, revealing that his daily workout routine helps him remain patient with his four young children. The 40-year-old fitness expert, who has built a global following with more than four million Instagram followers, shared the personal insight during a recent question-and-answer session, explaining that he exercises every morning before his children wake up to help regulate his emotions. Wicks said his message about fitness has evolved over the years and is now centred more on mental wellbeing than physical appearance. “The message I always share now is that exercise is about mental health. It’s about boosting your mood into being confident and energised and being a good parent and being patient,” he said. The father of four admitted that raising young children can be overwhelming, but said regular exercise allows him to approach parenting with a calmer mindset. “I have got four kids under seven and they stress me out so much, right? And if I didn’t exercise, I would be like my mum – she screamed at me and shouted at me and slammed doors. I’d be like my dad, I’d be aggressive and so for me, it’s like, I exercise every morning before they wake up, so I’m a calm dad,” Wicks explained. The fitness coach has previously spoken publicly about the difficult environment he experienced growing up. His father struggled with a long-term heroin addiction, while his mother battled obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and eating disorders. Drawing on those experiences, Wicks said he is determined to create a different atmosphere for his own family and believes physical activity plays an important role in achieving that goal. He stressed that exercise should not be viewed simply as a way to improve appearance, but rather as a tool for improving overall wellbeing and relationships. “And that’s what I always share, exercise isn’t about how you look, it is also more than that. It’s so much more than that,” he said. Encouraging others to use their influence responsibly, Wicks urged people with public platforms to promote the wider benefits of staying active. “So just wherever you are, if you’re an influencer or you’ve got a platform, always share that message that exercise is a really powerful tool to change how you feel and help the relationship around you,” he added. Wicks shares four children with his wife Rosie. The couple are parents to Indie, Marley, Leni and Dusty, and the fitness coach has frequently spoken about balancing family life with his career. Known internationally for promoting home workouts and healthy living, Wicks has increasingly focused on the emotional and psychological benefits of exercise in recent years. His latest comments highlight how fitness has become part of his daily parenting routine, helping him stay patient and emotionally present for his children. Rather than chasing physical goals alone, Wicks said his morning workouts are about becoming the best version of himself for his family, explaining that maintaining his own mental wellbeing allows him to build healthier relationships with the people he loves most.

Federal Shariat Court to hear challenge to under-1…

ISLAMABAD: A legal challenge to Punjab’s recently enacted law criminalising marriages involving individuals under the age of 18 has moved forward after the Federal Shariat Court cleared procedural objections and directed that the petition be fixed for hearing. The petition, filed by Mufti Muhammad Aslam through his counsel Mudassar Chaudhry Advocate, questions key provisions of the Punjab Child Marriage Restraint Act 2026. The Governor of Punjab, through the provincial secretary, and other relevant authorities have been named as respondents in the case. According to the petition, Sections 2(d), 2(c) and other provisions of the law are inconsistent with the Constitution and Islamic principles. The petitioner argues that declaring marriages involving individuals under the age of 18 as a criminal offence is contrary to Shariah and contends that the state has no authority to interfere in matters governed by Islamic law. The petitioner has requested the court to declare the provisions prescribing criminal penalties for under-18 marriages unlawful and strike down the disputed sections of the Act. The plea also seeks a stay on the implementation of the law until the Federal Shariat Court reaches a final decision. The case had initially faced a procedural objection because it challenged an ordinance that has since been passed by the Punjab Assembly and enacted as law. After the legislation was formally approved, the petitioner amended the plea to challenge the Act instead of the ordinance and resubmitted it before the court. Following the amendment, the Registrar of the Federal Shariat Court removed the objection and ordered that the matter be scheduled for hearing before the bench. The upcoming proceedings are expected to attract significant legal and public attention, as they concern the interpretation of child marriage laws, constitutional provisions and Islamic jurisprudence. The court’s eventual ruling could have important implications for the implementation of the Punjab Child Marriage Restraint Act 2026 and the broader debate surrounding the legal age of marriage in Pakistan. Until the court hears the matter, the law remains in force unless a stay order is granted during subsequent proceedings.
