Armie Hammer breaks up with Reagan Newman after br…

Armie Hammer and social media strategist Reagan Newman have reportedly called it quits after a short-lived romance that attracted attention earlier this summer.

The Citizen Vigilante actor and Newman first sparked dating rumors in June after they were seen together at Pace restaurant in the Hollywood Hills. The pair were photographed sharing a kiss, prompting speculation that they had begun a new relationship.

However, their romance appears to have been brief. According to Page Six, an insider confirmed on Monday that Hammer and Newman are no longer together, saying that the two simply “cooled it down.” (Page Six)

Romance sparks attention

Hammer and Newman’s relationship became a talking point after their public appearance in Los Angeles. Their affectionate moment at the restaurant quickly fueled dating speculation, although neither appeared to make a major public announcement about their relationship.

The pair were reportedly spending time together during a period when Hammer was returning his attention to his acting career. He has continued working on new projects following several years of intense public scrutiny.

Newman, meanwhile, works as a social media strategist and has largely maintained a lower public profile compared with Hammer.

Relationship ends quietly

Despite the early attention surrounding their romance, the relationship reportedly did not last long. The source told Page Six that they had “cooled it down,” suggesting that the split was relatively low-key rather than the result of a dramatic public breakup. (Page Six)

Neither Hammer nor Newman has publicly commented on the reported separation.

Their brief relationship comes after Hammer has faced significant media attention surrounding his personal life in recent years. The actor has spoken about rebuilding his career and focusing on his professional future.

Hammer continues career comeback

Hammer has been working to re-establish himself professionally after stepping away from Hollywood projects amid controversy. His recent work includes Citizen Vigilante, an action-comedy in which he stars and also serves as a producer.

The actor has also discussed wanting to move forward with his career while navigating life away from the intense spotlight that previously surrounded him.

For now, Hammer and Newman appear to have gone their separate ways. Their romance may have lasted only a few weeks, but their public appearance was enough to generate considerable interest among fans and entertainment watchers.

With both reportedly moving on, the short-lived romance seems to have reached its conclusion without a major public fallout.

PML-N eyes two-thirds majority in AJK

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has expressed confidence that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will form the next government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) with a two-thirds majority. Addressing an election rally in Bagh on Saturday, Sanaullah urged voters to turn out in large numbers for Monday’s polling in Bagh and Haveli. He said the PML-N had won 24 seats in the first two phases and needed six more seats to secure a two-thirds majority. Sanaullah predicted that the party would win four additional seats in the August 10 elections in Bagh and Haveli, while securing another five seats when polling takes place later in the remaining constituencies of Poonch Division. He said AJK voters had placed their trust in the PML-N, its leader Nawaz Sharif and the party’s development record in Punjab. The third phase was initially planned for all 11 constituencies of Poonch Division. However, authorities revised the schedule due to law and order concerns. Polling on August 10 will now take place only in Bagh and Haveli, with elections in the remaining constituencies to follow later. Sanaullah also promised that a future PML-N government would focus on development projects across AJK. He further said the government would hold talks with representatives of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), which has been protesting across the region and demanding the removal of 12 seats in the AJK legislature reserved for refugees from Indian-administered Kashmir. Sanaullah said resolving the JAAC’s concerns would be among the new government’s priorities if the PML-N secures a two-thirds majority.

UK cancels military training exercise in Kenya amid legal jurisdiction and funding dispute

The British Ministry of Defence (MoD) has been forced to cancel a major military training exercise in Kenya after the Kenyan government refused to ratify a renewed bilateral defence agreement. The decision follows a stalemate between London and Nairobi regarding the framework governing the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK). Kenyan lawmakers have demanded key structural revisions to the pact, including greater local authority and primary jurisdiction to prosecute British soldiers who commit criminal offences on Kenyan soil. Disagreements over the financial compensation Britain pays to host its training operations in Laikipia have also stalled negotiations. As a direct consequence of the expired permits, a scheduled exercise involving the 1st Battalion, the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, set to begin in September, has been called off, with the MoD relocating the drills to an alternative site outside Kenya. The diplomatic standoff comes amid escalating domestic pressure in Kenya over alleged human rights violations, environmental damage, and misconduct associated with BATUK operations. Scrutiny has particularly intensified around the high-profile 2012 murder of Agnes Wanjiru. A former British soldier, Robert Purkiss, faces a single charge of murder in the case, with Kenya retaining jurisdiction and an extradition hearing scheduled for November. While both governments maintain that they are actively engaging to resolve the outstanding legal and financial issues, the training suspension deals a immediate blow to local businesses in Laikipia that depend on the economic activity generated by visiting British troops.
